Yes, it takes more than a little bit of digging, but if you don't mind doing the work, you can find some pretty good loot at Ross. It's a respository of returned, rejected, unwanted, and discontinued stuff, and most everything gets sold here for a fraction of the original pricing. Tip: While it's useful anytime, for me, Ross is my go-to when I'm looking for housewares, bedding, and travel stuff :-) Quality bedding with with high thread count can be ludicrously expensive, but with quite a lot of digging, I found some very reasonably priced bed sheet here! I am literally person n 13 out of 20 people in line. The line goes all the way thru the regular line and out to the far end of the dresses into swimwear... One cashier, manager lady keeps wandering off avoiding eye contact. Not helping. Let us like she is rearranging tables. Someone in regional needs to come do some retraining. Will never be back. *Ahem* with the best intentions here... and in all honesty, this place is ratchet. The main dressing room is closed because they refuse to staff it (?). So I used the pop-up dressing room in the front and there were clothes strewn about EVERYWHERE. I'm not sure how they are saving on dressing room security costs since the two pop-up stalls were unattended. There was one cashier and a line of 10 customers. I came here after shopping at a competitor store that had 6 cashiers and appropriate dressing rooms. Not likely to return soon. read more

Ross is the best. Fabulous finds, great prices and variety. Different designers can be found.

This is probably the smallest Ross I've been to. Surprisingly, it's well stocked with a decent variety. It's very typical a Ross store with discounted name brands and some obscure stuff mixed in. Prices are great and the store is very clean. It can't be that old. Not the best layout but you can definitely find what you're looking for. If not, the staff is happy to assist. They are friendly. They are well trained and extremely fast/efficient. 12/20 read more

Store is always clean however they never have a good selection anymore. Lamp isle always empty. Decor isle is seriously lacking. Clothes are all meant for children and covered with tacky logos. I've heard of people finding amazing deals on name brand items here but I never see it. read more

Ross is constantly shrinking the size of the men's section in all of their stores and this store is no different. Even though there were a couple of more racks than a lot of them it still isn't enough. Not enough variety either. It seems like I can walk into a Ross now, browse for about 5 min and ok now there's nothing there for me. Before they had men's watches and cologne's, wallet 's, shoes, shirts and pants. They still do but just in a way smaller scale. So I was able to do just that, walk in browse for a good five minutes and head out the exit without purchasing a thing. read more

Corporate: schedule more of your workers, the ones that are here are overwhelmed and getting bitched at by other customers for lack of dressing rooms/workers, when its you who should be getting the reprimand. My biggest thing at any store is the costumer service, this store was definitely lacking. I know people get annoyed when they have greeters at the door but I prefer it. There was three ladies at the cash registers standing around talking not paying attention to who's coming in and out. Selection at this store has low supply compared to other Ross's I've been to. Four stars because I had a temper tantrum 48 hours before a weekend wedding and in a panic, I drove down to Carson City and stopped here before heading to Kohls. In less than half an hour, I found an adorable dress that fit me and that would match heels I already had and was priced great, paid for it and was out the door. SCORE. read more

I don't feel like I have much of a right to write a review for Ross, because there's nothing I plan on saying that isn't...stereotypical. Ross is that cheapo store that women and men love because the prices are so ridiculously cheap, but then again most of the clothes are poor quality. Whatever, I'm not a Ross fan unless I'm desperate for cheap clothing. I found one item that sorta matched what I was looking for (let's bypass the fact that I'm going to return said item), had to look through the rack while some associate jiggled it away from me (gee, thanks, no I -wasn't- using it), and then proceeded to the checkout line which wasn't exactly laid out very obviously. So here's where I didn't appreciate my experience: one checkout lady refused to check me out and simply closed her register on me, while the second cashier basically checked me out with what little effort she could (I really hope this is her first job because she was abrupt). Annnndddd, this is why I hate Ross. Customer service lacks, good luck getting out of there when it gets even a little busy, and have fun looking for what you went in for because organization is not their strong suit. So yeah, I'm not a Ross fan. Besides, everything that I have needed has been found in Burlington Coat Factory, and it's been even cheaper! read more

This beautiful new Ross Dress For Less store just relocated from it's Jacks Valley Road location to the Southgate Shopping Center. Unlike the Jacks Valley Road location, this store is currently well stocked and well organized. The sales associates say it will stay that way. I'm hopeful it will, but time will tell. read more

I just spent close to $100 at the Ross in Carson City. My cart was overflowing with two huge decorative pillows, to bed pillows, a bed pad a folding table and clothing. As I was headed out the door after paying for these items the assistant manager hollered to me that the cart would not go out the door. I said well I can't carry these things. She said well we can give you big bags. I laughed because they are in big bags which I told her but I would have to have at least two more sets of arms to carry things out. I appreciate the carts not going out there's quite a problem with that and I understand it. But an offer of some assistance would have been nice. She finally told me I could pull my car up front and I asked if she would guarantee no one would walk off with my items which she said she would. I may not look it but I am disabled. As I said I appreciate the carts not going out. I did not know this was the case here and I think it's a very good idea, but I also would think they would appreciate the money I just spent in their store and take two Seconds to help me out to my car When it's quite apparent that no matter how many bags they offer I would have to make multiple trips to my car in the rain in the back 40. I really like the new Ross location and store. As with any discount/outlet type store, the selection is hit or miss. However, for the money you save if you find something, it's well worth a look see. This store is well organized, clean and the inventory gets better all the time. I have found some real "gems" here and looking is half the fun. The staff has always been friendly and helpful and I usually stop by once a week. No, this is not the type of store for those of you that want each item folded and wrapped in scented tissue paper and placed in an overpriced, branded tyvek bag with handles. If you want that, please pay full retail somewhere else and leave the bargains for us folks that still know how to iron and steam a garment to perfection. read more

I had a very unpleasant experience at this location. I am a big fan of Ross and I often shop at this store; however, because of this specific experience, they have lost a loyal customer. They now have a bathroom door that requires a code to be unlocked. I had walked over to one of the workers on the floor, who was rearranging some of their furniture on sale, and politely asked if she could unlock the bathroom for me. She responded very poorly. She gave a big sigh and said she would "get to it and see me there". I was put off by this reaction and walked over to the open space at the end of the aisle. She turned around and saw me standing there, not anywhere close to her or pestering her space. She proceeded to raise her voice and shoo me away with her hands and said "I'll meet you over there (the bathroom)!" Clearly, me asking for her assistance was a bother. I was shocked because I've never experienced this type of customer service ever in any store. I was unable to catch the unpleasant worker's name because of the lack of name tags. After using the restroom, I put away the items I wanted to try on because I did not want to spend any extra time in that store. I went straight to the cash register. When asked if I found everything okay at the register, I briefly filled in the cashier worker of this experience and asked if I could file a complaint. She said all complaints are made to corporate and directed me to a poster board that would have the correct number. This board had the store's number and the district manager's number. She was also not helpful in my request of filing a complaint because corporate's number was not where she had said it would be. Overall, my experience here was quite awful--again, one of the worst experiences I've ever had any retail store. I will not be returning to this store for the foreseeable future. I would not recommend this store to anyone. read more

I like the selection of items reasonably priced but I will not shop there anymore. They are losing hundreds of dollars of my business because of this. They are too cheap to have a person monitoring their dressing rooms during the week, so they have opened two temporary dressing cubes near the front of the store. I had to wait in line for 15 minutes to get a dressing room and gave up. I returned the items to the rack and shopped somewhere else. I hope these cheapskates go out of business. read more
