I explained it was a gift for someone, they didn't like it, so they mailed it back to me. By the time I got it, and had a chance to come in again it was a little past the date. I am a local, and I chose to shop local. The tags were still on the item, and I wasn't looking for my money back, but to just exchange for something else. I probably would have ended up spending more. The sales girl said she'd ask the manager to see if it would be ok. She came back and told me she said no. I won't ever be shopping there again!! I showed her a photo of my outfit and she helped me with some options. We narrowed it down to three and the next day I came in with my outfit and made my decision. They have such a great selection, lots of options, casual, dressy, and everything in between. They also have great prices and very unique items you can't find anywhere else. I also was able to pick up a necklace and some earrings made by a local jewelry artist. My overall experience was fantastic. They are conveniently located near heavenly and all the major hotels. Most, if not all, of them are concealed carry types (which we didn't need), but that nice sized pocket can be used for lots of items. This purse had a lot of rainbow-like colors without being overly rainbow. My daughter totally loves her new purse! Success! I called and talked to Shontel this afternoon, because I wanted to get Jessica's name correct. I got the chance to tell them how great Jessica was/is and Shontel was very friendly on the phone, too. I believe his name is Aaron (longish black hair) because he is such a fantastic hype man! He is always bubbly and enthusiastic, and makes me feel so good about my purchases. I generally dread small talk interactions at check-outs, but he makes it genuinely enjoyable. The store itself is great too. If you like to shop at places like Marshall's, Sierra, TJ Maxx, etc., this is definitely the best version of them. I appreciate that the clothes are actually organized, and they have one of the best shoe selections of any store. The prices are generally good and reasonable, but the clearance prices are often extreme deals with the caveat of very limited selection (obviously though, since it's clearance). They also have a really good selection of skin care, hair care, and make up. Those are the discounts I often end up appreciating the most!

I ended up with quite a collection of great work outfits! Today, I came in again, this time in search of overalls for a halloween costume (and everyday wear, so not an obvious costume). The salesgirls once again went above and beyond, finding the one pair left in the store, and it happened to be my size! I tried them on and they fit absolutely perfect. I literally just had the most amazing experience at the Maurices located in the Legends outdoor…read moreshopping mall. It was a last minute decision to go to there this evening and I was not really that excited about shopping...that is until I met Jessica, Denice, and Ciara. I seriously could say this is by far one of the most fun times I have had shopping for clothes. First, the customer service was spot on. They never let me have too many items in my hand by consistently, but not annoyingly, asking if I would like them to take the clothes back to the dressing room. While I was browsing, Ciara cunningly was watching my style and types of clothes I was choosing. This enabled her to pick out pieces and ask if I had seen or considered that item. Second, Jessica, Ciara, and Denise even arranged all the items I had chosen into outfits they thought would look well together. It was incredible! They showed me how things could be mixed and matched all by just hanging them up in the changing room! They showed me not only trendy, but sassy ways of thinking about dressing that could work both for casual or business wear. Denice was so knowledgeable about the specifics and ins and outs of clothing. It was clear that not only has she been doing this for a while, but that she has a passion for her work. Lastly, they said they would love it if I would show them all the outfits as I tried them on, so, what the heck! I felt like a little model (LOL)! They were so kind, funny, and honest about everything I tried on. They were there for anything I needed, whether it was to get some advice or to get something in a different size. When I was ready to check out, Jessica had a smile on her face and said she could see that I could not find anything I liked... she is hysterical! I loved Maurices clothes before, but this experience has me sold! I believe this type of customer service really ensures that customers feel at home and as if they are special. I know that I will be back to that store, I mean it was like having my own personal shoppers! ;o) They did a stellar job and I can't wait to go back for some more Spring shopping!

Brent at the Carson City Blue Zone is an absolute rock star…read more I addition to being kind and helpful he is amazingly knowledgeable. My wife bought new boots, not at this store, and had problems with the fit. Brent bent over backwards to help her out and after several adjustments over multiple visits they now fit her perfectly. He is one of those boot fitting geniuses, that the Tahoe area needs. I have talked to him multiple times about skis and bindings and he really knows his stuff. If you need any help with ski equipment, or skiing, he is also a youth team coach, Brent is your man. Blue zone is lucky to have him.

Prior to the 2024/2025 Season, I had not skied for maybe 25 years? I don't remember why I stopped…read morethis personally enjoyable sport, other that family and professional obligations probably filled up the timescape. After moving to Genoa in late 2020, it took awhile to direct my attention to skiing in general and Heavenly in particular. That happened through a combination of conversations with friends, a good deal on an EPIC Tahoe Value Pass, and realizing that it was about 20 minutes from the House to Heavenly's Boulder Lodge Parking. As far as the Skis, bindings, and boots went, I opted for a season-long rental package through BlueZone Sports in Carson City. I had to buy the poles separately and I already had Helmet, Goggles, and Ski Bib in hand. I ended up with Fischer RC Fire (165) skis with RS9 bindings, and Dalbello Vantage 4F Boots. Looking back on the season, I think that was a good combination, lacking any frame of reference to what might have been better. I went out to Heavenly 8 times during the season, which wasn't a lot, but was a good start, largely on groomed Blue slopes. I'll definitely be out next year and probably with purchased equipment. The BlueZone Sports shop at Lake Tahoe has a Labor Day sale for previous model skis and demos, so we'll see what happens. I was happy with the service that BlueZone provided at both the beginning and end of the ski season. I particularly appreciated the patience shown to this "old guy" as he initially ventured forth and then finished up with a great deal of Alpine satisfaction.
