8/2/2025. There's actually two stores next to each other. One's high end furniture and one's discount furniture. I shopped at the discount side. Found a couch and love seat that I love and a mattress and wooden bed frame. Place was clean and family oriented. The two delivery guys were AWESOME! Jim and Seth. I offered to help, they said nahh we got it. They set up the bed and brought in the couches super fast, and friendly. Definitely will be back to look at dressers and tv stand. read more

We visited the store to ask for help with one of our LazyBoy powered recliners. It just stopped working. The technician called the next day and said he could examine the chair right away. I said, Sure. He arrived in about 15 minutes. We were impressed with Carson Home Furnishings' quick response! He wore his mask and that was much appreciated. After turning the chair over, he quickly diagnosed then fixed the problem, which was a loose power connector.  He also explained how to reset the remote. We went to Carson Home Furnishings in February to look for a new couch. We found one we liked, but wanted to think it over. Came back in March and some other buyer with great taste had purchased our sofa! No worries - we ordered one to be delivered. Anyone who has bought anything to be shipped in the past year+ knows there will be an extended shipping time. Same here. Quoted 14 weeks (!) we decided to go ahead with it. Flash forward 18 weeks - still not delivered. Blane and his team were apologetic, but it was also out of their control. Finally, at 20 weeks, I called for an update and delivery was scheduled. They showed up on time and put together our new sofa. Problem was - the arms were missing. The factory had mislabeled the boxes and sent the wrong pieces. As you might guess, this was a bit frustrating after waiting for something for so long. Blane called the factory to see what they could do. His team called to inform me that the arms would take another 4 weeks - I respectfully declined that response and asked for a call back from Blane. Blane called back to share that they had overnight shipped (for Saturday delivery) the arms and would be out on Saturday morning. Sure enough, Zach came out by 10:15 on Saturday morning to complete the assembly. Although the situation wasn't ideal, we love our couch. It is beautiful and comfortable and we couldn't be happier with our purchase. Blane and his team did their best and I totally understand the challenges that were out of their control. The 4/5 stars is only because I was the one who had to call for updates, several times. It would have been great if they had been the ones to initiate contact. Overall, good experience and we will be coming back for future furniture needs! read more

4 years ago I bought a very expensive sofa and love seat that supposedly came with a full lifetime warranty. I am a big man and I knew that I would break the couch but I was paying for the warranty too so I felt comfortable spending several thousand dollars on two pieces of furniture that I expected to last me a VERY long time. I had to take my own couch into the store for them to tell me that they aren't going to cover the fabric. The service I have received is no where near comparable to the price I payed. Next time I'll buy from Amazon or Ikea. I'll get the same level of service for a much cheaper price. I'll go to goodwill before I do business with this place again. Bought a sofa today. Great experience overall. Store is bright and clean, hand sanitizer available at the door. Had plenty of time to look around before a salesperson (owner?) asked if I needed help. Zero pressure to buy, Just answered all my questions. Salesperson was very friendly, helpful and efficient. I had done quite a bit of shopping and couch was perfect for my budget. Yesterday, I went in to Carson Home to find the perfect couch to replace and update the one I have. Ruth personally helped us narrow down our decision, because there is a lot to choose from in store! While it may feel overwhelming, their expertise on each furniture allows you to feel confident in making the right decision for your home. Then, Carson Home loaded up the couches we selected and immediately followed us back to our home to deliver and set up our new living room. Since our previous couch is going to be repurposed as a couch used for staging the homes we are currently developing, Carson Home also offered to move our previous couch to the new model home. I bought a couch in May 2021, it cost me $1100 . Today I decided to wash the covers.started taking the covers off and discovered the main seated cushion on one side was not the cushion belonging to this couch and in order for it not to be noticed the cover was filled to each side inside the cover with batting . So Carson Home Furnishings sold a couch at full price that was in fact a defective product. Interesting enough I told this couch was the last one they had. Yet a few months go by and I watch the delivery truck for Carson Home Furnishings pull up deliver the same couch. Will not recommend them or purchase anything again. read more

Highly recommend Carson Home Furnishings!! We ordered lay-z boy sectional during Covid pandemic, due to shipping delays it took 8 months to get it (minus the console). Carson Home Furnishings was quick to get it delivered very next day. Upon delivery and unpacking, damage was found on 3 pieces. We were a little frustrated because we had waited this long already to get what we got, not at CHF, just the situation. Having to wait for new pieces to show up and having our living room incomplete was not what we wanted to do. The owner reached out to us and understood our frustration, he asked to come by store because they had gotten new stock in recently to see if we liked anything else instead. What a great addition to Northern Nevada!! A true hidden gem! I am so happy that I found Carson Home Furnishing! Blane, Melissa and their team are amazing! I recently needed to purchase a desk for my home. I found one that I loved online, but was skeptical at first about buying something I haven't seen. Blane assured me that it was a quality desk, so I ordered it. He wasn't joking! The desk was phenomenal. It's all wood, has a hutch and is exactly what I needed, at a price that was very reasonable. When delivery time came, his guys took great caution to make sure the (extremely heavy) desk was set up to my liking. They also were so careful not to dent/scrape our floors. They even put on booties! LOL! Then when it was time for my dad to get a new recliner, we drove down to Carson City to get my dad one. Wow - what a selection! I bought a sofa and loveseat from these guys a few months ago and was very satisfied. Originally, I bought another set from them but it turned out not to be as comfortable as I thought when I tried them in the store. I was unsure how much of a hassle I'd get about an exchange as I'd recently gone through the absolute nightmare of a couple different furniture stores in Reno--never again! To my surprise and relief, they accepted the return, suggested another set, which I did like better, and arranged delivery/ pick up for 2 days later! We came in here looking for a recliner for my Dad that has been pretty ill. Blaine helped us pick a chair and was so helpful. He told us it would take 5 weeks because we choose our own material and had to be special ordered. Our Dad has taken a turn for the worst and we needed the recliner much sooner then we anticipated. He told us we could come down pick out a different recliner and he would deliver it today and not charge us anything for the chair we special ordered and took off $150 off the new recliner. I used to be a customer of a different furniture store in Reno that carried upscale furniture. It's important when you invest in furniture you invest in quality. Sadly tho, as was the case with the now closed and out of business company, good quality furniture does not always come with good quality customer service. Blaine and Melissa Cox are good people! They are true Norther Nevadans. The kind that keep their word and do what they say they are gonna do. Hard to find! They sell quality furniture at a fair price. No price gouging. These are the kind of people that you could give a key to your home to for furniture delivery and you would NEVER worry about a thing. No marks on walls no nothing. If a wall got scuff or something went wrong on a delivery they would have it fix and better than before. That's the kinda quality people Blaine and Melissa are. Purchased a home fully furnished but much of the furnishings were not my style. Went to several furniture stores in Reno and Carson area. Swung by Carson Home Furnishings at met with Paije. Paije had a great salesperson demeanor. I didn't feel pressured and she was very honest and reassuring at the same time. She showed me several couches/loveseats/chaisse that met my criteria and didn't waste my time showing me furniture that I was not interested in or not within my budget. She was able to give me a price I was comfortable with and the whole experience working with her was wonderful. I ended up with the Collins Sofa/Chaisse/Ottoman. Couldn't be happier.
