Wow, what a way to inconvenience customers. I like Ross for the affordability and good prices. But sometimes they inconvenience people. Last night I went to Ross by myself to buy a semi large ottoman. I knew they had a policy about not allowing shopping carts, in the parking lot. When I got up to the register, I asked the cashier very politely, if I could please take the cart to the parking lot really quick, to unload the ottoman and bring it right back. She was very nice and understanding, however I was still not allowed, to take the cart to the parking lot. She told me that I could leave my cart in front of her register, and park my car on the curb, in front of the store to pick it up. In total, I had to literally make six trips just to load one ottoman into my car. One trip walking to my car, a second trip bringing my car to the front of the store. A third trip walking back into the store, to retrieve the ottoman and the cart. A fourth trip taking the cart out of the store to my car. A fifth trip pushing the cart back inside the store. Finally a sixth trip walking back to my car to leave. I almost forgot to mention that when I went to push the cart, out of the exit doors, the pole attached to the shopping cart, accidentally hit the lowered metal gate/bar above the doors. It was quite embarrassing, because it made a lot of noise, and the store was packed at the time. The cashier who helped me, told me I could use the entrance doors to get out. I could have push the cart through the entrance doors to begin with, but I did not want to block the entry way. In reality, all Ross has to do is put one or two shopping cart corrals in the parking lot, and use wheel locks on the carts. And I am pretty sure Ross, can afford to hire a couple employees to collect shopping carts. It just doesn't make a whole lot of sense. Imagine if there are a few customers ahead of me, and a few customers behind me, who also shopped by themselves, and bought large heavy furniture pieces. Then everybody would have to park in front of the store, to pickup their large items. Again what a way to inconvenience customers. Also the layout inside the store is horrible. There is hardly any room to walk, let alone push a shopping cart through. It is the most cramped Ross store I have ever been in. You will get claustrophobic and anxiety, (if you suffer from those) if you are in there for too long. Ross please stop inconveniencing customers. read more

Walk in to this Ross must say they had great inventory to choose from compared to other locations. Price was reasonable and not overpriced. They welcome and greet you when you enter. The staff at fitting room is friendly and cashiers are nice too. read more

I generally love all the Ross stores but this one was bananas. The place is way too small to have that much stuff. I'm a very small person (four foot eight, to be exact) & I couldn't fit down the aisles. There was racks in the way or baskets full of merchandise. The employees were hauling in more things. There really wasn't much selection either, just several hundreds of the same exact items. If you're claustrophobic, I definitely don't recommend coming here. read more

The new manager was so rude and clearly lacked any experience in customer service. I've been to this locations many times and even her interactions with other customers is so awful. She's a young girl and honestly don't think she's capable of being a leader. I literally go to a different Ross now all because of her attitude and demeanor. read more

Went In today and the cashier I went to was very rude to a Hispanic lady !! Didn't want to help her because. She spoke Spanish !! Cashier didn't ask for assistance - this is a paying customer and you were rude as hell !! If the cashier does not like her job she should not be working in CUSTOMER SERVICE !! You have to be in the mood to shop here. There was so much stuff some of it admittedly unorganized, however the different designer items I was able to spot- there was so much I wanted to pick up and take home with me! My daughter and I stopped in due to needing luggage for our flight back to Indiana. While walking around the store, so many designer items caught our eye. Wish I had another day to stay in California to be able to shop more discriminately. We likely would have needed to buy another luggage lol! Definitely worth your while to stop in. We were able to score a very nice luggage, (v large) for under $50. The retail was twice the price. read more

Rude workers. I'm assuming a lot of people steal from this location as I was being followed around everywhere and could not even shop in peace. I felt very uncomfortable the whole time I was in the store, loss prevention kept being called every minute and just over all felt like a bad experience. I spent over $130 here and I almost wanted to return everything because the way I was treated. Store is a mess and people who work here are unprofessional. I would rather go to a different location unless you like to be followed the whole time you shop. read more

Who likes treasure hunts? Personally, I usually do. When it comes to shopping for clothes and shoes, I want a place that is organized so I can get in and out of there quickly. Unless we are one of the first folks into a Ross store shortly after they open for the day, we are normally greeted with a disorganized and messy store (especially on weekends). This Ross Dress For Less at the Cerritos Towne Center was actually pretty well organized despite the tons of folks shopping on a Friday. Service was good. The lady at the checkout register was kind and helpful. My wife and her cousin found a lot of treasures that day at very very good prices. Safe bet that they will return. For me, though, I don't have the patience to shop for treasures at Ross. read more

The first time I went here it was ok, just like any other Ross... the 2nd time I went here I was surprised. One of the workers passed by and asked me if everything was ok, and if I needed a cart...I was surprised!! She was very nice.... Not the typical "customer service" you get at Ross. I love their stuff but they typically don't have what you call "customer service "... It was very nice from her. Only if all stores has staff like that. The lines on my both experience at this store are long, but the cashier does call put for backup so there is atleast 3 cashiers when busy which helps the line go down fast. read more

Just stopped in as I was passing through the neighborhood and grabbed some boxers. Just got home and felt something sharp as I grabbed the boxes out the bag, and low and behold... the nail from the anti theft ink cartridge was still sticking out the boxes. I have a 2 year old that's VERY nosey. I would of lost it if she would of grabbed this or stepped on it. As you can see in the pictures the boxes are still sealed. So yeah, not very happy about this. It's okay to open the box and remove something that can potentially be harmful. read more

The clothes on top of other clothes and on the ground, where did the employees go? idk!! okay, the ISSUE and problem was not the messy store because over all they had a good clothes selection, I give the store that much! after shopping for ourselves, and some shopping done by my sister and her kids, Its was our turn to pay. We met up with Mean & unhappy, very lame employee by the name of Genie Leyva! Keep in mind we are driving from Anaheim, not far but it has to do w/ our VERY, VERY UNHAPPY CUSTOMER SERVICE here!!! We had more than enough money to buy all the items that we brought to the counter, our CHASE BANK saw it as "suspicious activity" Again, we have never been to Norwalk to shop or EAT. Do to multiple transactions, our card got declined but we then got a TEXT by chase who we SHOWED to Weenie-Genie and she said "sorry i cant help you". She grabbed the bags out of my fiance's hand and snatched the few items i had and said " you cant take them, you haven't paid for them" My fiance as many females would, took offense to her literally snatching the bags as if we were to RUN OFF with the items and leave our daughter and sister w/ her kids behind? really? She went ahead and apologized to the next people in line by saying and I quote "sorry for the wait but THEIR CARD GOT DECLINED and THEY didn't want to move"...that is when my fiance checked her! and YES, Weenie-Genie was VERY PROFESSIONAL and was haulering to my fiance with her bull dog shrugged face about "we needed to leave" M.O.D-Leony helped me out. I let her know what Weenie-Genie had disclosed to the other shoppers and how she snatched our bags and items from us, didn't care to look at our text to proof we definitely had the funds($$) for the $250 we were spending their to only get treated like we were trying to shop lift! Coming to Ross is like going treasure hunting. Location: In a large shopping center with ample parking next to stores like Walmart, Kohl's, Ulta, etc. Ross is like a discounted retailer that sells many of the designer clothes at a fraction of the cost. Sometimes you can find something great here and other times you won't find anything. I start off in the back of the store and work my way to the front. The back of the store is generally Home Ware items with a few Pet Care items. Each area is generally labeled with a ceiling sign (Girls, Boys, Men, Women, Petite, Active, Homeware) The location is large but does carry a lot of items so the store does seem to feel a bit intimidating. My favorite sections are the accessories, active wear, and the home ware. I can always find something similar to anthropology here at half the cost. My taste changes with the seasons so I rather save a few bucks than go to the mall to buy something that might not last me a whole season. read more

I walked in to Ross because I needed to make a return. First I checked out the cashier line before deciding to make the return. I wanted to make sure that I would be in and out in little to no time. The purchase line was hugggee.. they only had 2 cashiers working the register which is alittle weird on the weekend. The return line was short and I was glad. I went to stand in line and I was shocked to what happened next. The return cashier calls a purchase instead of a return (Whatt??) Apparently when the purchases line gets lone then the return cashier starts calling people in that line to make them move faster. This is unacceptable because I didn't shop the entire store and my return was supposed to be super easy. Instead of being in and out in NO time.. I was out in 40 minutes.. this was totally different and I'm very unhappy about it.. I'm going to start going to a different ROSS. Also, the place seems unorganized and all over the place. read more

Bad Customer service, Security camera don't work, No security cameras in the parking lot. It's a hot zone for robbers and scammers. If they steal your purse or wallet, they can't show you the camera, and Ross will make it hard for law enforcement to get a hold of the cameras. Also this town center is a hot spot for stolen vehicles robbers will steal your purse or pick pocket your car keys (especially when they are in the back pocket) and go out side with the clicker to find your vehicle and take off. Clothing wise, it's always messy in there. And when you find clothing, it's dirty. Price wise, it's alright if the store was more organized (so it's not alright). That's where I get the one star from and also I can't rate lower like 0 or at least half a star Staff wise, lack of staff (staff shortage) customer is not first, you can say it has bad customer service. A very unfriendly service. This can be due to lack of pay. Minimum wage doesn't get you the minimum anymore. Don't have any pictures of this place if I would you wouldn't Go because the pictures will be the security camera footage of what happened to me while giving mercy to Ross and a chance to see if it's really worth going and giving my hard earned money. I hadn't been to this Ross in a while, and I'm sad to say I found everything in disarray. Granted, when you come to a place like Ross you know you'll have to dig through racks in order to find what you're looking for as items aren't arranged neatly as they are in Department stores. But during today's visit it seemed as if all the racks were picked through and everything put back wherever. There also seemed to be less merchandise on the shelves than what I've seen in the past. The kids section looked almost bare. Sorry to say that I probably won't be back after spending considerable time sifting through racks only to come out disappointed. read more

This Ross is Ghettolicious and I should know since I live in one but don't like shopping in one! I was very surprised to see how dirty and disorganized this Ross was. Not to mention the horrible clothes selection that were available for men and women. I wanted to pick up a cute summer dress , some simple and light , but nope all they had had is loud funky polyester patterns! I would have taken a taken a picture but every time I stopped I was being run over by some Auntie or Grandmother. Then I made the mistake of going to the bathroom. UGH NO . Wrong. The bathroom was filthy and had graffiti CARVED ONTO THE TOLIET SEAT. Who or why I am not going to even ask but I got out of there ASAP. I do think that Cerritos Ross manager needs to buy a new toilet seat. That is below even the filthiest gas station I have been to. read more

Could have been 2 stars but customer service was thumbs down. Example: I was a little disappointed with service when I wanted to see something in the jewelry case. The guy in jewelry section (Michael) asked me if I wanted to see something, Then when I told him I did, he called a girl from the men's section to come over to help me ... he was unprofessional, rude & seemed lazy. The Ross in Signal Hill has a better selection but this one is close to my house. I've seen dirtier, disorganized Ross stores (the one in downtown Long Beach is awful). This one isn't super clean or organized but it's tolerable. Security greets you upon entering then seems to spend much of their time chatting with the cashiers. Unless you shop during an off time, the checkout lines are quite long. I've never seen more than 2 cashiers working at once. However the Signal Hill store has long lines as well. I know this going in so am prepared to spend time catching up on social media feeds while waiting to check out. read more

Larger than your average Ross but man does it look like a disaster area. The shoes section looks like it just went through a earthquake, they were literally all over the side isles and ends of the isles. Though this place is larger than most Ross' one has been to, it is very cramped in the clothing/regular isles. You'll be better of finding a regular Ross at some other location. read more

Ross should get more credit than it deserves. The best items to buy her are sandals, luggage ( lots of Samsonites), and bags. They are usually heavily discounted, but the quality is good. The negative side is that it's a bit unorganized, and it's tough to buy clothes. But luggage and bags are very easy to find excellent deals :) read more

This is my favorite ross so far. I've been shopping here for a few years now. Always very calm, employees always walking around greeting you. My first BAD experience and to be frank very disappointed with the female employee checking me out. I had hands full of items and as she scanned my items she came back to a pair of jeans she had already scanned and scanned to void and said" this is not the correct price for this item it was marked wrong". Grabbed a device behind her and again said this is not the tag or price for this item....what!! Mind you the tag was attached with a sensor!!!! they were clearance market at $6 something and when I asked what the correct price was she gave me a BOGUS price...I guess her brain must know all because she did not scan or try to find "the correct tag ". As I've worked for retail ...I know the partial discription of the items appears next to The item number. It read: Dk Denim . Clearly the item I was purchasing. Anyhow, when i told her that normally even if it was a mistake in price the store has to honor the price for customer. She turned around and said "well no. The price is not correct" I again repeated myself and when she replied - she claimed that it was not an employee that it made the mistake, instead hesitated but said it was changed by a customer!! I guess a "customer" marked all jeans wrong because there was plenty of the same marked at the same price. She pretty much insinuated that a I somehow managed to remove the sensor and attach a different tag with a sale price!!!! Mind blowing!!! I was there at night and had no energy to even deal With this employee or to even ask to speak to a manager. I simple just laughed payed my items and left the store. I was there today, found a pair of shoes and some other items that I needed, I went into the fitting room and left the pair of shoes inside cart, took some shirts for fitting and when I came out the shoes were gone, I asked the girl if she saw what happened to the shoes and she was rude when she answer me saying that she did anything. So I went to the front and asked the guy at front and he said that can not helped me , also kind of rude with his answer and face expresión. At the end I found someone else inside like a guard and asked him if he could help me , and also in rude way he asked ( with what ? ) I explained to him he just asked on the radio and he said that the don't now anything. At the end they lost the sale, l left all the items and walk away, the reason they lost my business if because of the rudeness of the employees not because of the shoes someone took from my cart. I'm usually loathe to agree with the popular opinion but this place quite simply sucks. So I was looking for a few pairs of jogger pants, and those are expensive pretty much everywhere. Now mind you, I don't really believe in paying $40 for a pair of pants, so I ended up at Ross. I didn't find specifically what I came looking for, and security seemed to be very interested in a 6'2" Hispanic Hipster (me), but I ended up finding a pair that I really liked. Now, I'm going to disregard the near-authoritarian security team, and the weird, oddly-specific etiquette for the fitting rooms (things like the fact that you have to place all items individually on a tiny coat rack so the attendant can verify each piece of clothing in a grueling manner). Sure, it's a crappy way of dealing with theft issues at the cost of your customer (and your own labor cost--it's actually quite self-defeating if you think about it) but that was the good part, of you can believe it. The cashiers, man. It took me 40 minutes from the time I got into line to the time I left the store. The sun quite literally set from the time I went in to the time I left, and most of it I was able to observe while sitting in line. These cashiers move as if their bar code scanners are a truly herculean tool that requires the strength of 10 strong men, but they alone can handle it slowly, but surely. I watched cashiers live the till, Cashiers scanning one item every minute, Cashiers sitting at the desk and staring at the line. The speed at which they moved would shock a snail. Then it gets worse. After waiting in line for 25 minutes, I finally get a cashier to attend me, and the pants I want have no tags. I told them that I had tried on 6 jogger pants and that most of them were about $10-13. I didn't care about the price, but I have a rule about honesty, which is why, imagine my surprise when she rings me up at nearly $20 and basically called me a liar for saying that. Then imagine her surprise when I told her to call her co-worker in the fitting rooms and lo and behold, the price magically dropped to $11.99. Awful, slow customer service, non-existent management (probably should be fired, they clearly don't take it seriously), and the stock is very inconsistent. I won't be coming back. read more

I've been on a Ross quest for, of all things, shoes. I remember my first pair of leather shoes were ballet shoes. I think ever since then I've been hooked on durable, long lasting shoes vs. fashion shoes. At my other local Ross store, I picked up a pair of leather sneaks and some leather boots. Today I found a pair of Carlos Santana brown leather high-heeled clogs. Even though I know what these are worth, they hit the value mark in the materials used and detailed design on the leather. Looking for shoes at Ross is like mining gold. Even when you don't need them, you have to look because something of interest might show up. I rarely find the pair I need on an emergency basis at Ross but I always find shoes that I can use in the next season. Of course, I wouldn't expect to find these shoes at the prices I find at Ross. I got 3 pairs of shoes for less than what the CS brown clogs cost at regular retail price. read more

The place is so disorganized and hard to find name brand clothes as they advertise in TV. However, I did find what I was looking for ..summer clothes. Bought bunch that ranged from $15 -20. I think I can get the same price at Macy s but I am here . On a positive note the cashier clerk was nice and friendly. read more
