I had a very disappointing experience at Zumiez on 6/13 around 6:05 PM. We waited approximately 30-45 minutes for assistance while several employees, including the cashier, were having personal conversations about their weekend and other non-work-related topics instead of assisting customers. While trying to pick up my online order, the employee assisting me allowed another employee to take over the same computer so they could process an employee discount for a friend. My transaction was interrupted, my order was passed between employees, and at one point they could not locate my online order. After being patient for quite some time, I finally expressed my frustration and explained that I felt ignored and discriminated against based on the way I was being treated. Unfortunately, when I brought my concerns to the manager, Ashley, I did not feel they were taken seriously. She appeared to dismiss my complaint and returned to laughing and having personal conversations with the staff. As a customer, I felt completely ignored, disrespected, and as though my time did not matter. I understand stores can get busy, but basic acknowledgment, professionalism, and respect should still be expected. I'm sharing this review because I hope management takes this seriously and improves the customer service and professionalism at this location ,please review the camera footage . No customer should have to wait that long while watching employees socialize and feel as though their concerns are being laughed off or dismissed. read more

Yo, shout out to the the two ladies that help myself and my husband today (working the morning shift 12.16.20 I apologize I didn't ask them their names). However, these two ladies was holding it down today, the manager put our skateboard together and offered suggestions. She was super laid back and very helpful. Once our board was ready the cashier the other young lady that helped us. Repackage our skateboard so that it'll be ready for Christmas. With all this uncertainty going and people not at will to offer help these days. These two ladies normalize our shopping experience. Thank you for your added effort. went in with my 12 year old daughter yesterday and walked in really not to families with sizes yet alone styles but my daughter had a clue of what she wanted . I was quickly helped by a sweet employee who was able to quickly get a size based of my daughters previous pants. Her name was Ana and then there was another really nice girl named Sophia who also got me different sizes on muliple occasion to finally get the perfect fit for my daughter. My birthday is in a few days so I decided to buy myself a new watch. Stopped by just before lunch time and was greeted as I walked in. The brunette was super helpful. She asked if I wanted to try the watch on before purchase which I did. She also resized the watch for me which is un heard of these days. AND she even asked if I wanted my old watch that I was wearing in my new watch box as I was wearing my new one out. January 10th around 7 to 8pm Wasn't greeted. Beyond rude. The younger gal such curly hair was sweet. The manager I think who seems to be Persian I may be wrong but short, some grit, longer dark hair... rude. Tell me why I was treated better at hot topic than zumiez. Never felt so unwelcomed or like I was inconveniencing them. Seem they just like to talk and hang out with co workers aka the dudes more than be happy to make a sale, the store is already slow as heck and could use some income. They don't care though. I wish I could personalize this review a bit more, but can't. Due to store policy I can't get the lady's name who helped me out. I only know her by an alpha-numeric code. I was greeted warmly by a young latina lady, and a young black guy upon entering this Zumiez. I was told about the sale rack (buy one get one half off!). I was asked if I needed help finding what I needed, and kinda gave the lady a general idea. She was really helpful and bubbly. She ended up ringing me up after I tried stuff on as well. The store in general was pretty clean. The racks weren't really organized, but they were clearance racks. I decided to try this place out to get some shorts, (which they were okay for regular use) It took a while before I could actually get help. The employees scream to get the attention of another worker. Never seen that before in a store shop. I usually dont write any reviews good or bad.But I had to take the time to write about this particular store,since a lot of young folks shop here and hopefully the store manager does not take them for a ride.She sold me a buy 4 items for $90 deal.I had come back to exchange the pants for a different size and she helped me with it.However when I came back the second time around to exchange (not return) the T shirt with all tags on and receipt within their so called 30 day period she told me it was a red tag and final sale on that item.However there was no mention of final sale when we purchsed the product the labels just had BOGO 50% off. She told me this was my second exchange (please note it was a totally different item and well within 30 day period with receipt and tags on)so she could not honor multiple exchanges .So I politely asked her could you please point out in the receipt where there is a mention of no multiple exchanges or returns within the 30 day period. She told me since she was the manager of the store it was her discretion to change things around.So then why ask for a receipt and tags to be intact during exchanges/returns when you dont follow your own return policies and change it as per the whims and fancies of the employees working therefore ?Maybe as an organization they have not taken time to coach and train their employees in ethical practises and to change things on a whim as long as they meet their bottomline without putting the interests of their customers first.I am just wary of stores that dont have good ethics.It is reflected in the way employees treat their customers! It's so sad that even as a store manager,Zulema at Cerritos Zumiez,couldn't even help my niece with her purchases online! My 12 year old niece was in search for a sweater she saw on the internet. She took a picture of it,and we walked into the Cerritos Zumiez,thinking we could get help finding it. Unfortunately they didn't carry it in the store,but a similar one was available for order online. As Zulema began to place the order for my niece, a costumer stood behind us,very patiently waiting as they browsed at some items. Instead of Zulema turning around to greet them and let them know she'll be right with them, she somehow left my niece at the computer,and began helping the costumer,who was AFTER us!! I stood there to see how long she was going to take before realizing she totally disregarded my niece! Over 10 minutes past,when I nicely brought it to her attention that my niece still needed her help on the order, and that it's probably best to finish helping the first costumer before you take on the next! Its confusing to both parties, not to mention it's RUDE period! Plus,it's not like that costumer was being impatient or showing signs of needing help,as a matter of fact,they didn't even say a word to Zulema. But I guess she forgot about the importance of giving each costumer a great shopping experience! That wasn't the worse part. As it took longer the expected,I took my baby nephew to the restroom,leaving cash and a credit card with my responsible older nephew,because I was already informed that orders can be paid with cash or card. I left,and it seemed that when I got back,my niece and nephew were standing near the register,while all the other costumers who walked in way after us,got rang up for their stuff,yet my niece was there a while before any of those shoppers,and she was the last one to get rung up! I asked both my niece and nephew what happened,and they said that the girl never came to finish helping them or said anything to them,so they just stood their under the impression she would lead them to the next step (Pay for items). I was furious at this point!! Please someone explain to me how did my niece get skipped time after time?? How does Zulema work in costumer service, but doesn't fully comprehend how to GIVE GOOD COSTUMER SERVICE? I can't seem to wrap my head around the thought that all Zulema needed to do was ring up our order,and get us out of there so she could continue to the next client!! What was difficult about that?? When we finally made it to the cash register,I firmly asked the nice gentlemen (Who is the reason why I gave the one star) where was the miscommunication because my niece and nephew should of been done a long time ago,we only ordered one sweater,not the whole store!! The gentlemen informed me that he was never communicated to ring them up at any point! And this whole time,Zulema was folding t shirts! I can't believe the unethical behavior a STORE MANAGER could bring upon two kids who are loyal shoppers at Zumiez!!! We're they ignored because they were young and she thought they don't count as people? Because of her lack of acknowledgement towards my nieces and nephews, I refuse to let this slide!! It's sad I had to bring it to her attention to please focus on helping my niece more then once! I drove 40 minutes to pick up a pair of shoes because it was the only place that had them and I needed them by tomorrow. I called to confirm they had what I was looking for in stock. After I received confirmation, I drive there, to not see the shoes displayed. I ask the lady behind the counter who tells me, "if they're not on the wall, we don't have them". I tell her that the website says they have them and I called yesterday and the guy I talked to said they had them. She says she'll check in the back......and voila! There they are, despite what she told me. I try them on and go to buy, which takes about 15 minutes to check out because of some issue with the one person in front of me.
