Today my daughter was injured at Floor & Decor at the Downey, CA location. The Design Supervisor Elizabeth Meonoz falsely claimed to the other women at the front registers that my daughter was running. Elizabeth was there when the incident occurred and she did not ask if my daughter was ok. Instead she left the incident and unprofessionally laughed with her coworkers about the situation. At this point they assumed my daughter only had scrapes after falling on the heavy metal frame, however she hit her mouth and her head as well. The gentleman who was the manager at the time understood my concern about the unprofessional behavior of the multiple women on the floor. I appreciated his approach and concern. However, I hope that the management and supervisors of the store give these women workers and especially Elizabeth Meonoz the appropriate disciplinary and accountability for her negligence and unprofessionalism. read more

Rude manager Oscar hung up on me . I bought viyle flooring and had an extra box opened and sales guy said we can't return because box is open . So I walked out called the manager because I didn't want to make a scene . Oscar the rude manager said no they don't take back no vinyl flooring even if the the sales rep at the time said it's no problem. He said how can I reward you for bringing something back you didn't pay for. The audacity of this man!!! I was not the one that said I could get a 10% discount first of all! In my opinion and based on my experiences, Floor & Decor's customer service is horrendous and their staff are typically rude, unmotivated to work and incompetent. It's a shame that, it appears to me, that they don't care about their customers at all and are just in it to make a quick buck. It's really disappointing to have these types of experiences when you have high hopes and high demands for the goods and services being sold. To Whom It May Concern: I need to let you know the service at Floor & Décor in Downey is impeccable. I recently inherited my parent's home and soon found out there was serious issues with the bathroom requiring a full remodel. I have probably only changed a light bulb three times in my life. Dominique Short was more than patient with my indecisiveness and continually went above & beyond to ensure I have a gorgeous bathroom. She insisted that I show her pictures of the bathroom when completed. In my opinion that shows how much she cares about the customer and her work. When she was not available, her colleague (unfortunately I did not grab her business card) always jumped in to lend a guiding hand. Unfortunately, I have contractors that are now basically destroying my house. Understandably, this is quite emotional and frustrating. I have had to return to F&D numerous times and there was Jocelyn Galloway to the rescue. She is so kind, patient and shows true care and concern. There have been smaller interactions with other staff at F&D and each interaction was outstanding. At this point, most recognize me and always ask, "What did the contractors do this time?" Again, this shows how much the employees care about the customers. Additionally, everyone seems so happy to be working at F&D. She wasn't pushy with her ideas and she kind of read me and helped me pick exactly what i wanted. I love Floor and Decor because I was able to bring back the over flow of tile (she had me order 2 boxes of tile for niche). A few times when I tried to reach Jessika to answer questions she was non-responsive but her coworker (Dominque) saved the day and was able to pull up my project and give me her professional design advice as to the color of grout to use (I had purchased ivory and frost). The selection is huge and prices are reasonable. It's surprisingly hard to find places with with kind of selection and reasonable prices. I want to acknowledge Elizabeth, one of the designers at this Downey store. My husband and I scheduled an appointment with her, to get assistance with shower and floor tile for our bathroom remodel. Elizabeth was very professional and helpful, walking us around the store to look at options. After our appointment, during the week, I emailed her to ask another design question and she promptly responded. We visited the store two more times to ask some more questions and she was always so gracious in answering our questions. Although about a month had elapsed since our last visit, she remembered us and the design options that she had discussed with us. My husband , 5month old baby and I went in with a very slight idea of what we wanted for our new bathroom but once we got to the store we were completely lost on where to start. We don't particularly enjoy choosing tile or anything home related, we are also clueless when it comes to it, j mean we had no idea what grout even was, edges, etc.... Nathan, came in and rescued us with all his help, guidance and ideas. I showed him a picture of what I liked on Pinterest and he helped us navigate the very overwhelming decisions from the big to little details. Floor and Decor is good place to shop , not so much for contractors because they are proud to give a regular , non contractors our contractor pricing , there removing the possibility of us marking up the product. They are not always well stocked , if what they have is what you need , then you are in luck but good luck finding it when you go back . I (as a contractor) shop at F&D and I do like the place. I was fumbling around trying to figure out a design for a bathroom remodel and two days away from stalling construction if I didn't have the material ready for installation. Yes, I procrastinated my way into this situation. I met with Elizabeth Meonoz and we came away with a design. She advised me to take samples home and look at them in the room light, because I chose a dark floor tile, and yeah, it was too dark. I went back the next day and she called my second floor choice "beautiful", I chose marble, from there Elizabeth put together wonderful shower tile options for me to choose from (plus grout) and I now have a design I'm excited to have installed in my bathroom. Last week my husband and I went to purchase tile for a home project and we spent alittle over $400 to start. Upon checking out we noticed other people admiring the same tile(which was on sale) And we asked to make sure it would still be there and we're told yes. Anyways we paid and it was put on hold( so we thought) for our contractor to pick up the next day. Fast forward to the next day it wasn't there. It was an employee error that could've gone very wrong ...BUT here's why I gave a 5 star rating. I called and spoke with the Manager Nathan. He didn't hesitate to apologize and do his best to fix the situation. He didn't put it on me or my contractor to fix. He put me on hold and when he came back the tile was promised by early the next day. Yes we had alittle delay but we so appreciated the time and effort put in to fix it!
