This location has got to be the most busiest, people all over the place, best priced items, fully stocked, large variety, unorganized shelves, clothing racks too close, and the longest register lines of all Ross I've shopped, in southern San Diego. The one thing I must say, staff at the registers are quick! Thank you! Parking lot can get full. You might see homeless people walking around parking lot. Security guards are now checking receipts before exiting the store, just like Costco and Walmart. Not a had thing but can be annoying. I only shop at this location because it's several miles from my home. Otherwise, I would go somewhere else that's calmer and not so busy with people everywhere. read more

I may be a little generous with my stars I was vastly underwhelmed with the service. I will say that the line was a mile long and they did a GREAT job moving the line. I had 2 things on my list and I suspect if I could have found an employee in the shoe department I may have walked out with both items checked off my list. I could not find a pair of shoes that fit all my criteria, size, style, color, quality, brand, and to an extent consumer reports if I haven't heard of the brand. I left shoeless unless you count the ones I walked in with. Along those lines I saw an item that wasn't on today's list because I didn't think to put it there was a little thing to transport my guitar picks. (They are custom picks I use as special souvenir business cards - not to be confused with my everyday business cards) Anyway I found a set of nail clippers in a cool keychain type setup, the the mail clipper holder would be perfect if I could get rid of the branding. There was a set that had no clippers so I figured they'd give me a huge discount. I searched for someone to help me I sound someone that didn't understand my American English and in perfect English told me so. After this happened twice I gave up and hoped my cashier spoke English and could help me out . She could and she couldn't. I'll give her credit she tried but the best she could do was knock 10% off. Since the most important part of it was missing I felt 75% off was fair. Let's just say I walked out of the store with one item checked off my list,a 2 star review. As a 70 old year main with slight mobility challenges I didn't really feel safe. the place was cluttered with boxes, merchandise and customer all tripping hazards. The deals here are always great! I got a huge bag of clothing for only a hundred bucks. The store is always super busy no matter what time or day it is and the place is always a bit hodge podged together. Also there's never anything that is the same. If you buy something and want it again expect it not too be there. Weird thing that is always and I love to buy is they always have bags of Starbucks coffee so I buy a ton of those everytime I go. read more

I don't understand why they got low reviews, maybe people just frustrated for other reasons, because holy cow I can't believe I skipped this Ross location, it was huge inside, and yes crowded, you can't walk around here without running into people on every aisle, they are everywhere, so many stuffs to check out, the reason I liked it because it got a lot of stuffs I missed out a few years ago either I didn't find the right sizes or I was reluctant to get it at the time, jeez now I got like 5 shirts and 1 sweatshirt in one trip, that's how many items I wanted to buy. Plus they have some unique and oddly items, I would call them hidden gems, they have small electronic area, but their clothings and shoes racks were filled and piling on top of each other, you will shop until you drop, the check out line was also long, and busy, so many people but not a lot of staffs; I wish I had more time to explore more things but I ran before 9 PM to Panera for my drink fix. Their jewelry also great, watches, necklaces, sunglasses and yes rings, they do have more rings, but I do need a size 5 for a specific design, I am sure they were all gone due to that many foot traffic :) damn read more

I came to Ross's to look around while I waited for my friend to meet up with me for happy hour. Ross is a few doors down from Applebee's. As I entered, place wasn't too busy with mobs of people. I walked around and stumbled into the dress section. I was looking for a cute summer dress and I found it. See my picture. I ended up buying it. I walked around some more to see what was in the store. I managed to look at the section where they had cute tops but not too much to choose from. Some of the clothing racks were limited. I didn't want to spend too much time in the store because I know how long the lines can be. As I approached the line, it wasn't too bad. The line moved fairly quickly. One lady in front of me had a whole cart full of crap. As I got to the cashier, she didn't seem friendly. She asked me if I was paying cash or card. I told her card and she asked me to swipe before I got the total. I like shopping at Ross's but it's a hit or miss when I shop at different locations. The store was descent and wasn't too messy as most people complain about Ross's stores. I just didn't like how it was limited in selection. read more

Piasa headquarters usa!!! This is my local ross store and its a love hate relationship. Its either i get lucky and find something or i don't. This store is extremely packed 24/7. Good thing is they close hella late tho on weekends 1:30 or 2AM and weekdays 12:30 and sundays i believe at 10. So if your ever have an accident at applebees all over ur shirt walk over to ross they will be open. Let's start out with the positive things. Shopping at Ross is like going on a big treasure hunt. The gems can be found but it takes a lot of time and patience to sort through the junk and disorder. I shop at Ross to find my favorite brands of clothes and shoes such as BCBG Max Azria, Vince Camuto, MIchael Kors, Steve Madden, etc. I can always find something at Ross. But the experience isn't always that great, such as is the case with this store. This store is always a mess. So much merchandise is damaged on the floor with carts running over items and dragging them down aisles. If shopping for shoes, you have to go through every rack because your size will be found strewn about anywhere. And once you have selected your purchases, be prepared to wait..and wait..and wait. You will lose your patience, you will even 2nd guess the items you chose and take them out of your cart. You will think about the items you didn't select but decide not to go back for them because you don't want to lose your place in line. The 2 or 3 cashiers look so frazzled trying to deal with the long lines. If Ross is trying to pass on savings by keeping the place minimally staffed, it's not a good plan. They are losing out on quite a few customers that just don't bother buying that one item because it's always a long line at the registers. People who do decide to give up an hour of their time to wait in line end up with too much time to rethink their purchases. All along the line, you can see items that were taken out of shopping carts that people may have bought on impulse. The sheer amount of items put back could easily cover the hourly wage of added a cashier or two. Or even having a dedicated line for 2 items or less. Although I feel almost bad for those overworked cashiers, there are a few employees that just stand around, looking at the clock all confused. I am not sure what they are doing behind the register, because they certainly aren't helping the cashiers. You may find a few aimlessly walking around the aisles but not really doing anything at all. I am not talking about Security, just one or two random employees that look lost. I will end this review on a positive note. On my most recent visit to this Ross, after about a 32 minute wait at the register line, I did score a pair of Calvin Klein leather sandals for $5.99, a pair of very cute BCBG wedges for $16.99 and a cute Romeo + Juliet couture dress for $19. read more

I'm a Ross fashionista I love the idea that no matter what store location I shopped at I always find something different. This location caters to larger sizes in clothing for women. Their shoe department for women carries a larger selection of shoes from size 10-12. So when I need to find items for my daughter and myself I shop here. I don't mind going to this location, especially if I'm running errands around the area. I will say that parking can be hard to find at times and this location gets super busy. The lines for check out and sometimes for returns can get super long. They do try to get as many registers open, but the lines still get long and you can expect to wait for a while before you can checkout. The aisles can be packed full of items, but they can overflow and they don't get organized as often. I still like this location, but it's hard to enjoy your shopping experience with items laying around and aisles being really narrow. I would recommend a basket while shopping because the carts can be a bulky accessory when shopping at this location. read more

So NOT worth coming here!! We Came On A MONDAY a damn weekday, and the store was a mess, unorganized and no help on the sales floor whatsoever! We waited IN LINE for 40min just to pay for 4 small items! I would've left and shopped somewhere else but I needed my shoes for a debut that I was invited to last minute and I was running short on time so I had no choice since I found the shoes I needed for a good price. I was lucky to even see SOME clothes in the right spot, good luck trying to find your size! I have no idea why it was SO busy that day but there was literally only 4 registers open, slow slow slow service. It seemed like it was Christmas shopping all over again too. The customers were all rude as well, they would let people cut in front of them in the line and the stuff they didn't want they would leave on the aisle where everyone was waiting to pay. People need to be more considerate and if they don't want any items they should hold on to it and give it to the cashier instead of placing it on the floor or leaving a ENTIRE CART in line. I live only a couple block away from this horror show and rarely go here, but both my kids needed new shoes asap, so there ya go. I got there about 5 - 10 minutes after they opened and the place was a MESS. Seriously, do they EVER clean up? The kids' shoe area was a nightmare, all the sizes were mixed up. I'm already getting anxious and my poor older son, who is autistic looks like he's trying so hard not to get overwhelmed. We eventually found selections for both of them and we were on our way.... or so I thought. I got in line - I was maybe the fourth or fifth person in the purchase line, and there were five people in the exchange/return line - and two cashiers. One would think that one cashier would take the purchase line, and the other would take the return line, right? NOPE. They both took people form only the return line, even when the purchase line got 8 or 9 people deep. Celia/Cecilia on register 1 was chatting it up with every person returning something. I was in line for about 15 minutes without it moving before a gentleman in front of me said what we were all thinking (everyone in line looked pretty pissed off at this point) and another cashier finally showed up. She got through 3 people before Cecilia was finished talking with her return. It took me almost three times as long to check out as it did to find the shoes. I will never, EVER go to this Ross again. I only come here as soon as they open the doors at 8am because 2 hours later the place is MESSY!! Seriously how can females be so messy and nasty!! She was very very rude and so not helpful she made me take my hangers off the clothes I was buying and not only that she tells me to take my receipt from her machine . I've never been a store manager, but I know that they could manage this place better. The lines are crazy long, and hard to follow - and the store atmosphere feels old school and dingy, could definitely use a face lift. I won't go there again... I recommend they take a look at how Marshalls runs their cashier lines; their system seems to work - entertain the customers with items to buy, while shuffling them to the register in an orderly fashion. read more
