This is one of the most organized thrift stores I have ever been in. All the clothing is organized by size, type, color. Everything is in good repair, there are dressing room rooms, and they have a great selection of not only clothing, but shoes, accessories, housewares... This is my new favorite thrift store! The employees were really nice, the clothes were so well organized by size and color and the prices were great! So much better than other thrift stores that charge close to retail. I got a dress for myself and a bunch of toddler clothes (about 2 bags worth all together) and it was $34! great thrift store, but be aware that if your item doesn't have a price tag you can't take it.

Watch the register as you are rang up. The cashier's will change the price of your items vs what they are marked, for up to 50 percent more. Then if you call them out on it they want to argue with what the price is clearly marked as. If anything came as a "set" they will break it up and sell individuall pieces. I.e. sell the bored game in the box but all the pieces in a siploc on a different aisle. Lids, and bottoms separate. Salt and pepper separate. Power cords separate from device, coffee pots separate from their maker, outfits like pajama sets separate , etc. At this point I am surprised they don't sell the shoes by right or left. read more

I'm so glad I found this Thrift Store. I love thrift store shopping, but usually head to goodwills or others. Deseret is seriously a hidden gem. It's clean and super organized, just like a retail store. I've only been to this store three times since discovering it a few months ago, and I've found quite a few steals. Prices seem to be pretty reasonable as well, nothing overpriced like other thrift stores. My first time at Deseret I found a brand new Jessica Simpson cross body bag, GAP Shorts, Hollister shorts, and a T shirt all with tags for under $15!! Amazing thrift store! One thing to keep in mind is that this place is real popular and the parking lot is small and often packed. I came in right as they opened and the parking lot was already full. However, I do see why people love this place. The inside is organized by type of clothing as well as color coded, something you don't normally see as thrift shops. They also have dressing rooms on each side of the store which is great because you can try items on before purchasing. Items are well checked before put on the racks, as I have never seen a dirty or ripped item when browsing. They also have a LARGE selection of shoes. Most of this store is composed of clothing, but they do have a section in the back for other items. Deseret makes it easy to shop for used items, and they have decent prices as well. read more

This place used to be great but now it is worse than Goodwill. Everything is overpriced and you can tell that the items are picked through before being placed on the floor. They have different employees weekly which shows how terrible management is. It's sad to see how a place that provided a good deal to it's community by selling DONATED aka free items at a reasonable price ruined by bad management. read more

Still a big place with decent prices, but... Do not go to this thrift store if you are at all sensitive to floral air "freshener" scents. It's WAY TOO STRONG and will give you an instant headache. I actually love this store. It's clean, well organized and well run. The prices are pretty good, although I think some of the $5 and $6 clothing items should be a dollar or two lower. My only other complaint is the odor of the clothes. They seem clean and in good shape, but whatever they put on the items, be it Febreeze or whatever, has a strong perfume smell that is almost impossible to wash out. It's a problem for those of us who have perfume allergies. All in all, I would say the store is a very good place for folks to find things they need at a reasonable price. read more

This place I discovered is amazing!!. -I had my car being taken care of across the street, for tires. I live about 35 minutes away from this place, but since I was across the street, I went in!. I have been in several second hand stores before, but this place is perfect, incredible. Love this thrift store! And it has real thrift store prices, not like Goodwill. Everything is reasonably priced for being 2nd hand items. You can find some great finds for very good prices. I thrifted like mad in the 80's, buying up any and all vintage rags I could get my sweaty little mitts on. Back then clothes were cheap and easy, like most of my friends after a few shots of Everclear. Those days are long gone but you can still unearth abundant treasures at this South Bay shopping mecca. This Nordstrom version of a thrift shop has clothes thoughtfully arranged by color AND size, something you rarely see in other shops. I found a hot Laura Ingalls meets Rodarthe blouse for $4 and a gorgeous dark Italian leather travel bag for $6. There were rows of bags and shoes and I didn't even get dizzy from the smell of mothballs and old-man like I do at Veteran's thrift. I'm hooked and thankfully for my liver, this is one vice I can exploit without worry. read more

They are pricing their items $15, $25 and up! I think they are forgetting they are a thrift store. Also was shopping & went to checkout, the cashier that was helping me called her co worker over and took one of my items to the back. She then came back with the item that was originally $3 and said they were now $18! She had changed the price tag too with a new one saying "$18.99". That is ridiculous and not sure if she can even do that. I don't know why they were so concerned in overpricing them she was to fat to fit in them anyways. read more

I was really surprised when I walked in. The parking was packed but there didn't seem to be a lot of people inside, the store is huge with a lot of different sections. The prices are super affordable, shirts from $2 up to $4, I ended up getting like 7 items for less than $20. You should definitely check this place out, it's full of great finds read more

I went here for the first time yesterday and it was a great experience! Great prices, clean, and organized by size and color. A large variety of all different clothing and they had fitting rooms. The home goods and shoes section wasn't that large or great but I wasn't looking in that section anyways. I got some cute clothes and fabric I was satisfied and felt like I got great quality finds. We did have to wait about a minute for a parking spot to open up but the store was packed with people, so I don't think a previous post was accurate that it was taken up by employee parking. Everyone was very helpful and friendly. They keep the store extremely clean. Our cashier (Michelle?) was very friendly and helpful. This is probably my favorite thrift store, every time I go there I walk away with great stuff. I average shirts for $3-$4, and jeans/pants for $5-$10. :) The clothes selection is always great, I think they check them for wear and tear because I have only ONCE come across a shirt with a stain on it. The employees are really nice too, that and how clean the store is makes it a pleasure to come here. I am a fan of thrift stores that DON'T smell, unlike some other ones I've been too... This is exactly the kind of thrift shop I like!! The clothing was arranged in racks very neatly and there was not too much stuff on one rack. It sucks when the racks are so packed you can't even check out the clothes. Each rack was for a different item and the items were separated by size which made it very easy to shop. Most tops were like $3 which is a great deal! I bought a bunch! They have dressing rooms which is way cool. This store looked very clean and SMELLED very clean. I liked that there is plenty of space to walk around with your cart. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I will definitely be back. read more

First of all, the staff is very helpful and friendly. It's nice to shop at a place where assistance is given with a smile. I was also impressed that the clothing was arranged in a very neat and orderly manner. If you take the time, you'll find quite a bit more high-end merchandise than other thrift stores in the general area. I am from east county, and I started thrifting in south bay after finding a thrift auction in san ysidro. I LOVE this store. Its pretty big, but SO organized, and the racks are circles not long isles, so this makes looking through clothes a breeze. I found many gems here, and some deadstock items from the 80s. Well organized, good selection, some nice home items, shoes were MEH. This will definitely be a stop on my thrifting spree when I am in Chula Vista. read more

Bar none... The neatest thrift store I have ever visited. I loved that everything is separated by size and that it was so easy to find great stuff... And I found great stuff... A pair of Lucky jeans for $5 and a gorgeous Michael Korrs shirt (nwt) for $3. The dressing rooms were clean and well manned... And I watched as the courteous staff re stocked the racks. One of the better thrift stores to knab vinyl. They have a whole wall. Also, the board games and etc. aisles are long and full of fun crap!! I picked up a card deck shaped as circles.
