They only have 2 fitting rooms open later on in the evening at the front of the store. We came tonight and there were 3 ppl in both the fitting rooms w way more than 5 items. 2 girls in one dressing room and 1 girl in another. There was a line forming w 5+ppl. We waited 30 mins to get into one. We told the cashiers about the issue and both the girls working said there was nothing they could do. Way to have a policy for 5 items and not enforcing it or not caring about other customers. Very rude and waste of time. read more

I stop by the Ross off Bristol in South Coast Plaza looking for a skirt which the one in Fountain Valley did not have my size. I asked 2 employees which isle should I look for a skirts. Both of the employees did not speak English so an other customer translated. Went in tonight for the first time in almost one year. I was thrilled to see the store well stocked! Lots of new clothes, home decor, baby items and shoes!! I also found out the firing rooms are open which is great news. Every employee we came in contact with was very friendly and ready to help. I'm excited to find more new home decor next time I shop here. read more

Who doesn't like a good bargain? I always enjoy browsing through this place and every now and again, I find some decent items. When I came here 2 weeks ago, I ended up buying an Addidas sport bra (10) and also a pair of Addidas Gazelles ($38). Both very decently priced. Definitely give it a go. Never hurts to just look. It's decent: needs to be repainted, etc because it always seems a tad dirty but it's easy enough to find things & navigate the store. The people are so nice & I've always found things that I didn't need but have held up well after years of use & still bring me joy, & at a discount. You know I feel like I am not being nice by giving this place 2 stars, but I feel compelled to do so based on my overall experience at this location. I had been coming here for 4 years and I really enjoyed shopping at Ross stores when I was living in Tucson, and I thought I would find more of the same thing here. However as good as the products are at times, this location stinks IMO. For one, it's always dirty, not run down, but dirty. There is frequently an inadequate number of cashiers open which leads to long wait times. I constantly see scuff marks and footprints in the store. Next, it is perpetually understocked. I have had a much harder time finding clothes and shoes here compared to other stores, in which it was rare when I left without something. Also, they do not often have a great selection of travel luggage to choose from. It's mostly over priced designer stuff. Finally, I have purchased many things here that needed to be returned due to it being broken such as flashlights, tools, and others. Not sure why this is the case. I really like some of the products they have, and once purchased a fancy bamboo laundry basket here. But still, it needs to be better run than this. read more

I called in for a price check for a Dutch ovens available at their store (because I had been there earlier in the day and knew they had 3 or 4 on the shelf space)- the cashier said she did not know if she could do a price check because it was too busy then put me on hold. After being on hold she told me there weren't any left. I was already on my way and I told her I saw some and she proceeded to rudely say "well we don't have any". We just had a terrible experience at the Ross in Flagstaff. There was one cashier working and a huge line, that's fine, it was busy for a Monday afternoon. A woman walked up to the returns line and was about to be helped by the cashier. I intervened and suggested that the cashier help the people in line first, which he did. Great! Me and 6 other people in line were happy. Two other customers Thanked me for saying something. I completed my transaction, noticed the cashier was not interacting with me so I said "Thank you!?". The security man James snapped quite aggressively to me, PLEASE DON'T BE RUDE TO MY CASHIER!! I was befuddled. Yes, when he didn't make eye contact or engage with me when I was checking out, I did give the cashier a sarcastic, thank you. I was not rude. The security officer made a totally unnecessary scene. I went in to Ross yesterday to make a return, there was only one cashier and the register for returns had a closed sign so I stood in the return exchange line until the cashier was done with the one customer she had. I didn't think she could see me so I moved over to the purchase line when she called out she would help the return customer, by then there was one other return customer in line. When I approached her she was very rude and said she was doing returns. I told her "Ashley" that I was a return and she said you need to stand in the return line and do not move until you are called next time! She acted very irritated with having to do my return and made me feel very uncomfortable. Most of the younger people working there have no customer service skills, so sad! Ashley was not friendly at all, treated me like a child. I shop a lot at Ross and expect to be treated with respect. read more

Wow! I've always been a big fan of Ross until my experience today! I got my dog a toy that broke within 5 minutes. After looking at it, I saw that THEY USED WADDED UP SHIPPING TAPE TO FIX THE BROKEN DOG TOY then sold the broken merchandise!! Completely unacceptable and I'm glad I found The large wadded up shipping tape before my dog did!! Very upsetting read more

This is November 25, 2018, I have been shopping at the ROSS store in Flagstaff for 12 years now. I have never had a problem with an item that wasn't easily solved. I have only had a few items I had to return and it was done with no hassle. So far, every clerk I have had interaction with has been pleasant and efficient. Sometimes there is a long line but I find they move quickly with 3 register's opened. This is a deep discount store and yet I have found some really great buy's in all depts. What else can I say about Ross, except that after 2 years in someones closet their products will wind up on the racks and shelves at Savers and Goodwill, where they will finally be sold for what they're worth. First of all I have to say that I am a Ross addict! I have been to Rosses everywhere on the West coast! I especially love the ones in Las Vegas! This Ross however was a big disappointment! We started off on the wrong foot from the beginning! They advertise that they open at 8:30. We called to confirm that this was their opening time. We drove an hour and a half to get there and had to go to the bathroom really bad! First of all the store opened late! We were dying waiting for them to open! Then after they opened we ran to the restroom and the man cleaning the restroom was finished cleaning. They promptly made an announcement that the restroom and the dressing rooms were closed until 9:00!!!! We went back there and someone was standing there and told us we were not allowed to use the restroom until 9:00! It was 8:55 by then and they wouldn't allow us to use the restroom! They made another announcement at 8:55 saying they would not allow anyone in the restroom or dressing room until 9:00! They had someone there blocking the door! I couldn't believe my ears!!! We left the store and went to Safeway and came back and they did not open bathrooms or dressing rooms by 9:00!!! I cannot believe how horrible they treated their customers. They had enough staff to stand there and tell people it wasn't open, but why didn't they just let people in! Ridiculous!!! Staff was very unwelcoming and not friendly! This was on Monday June 25, 2018! If the company even cares who was working that day! Very disappointed in Ross!!!! read more

My expectations were low after reading the reviews...but my experience was nothing short of perfect. I went in looking for a shawl for a wedding and left with 2 shawls and 2 pairs of shoes. An average Ross, only that they had a missing tile in the roof that was leaking water onto us as we shopped. Really Ross? That sounds like a lawsuit in its infancy stages. Anyway after informing them about it, they put down a bucket and a caution sign. The selection was pretty varied but I wish they had a bigger housewares selection. Typical Ross. No workers to assist you, messy store & of course the long lines. Came in to see what I could find for my daughter's dorm. I was glad that I found the last of a few bathroom items but it is back to school week. It's a good alternative to B3 next door as they carry similar items for a lower cost, you just have to put up w/ the lines. read more

Terrible experience. I'd taken two chairs to the cashier, telling her I was definitely going to buy them, but wanted to look around the store longer. She and the guy greeter took the chairs, said no problem to hold them for me. Well, 20 minutes later I go to check out and... you guessed it, they sold my chairs to someone else!! They just stared at me with sheepish looks and mumbled they were sorry. No offer to in some way make up for this, or see if other stores had these chairs. They had not put a HOLD sign on the chairs, had not followed store policy to take all hold merchandise to the back dressing room until the customer was ready to check out. These people were lazy and could have cared less. I asked for the manager and told him what happened. He did give me a $25 gift card, which I appreciated. I'm glad the only Ross in this city is a real good one. Friendly staff, stocked product and my favorite, a nice selection of clearance items. This was my go to place when I first moved. I was able to prep/stock the kitchen and bathroom easily. Furniture is not easy to come by in Ross stores. The checkout lines were fast and the security guards great and smile. Thumbs up! read more

This is not your typical Ross. For starters, it is clean and well-organized. The merchandise mix is a step up from most Ross stores - more like an upscale TJMaxx. I went in expecting to find nothing and $200 dollars later walked out with a cartful of household stuff that I couldn't find anywhere else. read more
