If I could give 10 stars I would based on the employees alone. Service was awesome and my kids LOVED the girls working last night when we stopped in. They played a game with them in between customers and answered all my questions. I loved the old school shirts and quirky gift options. My kids got a kick out of the old school Pac-Man game as well. Goofy, inappropriate, Flagstaff fun! Black Hound Gallerie specializes in fun shirts, stickers, and trinkets. They are a welcome stop while you are enjoying downtown Flagstaff. They also may have the most entertaining staff of any store that I've ever been to (singing, dancing, and always having fun). They seem to only hire people with energy and who want to have fun while they are at work. For what it's worth, they are my favorite place to grab Flagstaff themed stickers and shirts. You also may find they are as good as anywhere for a unique gift for someone's next birthday. Plus they are in Old Town Shops and locally owned, so you can enjoy an afternoon of shopping and support the local economy. read more

On our rounds of Downtown, we always tend to find ourselves in Black Hound Gallerie. It is a fantastic way to kill a half hour and look at all of the nick nacks and doodads. They have such a cool array of books, clothes, and decor. This would be a great place to find gag gifts, stickers, locally branded tee shirts and take homes. The staff is some of the best retail staff they will always greet you and make you feel super welcome. They truly seem to have the best job and it shows in their attitude. This place has a lot of items that are PG-13 but my kids seem to love to play with all the toys and wind up dolls. I just steer them away from the items that may be inappropriate. Definitely make some time when you're downtown to check this place out. read more

Great little store in downtown Flagstaff that I never knew was there. It was located in a little indoor shopping plaza and we decided to head in to get out of the drizzling rain. This store is like a cross between Hot Topic, Spencers and Urban Outfitters. A lot of cute youthful clothing including comic book tees! and other accessories like owl and mustache jewelry. They had tons of gag gifts like blow up dolls, toilet mugs and hilarious pop culture items. If you are looking for lolita heart sunglasses, they have them in pink and red. I picked up some super cute sunglasses that were 2 for $10 and a lot of their jewelry that was also on sale 2 for $10. I also picked up this sweet sweet unicorn rainbow trucker hat, it will go well with the Rainbow Bright t-shirt I also picked up. If you like fun, unusual things this is the store for you. read more

This place is so fun! The employees are wonderful and they take the time to converse with you a bit. They genuinely seem to love their jobs! Van Gogh is a super sweet dude who can brighten up anyone's day :) The prices are quite reasonable, I would say a little more affordable than Hot Topic. I have gotten a couple of stickers that I absolutely love. I think they truly have something that everyone can enjoy in their shop. read more

Yikes how this place has gone DOWNHILL overtime. I used to enjoy going here, but not so much anymore. I was greeted with "hey baby how are you" I'm sorry but that is extremely inappropriate. As a customer I would rather be welcomed in with a simple greeting. Second, as an employee you shouldn't be dropping the F bomb while customers are right next to you and the building echos. I wish I got the employees name who was having this conversation because it shouldn't be tolerated. This is just sad because the owner should address all of these issues. I hope the next time, if there's a next time, I don't get greeted the way I did and the vulgar language isn't an issues. read more

Man do I have some words with this place... They scouted me to work there while I went to NAU, and I seriously wanted to because the atmosphere was absolutely amazing!! They sell a lot of weird, crazy stuff there, and I usually go in for their stickers. They have a wide variety between cute stickers and "The Office" stickers, plus they have AMAZING socks. They've got a lot of cute stuff in here, but it ended up not being somewhere I wanted to spend any of my money. The employees were rather standoffish to me, but super friendly to each other and other people in the store. The prices were also ridiculous for low quality items. I loved the stickers, but it looks like they get a lot of them from red bubble, so I could just get them cheaper from the site directly. TLDR; Fun to look around in but not worth the money and the staff wasn't very friendly towards me. read more

BlackHound is basically a really big version of a Spencer's. If you aren't familiar with a Spencer's, it's a little chain store in a lot of malls that sells t-shirts with "clever" sayings on them, a bunch of products which are essentially just sex jokes, and a bunch of novelty gags. BlackHound expands that selection to include joke signs, magnets, books, and bumper stickers. If you're over the age of 16, you probably won't find anything hilarious here. There's also a section for women's clothing. I haven't looked too closely at that, since I'm not a woman. If you're looking for some novelty gifts, stop by. Otherwise, just take a walk to anywhere else in Flagstaff. read more

This shop has the blissfully chaotic modern rock energy you didn't know you needed. They've got some really rad stickers- anything from surreal art to vine and show references to the travel aesthetic- and a lot of neat stuff (shirts, posters, signs, pins, vintage ski jackets, toys). This store was such a neat find! We were on our way to Diablo burger after we went to the Grand Canyon. I made my boyfriend go in because they had a whole display of owl necklaces in the window. This place is great for gag gifts. If I'm hanging out with someone who's visiting Flagstaff for the first time, I'll almost always bring them here and we'll spend half an hour or so wandering around, giggling at all of the quirky things they have for sale. The staff working in here are always really hilarious. I don't think I've ever seen the same person twice, but whoever's manning the store whenever I drop in is always upbeat, funny and helpful. I can't necessarily say I'd buy anything in here for myself, but I don't think that's really the point of the store in the first place. read more

My family was up this weekend and we went in this store, we all looked at the stickers did not find anything we needed so we left and went to three different stores. About 30-40 minutes later we were leaving Babbitts and this lady approached my family asking my sisters boyfriend to empty his pockets. She was a working at the Black Hound Gallerie; she accused him of stealing a stick because he " picked one up and left" he and my sister had nothing in there pockets but free stickers from the basement. This lady should be ashamed of her self I understand if she saw them and stopped them right when they left but 40 minutes later after we had been to multiple different stores that is harassment not being a concern worker. read more

Shops like this don't show up everyday, and this one can keep me entertained for at least and hour! They carry a little bit of everything here, lots of it you might not have ever seen before. Their magnet collection alone is good for lots of laughs, and several have made it home to my refrigerator. The people that work here have a lot of fun, but still get the job done. They are helpful when you need it, then go away and let you browse. My favorite find was the WTF ice scraper. What a great little store, with a fantastic sale rack to boot. I first popped into this store back in June after having lunch at Mix. I am addicted to accessories, and black hound beckoned me in with a whole wall. Upon further inspection this entire wall was 2 for $10. What a deal. Since my first visit I have been back several times, and will stop by every time I am in town. I saw tons of potential Christmas presents for friends and family that won't drain my pocket book.
