I usually find more things that I like at Marshall's but it's basically the same thing - I think they might even have the same ownership group now because the stores are pretty similar and have the same kind of theme, and a lot of the same kinds of things. The prices here are really good, very similar to a Marshals. The store was stocked neatly. The downside was that the lines here were sooo long. Things just seemed sluggish employee-wise. They carry a lot of normal wear, with some premium labels as well. I went looking for Ralph Lauren for a gift, and found a few pieces, just not near enough for me to be satisfied. The one thing that could be improved upon internally is to color-code the men's sizes. I needed to buy a shirt for hubby, and the large , medium, x-large all had the same color size indicator. The manager thought it was OK as well very unprofessional the store is dirty and the cashiers have I don't give a fuck attitude. Purchased some furniture here and not only did they refuse to hold the item so that you can get a car to fit the item but they also refuse to help you load it! I still love this place :) Now that I live in the Heights, this location is just a hop, skip, and jump away:) I stopped in the other day, "looking" for a dress and left with 3 and a pair of Nine West heels - too darn cute and spent a mere $70. This is still one of my fave places to bargain shop. A few weeks ago, I also bought a pair of awesome looking Ray-Bans for $19.99. I like Ross better than Marshalls or TJ Maxx. This is a great place to pick up clothes for the kids, accessories for me, organizers for the house, cute things for the dog and decor. They have a pretty big shoe collection but it is usually very unorganized so I don't venture that way unless I have a lot of time and patience. I enjoy shopping in the home and decor section. Ross is usually hit or miss for me. With that said, this location is usually on target with good finds. They have some of the best brands when it comes to shoes...Steve Madden, Jessica Simpson, Coach, Nine West, Guess....I've even been lucky enough to find Harajuku Lovers tennies here. They also have a pretty broad selection of jewelry - Juicy Couture, Guess, Betsy Johnson. My only real complaint about this store is the customers that frequent it. I've been to this store when it first opens, so I know that the employees keep it clean. I will never understand why people have to throw shoes all over the store when they're done trying them on. I worked at a shoe store in college, so I'm totally OCD about this. In fact, I've even avoided the shoe section for this very reason. Most days, customer service is courteous & friendly. Today, the manager should remind the staff to always greet customers at the register and to treat them with respect. Never have I approached a register, said "hi, how are you?" and not been given the same courtesy. I had to raise my voice as if speaking to a child and ask "You doing ok?" because then I assumed the girl wasn't. If you're bigoted or racist, maybe you should not work retail? I shop here often, almost weekly so I see it's pretty clean, well stocked, organized and busy. It's Ross! But be nice....world needs more friendly faces! read more

This Ross is realllllly nice. I totally didn't expect it. I thought it was in an odd place for a Ross and that maybe it would be weird inside. But, nope. It's clean, like, sparkling white clean. The racks are well organized, the dressing rooms are nice, the cashiers are friendly. The parking lot is really big and easy to find spots in. The lines weren't really long or bad. I even returned something in less than 5 minutes. I got a really cute New Years dress that was fancier than anyone elses for less than all my friends paid (it was only $18.99)! Parking is not an issue at this location. My shopping experience was horrible from the moment I walked in to checkout. I was not greeted as I entered. This Ross is unorganized and short staffed. The junior clothing is limited here. Great selection on designer clothing and women shoes at this location. You will Tommy Hilfiger, Michael Kois, Guess, BCGC AND MANY MORE DESIGNERS. I did not see associates on the sales floor to help me find a gift for a friend. You do have to get in line to see jewelry. The restroom was dirty on my visit. It smelled like sewer. Ugh gross. The lady from their loss prevention dept just moved the chair where I was resting my injured arm on without even asking me if it was ok if she moved it. If she had asked I would have been happy to move it first even though it is my arm where I have my dialysis done and it is my weak arm and need to elevate it from time to time for better circularion. She just came and moved the chair while my arm was resting on it. I really want to file a complaint. read more

I'm a huge ROSS fan, but this is my least favorite location.... Ever. Not only is the store usually extremely messy and unorganized, but the staff never ceases to be rude and unhelpful. The only kind person I have encountered that worked here was the older lady that works the fitting rooms, she is always so sweet and greets everyone with a smile. The cashiers are always rude and before you can even grab your bags, receipt, and put your wallet away; they are calling the next customer and make you feel rushed. I guess it is understandable though, considering that they always only have a maximum of two cash registers open and a mile long line. This store needs a makeover starting with the rude and sassy management. :( They need to be retrained especially with dealing with customers and their is a professional way to speak to your customers. My mother and I were there the other night and noticed the store appearance has gone downhill big time. This store is a horrible hot mess especially with the sizing of the shoes and Junior along with the Misses Apparel. Ugh, extremely frustrating. The manager on duty on August 4th at this location, April, is the least helpful individual I have encountered as a customer. I purchased several items from this location in different sizes to return/exchange at a later date. When I visited the store several days later and returned some items without a hitch. Several days after that, I returned to the store to exchange some more items. I wasn't give the receipt back after the previous return and explained that to April. Their policy is that returns and exchanges without a receipt are only given the current sale price of the item (which is much less than what I purchased it for). Even though it was the fault of their employee that I was not given the receipt back, I was shorted the difference between my purchase price and the current price. April was unsympathetic to my situation and refused to give me the purchase price as credit to my new purchase. April undoubtedly had the power to do the right thing and failed to do so. Hopefully Ross will take action to resolve this matter. read more

I just had THE WORST experience at this store. I've never had a "great" experience at Ross, but this was THE WORST experience I have had anywhere! I went in to buy a yoga mat for my client, when I got in line I was 3rd. There was one checker only taking debit and credit and other taking cash AND returns. I was paying cash. There was a Loss Prevention person just standing around in front. By the time I was the next person, the checker taking cash took the next person in line for a return. So, I'm standing there for about 10 minutes while someone returns 5 items. Meanwhile the line is growing longer, it's about 10 people deep now. No one is calling for more checkers. An elderly man walks up and does not want to get in line so he gets behind the person making a return. I say to him nicely, "Sir, the line is back here." He starts to yell at me. I say to the checker, "Can someone please tell this man the line is back there?" He yells at me some more and the CUSTOMER making the 5 item return says,"Oh, just let him go next he only has a pair of socks." Workers are saying NOTHING. At that point, I was done. I leave my yoga mat and walk out. UN-BELIEVABLE! I am not entering another Ross Dress for Less ever again. These people are worried about theft prevention and they can't service the customers they have! Don't go there, they don't have their priorities straight. FAIL!! read more

Emely the assistant manager is completely unprofessional and a liar . I should have looked at the reviews prior to coming here . I bought an item that was scratched and dented in several places and chipped where the top decoration and shells were gone that was at least two inches in diameter . The normal discounts are up to 20% but with manager approval more with damage this severe . The woman was tacky and said " I work here and I don't get more than 20 % if you don't want it don't buy it . That's Ross policy we don't do more than 20%" I know for a fact that's a lie . Also What has her employee discount got to do with a severely damaged item ? I will NEVER come to this ghetto store again ! She's unprofessional and is a bad example of how you treat a customer. I called two other Ross that did say with manager approval more could have been taken off . She seemed to have a problem with me upon arrival .
