I went in to see if they have a Dove shampoo and conditioner. They have them alright but not the size that I was looking for. And the price is pretty high compared to the one that I was looking for. So I declined to get it. They have a quiet selection of other hair products but none fancy my style so I didn't get anything. I moved around and checked out the products. Plentiful of selection as well as clearance items are available but I decided not to buy anything because I saw the line. It's not even 11am on a weekday and the line was so long. How much more on the weekends? There were 3 registers open but the line wasn't going fast. It would have been nice for the 2 employees stocking up to have stopped and helped out. I can't believe this place. As a last resort for a pair of jeans I ended up here. The store is filthy, and I don't mean new clothes thrown on shoe racks (it's always messy) but food and drinks on the floor, in the isle, trash overflowing the bathroom,fitting room area and checkout. The women who work there are no better. Anyhow I found two pairs of jeans tried them on and decided to get them both. I was in stall number one and there were two ladies in the stalls directly next to me. Talking away about pants they had "grabbed" . At 9; 9:55 I waited in the long line surrounded by mountains of messes looking for my wallet and got a paper cut, so I asked the loss prevention woman is they had a bandaid. She looked at me confused as if she had no idea what Bandaids were. I repeated it again and with an attitude from hell she made her way to get one. I got back in line paid for the pants and behind me was the fitting room girl talking to the loss prevention person.as I walk toward her and hand her my receipt she snatches it looks at it and refused to give it back to me and said what about the pants your wearing ? I was beyond appalled. It is 45 degree outside and yeah I have two pants on AS WELL AS two Shirts and two pairs of socks. As she reads my receipt though she just watched me make the purchase she studied my receipt and looked at me and said oh Really? And yeah really you wanna see them? She said oh well that doesn't seem to add up? I said what exactly does not add up? She just stared at me for a good 90 or more seconds, so I stood there like as much as I'd like to do this staring bs, I have work tomorrow and she starts acting more confrontational. With closed hands stepping forward "well I am at work RIGHT NOW!" I took a step back and asked for her name she then hands my receipt back. I couldn't believe what had just happened and truthfully I don't want the jeans anymore. I have never been treated this way before in my life. They need new management, training and guidance. i asked if I could leave my bike to the side by the shopping carts since they do not have a place for bikes outside, the manager margarita told me no we don't allow bikes inside. its one thing to not allow it while shopping which I completely understand, but to not even consider allowing a paying customer to lock it up by the shopping carts, which is basically empty, feels kinda like discrimination against bike riders lol. I'm sure if an employee had a bike thats not a problem of course. Its a little discouraging that their isn't a bike rack in this shopping center. read more

I was there for a return, just trying to understand why I only received ** dollars. I was genuinely confused, so I came back to ask again. I made sure not to cut in line, and I understood that the cashier was busy. But instead of a simple explanation, she snapped at me, saying, "Well, you have to wait in line because I'm busy" in a really condescending tone, and very annoyed facial expression. Naturally, I replied, "Yes, of course," but inside, I felt frustrated. It's just rude! I ended up looking it up myself to figure out why I only got that amount. Turns out, she was technically correct, but her attitude made me feel like I was being stupid for asking. All I wanted was a little clarity, and instead, I was met with disrespect. It's disappointing when someone makes you feel small for seeking help, especially when you're trying to be patient and understanding. No one deserves to be treated that way, and I hope for better experiences in the future. This is not the only time we were treated like this, even before. We just let it go, but this has to stop. When you take your frustrations out on clients, you're not just affecting their experience; you're tarnishing the very reputation of your workplace. And though quite crowded with the line for checkout backing up considerably, I fortunately entered just before it got ridiculously so. I've been to this store previously and although it has never been a huge issue, I did find unforgivable problems on my last visit. #1 I was making a large purchase involving my restroom so my cart was generally full. As I spent time looking at items for the shower I could not help but notice LOSS PREVENTION continuously hovering around me. Granted, I wasn't the best dressed that day given my mini-remodeling but still. What were they expecting me to do?!?! I was clearly in an open space and grabbing, comparing, and setting items aside in their place. #2 As I was placing said items on the small counter, LOSS PREVENTION stood right beside me. I'm fairly a small individual so having a large male tower next to me is a bit out of my comfort zone. Not sure what they were expecting there as well, as I clearly provided all the items in the cart (a cart that cannot even exit the store due to the high rod, which is a major hassle if you're carrying more than 5 heavy bags of PURCHASED items). #3 This one has bothered me the most. Almost every time I'm there, there's always some sort of 3rd-party interaction with this 1 specific employee who appears to order everyone around and make unnecessary comments about employees/customers. Initially i had presumed that she had a long day of dealing with all sorts of characters etc etc etc but after a while I simply noticed that it's just her. I am not sure of her position but the way she speaks to people in general is very condescending and extremely rude. Off putting. I had the unfortunate pleasure of dealing with her directly this past time and it was absolutely dreadful. Atrocious. You'd think Loss Prevention following me around would cause me to drop everything then and there, simply walk out but no, her attitude is what tipped the balance. If it wasn't for the fact that I was already tired and placed so much thought into my purchase I would have left it all at the counter. Since it never directly involved me, i paid no mind to her name, but I was able to glance at her tag this time which seemed to have scratched off/missing letters. Her name, Joana, I believe. Blonde. Avoid her if you can help it since the company deems her lack of customer service or attitude "professional". Inevitably Ross has lost my business due to the accumulation of events. Simply put, I don't mind driving to Palmdale's HOME GOODS if it means I get treated properly. At least there, I've never been followed around, like a criminal, or spoken to like an idiot. read more

I went in to pick up a couple cheap pet items. Patiently waited in line while the employees were chatting it up. Finally the next one in line(!), then these other customers were called up in front of me. When I finally check out, I say hello and the employee ignores me. Looking in another direction, she tells me the total. I didn't hear her, so I asked what it was. She repeated it, again looking in another direction. When I left I said Have a Nice Day. Again, standoffish. This is the third time I've been in this store and the 2nd time I've dealt with this individual. I don't know her personally. I have to say this seems racist. She didn't even look at me, just told me yes they're in the fitting room but closed. While still walking away from me. She was the store manager, I didn't catch her name because she kept walking while answering my question. This store is so we'll stoked every time I go. The people are so nice and will try to help you find anything you can possibly want from Ross. They also have very spacious dressing rooms that allowed me to try lots of outfits on. The only bad part is how dirty the store is. Have been to other ross and they are definitely cleaner and bigger. Security is good and makes you feel safe but could get a bit annoying because they are literally watching you and walking by you a lot of the times. Not the best place to shop but you will find a lot of cheap stuff. read more

I shop here all the time. It's near my home and it's much better stocked than the Palmdale store. But my disappointment was that I made an impulse buy on a Monday evening and spent more than I usually do. I realized when walking out I should have came the next day to get my senior Tuesday discount. I thought no problem I'd just go back the next morning and do a return and RE-purchase. Wow was I surprised that the floor manager refused to let me re-purchase. It totaled $82.00. So I told the lady at the counter (who was really sweet to me) that rule was silly and just refund it all. And I left with a smile on my face. I didn't really need those two extra purses anyway. I went back later during the day and repurchased the baby gifts only with my discount. read more

I feel like I just won the lottery! I just found 3 summer dresses, each under $10. Found? More like FINALLY found, as in I had to hunt and pick my way through all kinds of boring junk to find my little treasures. They say you appreciate things more when you have to work for them, and I do have that feeling of victorious exultation that I usually get after a particularly excruciating bout of searching for Waldo. The lines were long, but the cashiers kept things moving along rather efficiently and I had plenty of time to make friends with the lady behind me in line. Her husband is coming home from a long trip and suggested she pick up some lingerie ;). She was picking up some new Ralph Lauren kingsized sheets (600 count) with the money she saved by going to Ross instead of the mall. Ross Stores sells fashion forward and classic clothing for men, women and children. It also sells jewelry, shoes, and housewares galore. This store always has what I'm looking for. Went last Saturday night at 10 pm it was awesome. Shelves were stocked no shoppers we had the store to ourselves. The store is clean and packed with items. My only complaint is they don't allow their shopping carts outside of the store which means I either have to limit my purchases or have someone with me to cart out items. It appears the workers including security, are not allowed to help booo So that sucks. But it's still one of my favorite stores employees are pretty great too. read more

The reason why I gave them a "3" I needed to try on several pairs of shoes when I walked over to the area that was designated to sit down and try on shoes I notice that there were only a few people trying on shoes and the rest of the other customers were using the area for a rest area there was nowhere to sit and try on shoes I saw a security person who was dress in all black and he came over where I was standing I explain to him that I had no where to sit and try on shoes so then he look at me and then pass my head and said "I" will go get you a chair and he proceeded to go towards the back of the store so while waiting for him to come back I had notice someone getting up to leave the shoe area I was then able to sit " 3 " ..... read more

My family likes to shop here a lot but lately when we enter the store one of the security guards will follow us around while we shop. The last time we went in one of the guards actually began searching the area around my Moms cart as if she was trying to steal something. When my Mom noticed it she asked if they wanted to search our stuff. He replied with, someone already did that. Talking to a store manager was just as bad because she said that it's now apart of training to be treated like that. Which I don't believe. No one should enter a store and feel racially profiled and be followed around a store. It upsets me and is even more disappointing that a group of people can do that and attempt to justify it. I come to this Ross all the time, but this last visit was not good at all. My baby of 4 months had to be changed and the rest room with the changing table was out of order. I asked if I could please just use the table but he said I couldn't. Then I asked well could I please use the benches in the dressing room? Again he said no because of the lingering smell. My baby doesn't even have smelly diapers? But there was no sorry for the inconvenience. No sorry I would if I could he was just rude about the whole thing. Best deals anywhere. Clothes, shoes, home décor. Is what I have bought. Only had a problem once they did not want to accept by dollar coins as payment and I said it was money and even after speaking to a manager they still did not accept it. But I still will not lose out on great deals because some young ignorant store employees think they are the government and tell me what money I can and can not use. Had someone at a gas station recently tell me not all of those only some I am about to get off work and I do not want to deal with those. They swear I am paying with pennies. The shoes I was getting for my daughter had a sticker that said 1.99. When I took it to the counter she scanned the sticker but then cancelled it and rang up 15 I asked why. Under the shoe in sharpie there was a number 15 written on it. I was upset and went back to look at the other shoes and no other shoes had anything written under them with sharpie, they all had stickers. Very disappointed that they did not honor the price of the sticker that was in the shoe. read more

I am not a big fan of this particular location for a couple of reasons, it's much smaller than most other Ross locations, more times than not, it isn't clean, and the since this location is smaller, it means they have a smaller selection. But since I love to eat at the Big Tuna in Lancaster, this Ross is more conveniently located and therefore, I end up shopping at this one instead of the Palmdale one. Having read a couple of other reviews for this Ross, there is one thing I do NOT agree with: the 'unfriendly' staff; I find the staff here very friendly and very helpful. read more
