I love Ross. The employees are always really nice. I always find something I like that's affordable. I even found Jordans in a women's size 12, which is super hard to find without spending a lot. The shoe section always has good finds with designer shoes at great prices. It's just not good for my bank account but I'll definitely keep going back. read more

RJ Sirr he said this was his name and also a store manager was very rude. Had no customer service skills. I brought a tanning lotion. Of course I did not keep the receipt. What could be wrong with the tanning lotion as I told him except the lid, would not close in oil went all over my towels my bag ruined many things. Came here on a whim for possible last minute Christmas gifts. This store is similar to "Marshalls" and/or "TJ Max" in that there is a wide assortment of items that you can get from this store from Women's/Men's/Children's clothing to perfumes, toys and household items. Additionally, there is a lingerie and shoe section located within this store. In terms of my personal taste, I wasn't really a big fan of this store. There are items scattered all over the place, shoes on the floor, make up items all on the floor; many items misplaced. Granted, it is the holiday season on a Saturday which is probably the reason why the store is in such a disarray however, this is not a store that I would generally come to in the condition that it was in. Decent location to stop in. The staff and store manager is usually professional. There's a new Manager on Duty and he is not personable. The store wasn't that busy and I stood in line behind a woman for a return. Usually there's more purchases to be made than returns. I told the woman ahead that we're next before anyone else in the purchase line. So came by turn, the MOD guy pretty much said next with a carefree look like whatever and was reminded of the store policy without a receipt which were housewarming gifts. One being a clocked that did not work. A full priced store credit was not given and he probably placed the item back on the floor from his attitude. Came here because I was in the area and wanted to get a few things. The parking lot is easy to get to. My only issue with this place is that they were pretty busy with only 1 cashier!! I also hate how they have two separate lines-one for purchases and one for returns and still only one cashier. So it doesn't matter if you were first in line or not and it doesn't matter which line you go to. They go back and forth between each of them. So annoying. read more

Horrid! Supervisor there is a witch. I tried to return some faulty rain boots. I no longer had the receipt since I did not think I would have to return them, I asked for store credit. The supervisor told me they could not take them back due to the fact they could not re sell them and I had worn them. WTAF!! Of course I had worn them to know they leak and they cannot re sell them as THEY LEAK!!! She was rude, so I asked for a manager. I watched her go get one and of course fill her in prior to walking over to me. I was met with the same terrible customer service. I only wanted store credit since they no longer had those boots. I have spent thousands in this store over the years - they knew by my ID I have zero history of returning things and was a loyal customer and yet they treated me poorly. I purchased 7 items out of which two of them were clogs. I noticed the cashier scanning the second clog again and charging me for three clogs. I checked right there and and confirmed so in the receipt. When i politely told the cashier that there could be a mistake and i was accidentally charged thrice for two clogs, she dint agree and proceeded to justify that some other item is showing up as Clogs in the receipt. She took all items and started marking the items the receipt to prove herself. I told them the receipt shows 8 items as sold, but i am missing one item and have only 7 items. Then she agreed and refunded. Weird, but better be careful at this stores. read more

Ross reminds me of that game you played as a kid, needle in the haystack. I stop in just about every couple of weeks and I'll find some really great deals. Working in uptown Charlotte every day can take some $ out of your wardrobe budget. Ross has some killer deals on business suits! I used to really like this store. It used to have a great selection of items. From outfits to in-home decoration to electronics. But now the store is always empty. And with very little selection it's hard to find things to buy. And a very few times that I do find things to buy... the checkout line is ridiculously long. Ross Dress for Less is the retail closeout and overstock Mecca in my humble opinion. Yea, there is TJ Maxx and Marshalls, but Ross has the lowest prices. They are located in the Windsor shopping center, near the Ross and Outback. Unlike TJMaxx that pretends to be a department store, Ross is a no-frills place to get name-brand clothes. The selection is somewhat less, but the quality and prices are better. You'll spend less time sorting through what you don't want at Ross. I have snagged some quality Calvin Klein and Levi's Jeans for less than $15 and collared shirts for less than $10. The men's shoe section has alot of trendy casual shoes and athletic shoes. The store itself tends toward casual, but the dress shirts, slack, and ties aren't a laughing matter. I would highly recommend that you go during the week or early mornings on the weekend. Otherwise, you will inundated with other shoppers and their kids. There are normally long lines at the cash register, but the staff is generally friendly and competent. This is random, but I need to insert it somewhere-they have an awesome kitchen utensil/appliance section. Not a lot of electronics, but if you want to impress your significant other with an Italian stove-top espresso maker or equip a kitchen with culinary-quality cooking utensils, this is your stop! read more

What began as a wondrous journey through the shining halls of Ross quickly turned into a trip through the fiery gates of hell. Being a man made it already difficult to walk through this "chick" store. I found a soccer ball to possibly lighten my already grumpy attitude towards this establishment. I greatly enjoyed my time with this soccer ball as I swiftly and elegantly dribbled through the aisles. Flawlessly I touched nothing in the store and was not even close to breaking anything. And then came Paul. The classic Debby Downer who sees people having fun and just won't have it. He told me that there was none of that in this store. I gave him a Puss in Boots-like look in hopes that he would give me my ball back but he never did. Do not attend this Ross if you're looking for a good time to test out products. read more
