Currently, they are focusing on bringing in lines that are thoughtful, unique and socially responsible. Here are two of my favs: 1) ORGANIC by John Patrick- You'll see his pieces in the NY Times Style Magazine, Bazaar, and Vogue. Poole shop spent six months collaborating on an exclusive capsule collection for pre-fall 2011! Maxx is in the same plaza as Home Depot and Firehouse Subs with plenty of parking…read more During my visit to Charlotte, my husband and I, along with our little girl dog, ended up coming to this plaza to return something to Home Depot (yes both Home Depot & T.J. Maxx are dog friendly stores). Afterwards, I decided that I just wanted to pop into T.J. Maxx just to browse (which is dangerous for the wallet by the way because you never know what you may end up walking out with). Well we headed over to the luggage area, which is on the left hand side when you first walk into the store. I saw the cutest Hello Kitty (hard shell) carry on luggage and knew I had to get it (lol). This Hello Kitty looked rather sporty and the bonus with this luggage was that it came with a small duffle bag, 3 piece packing cube set and a Hello Kitty head luggage ID tag. The original price was marked as $100 (which seems to be the going price if you look on Amazon, that hard shell carry one Hello Kitty luggage is about $100) but was on clearance for $59 (prior to tax). So I ended up purchasing this cute set (lucky for me that I was flying home on Southwest where you are allowed 2 check in bags for free, so I didn't have to pay extra to bring this back with me). The employee who rang me up was friendly. She smiled when she saw our little girl dog and also complemented me on the Hello Kitty luggage find too. But with T.J. Maxx and similar stores, you may not always find those hidden gems on the first visit, but over several visits. But I think that is what makes shopping at T.J. Maxx (and similar stores) all the more fun. If I lived in this area, I would most definitely be a regular.

Both Elma and Cheryl directed me to new scents that are similar. These two women appear to like to work and really know their department. I went to Macys, Dillards, and Neiman Marcus first. Nordstroms has the best workers. I did not do any price comparisons but Cheryl and Elma made my experience so fun, pleasant, and time efficient that I am definitely going back. They were coming up with ways to help me remember the different scents. It is important for a woman to experience the scent on her skin a few hours later.

I want to personally thank the Assistant Store Manager, Ms. Paige Logan, for being so polite, helpful, and accommodating. Thank you for being so enthusiastic and having a great attitude. I was able to leave with a great belt and an amazing button-down shirt that I know will get some attention. I plan to come back after this upcoming event, which I was shopping for, and spend some time putting together a small wardrobe of essentials. They turned red and then wanted to ask if I needed help. ARE YOU SERIOUS?! They didn't have the Rouge 39, but Chris was very helpful and friendly at checkout. I spent almost $300 on a purse, perfume and wristlet. Chris apologized for the experience and said they don't profile. However, I beg to differ. I'm giving two stars for Chris and her customer service. Otherwise, it would have been zero stars if I could.
