This is a low end discount store, why is it then that a security guard needs to greet you when you walk in the door? Unsettling for sure. Every department is in disarray it's very time consuming to look through everything. Dressing rooms are falling apart. Needs maintenance for sure. Not great. I typically am not a fan of Ross, but sometimes you get lucky and they have this or that in a pinch that you couldn't find somewhere else. The clothes here are cheap an not well made, I don't usually buy them. Thumbing through, I didn't see much of a selection - same with shoes and housewares, no great finds. This store is really messy and disorganized, even some of the shelving is crooked. I don't want to bother spending much time looking around here, it just stresses me out and makes me want to leave. There are clothes and shoes strewn everywhere. The dressing room area looks dirty (I didn't dare wander into the bathroom). There is always a line here, and to make it as frustrating as possible, they cattle-car you into this line/maze made of low shelving with even more crap in them - it's impossible to find where this line starts, and a pain in the ass the climb over, squeeze past, and wade through all the people and crap blocking your access to it. The staff here doesn't have the best customer service, but I will say I bet it's because they are pretty unhappy at work and might be a little more willing to look more cheerful and do a better job if the management of this store was better. Ultimately I found what I was looking for - a cheap pair of Christmas socks. read more

It's pretty much been covered in my past reviews, but I do need to add (and by that I mean subtract) this one: It was 2:30 on a Tuesday afternoon, and there were no less than 10 people in line in front of me. Two cashiers doing their very best, but it still leads to a painful wait in line. Honestly. If it's this bad during the mid-afternoon on a weekday, you can only imagine how terrible the wait can be on Saturdays. Don't get me started on holidays. I do enjoy dressing for less. This Ross Store is sliding downhill without snow. I went to return something I bought as a Christmas Gift. I don't know about you but I cut off the price tag before I give a gift. The acting manager would not even give me store credit despite me finding the exact belt in the store. I was beyond furious at this point. I shall also note I used to shop here often. No more I drove to the Draper store they refunded my money without me asking and the fabulous customer service is worth it. The store is much cleaner too. I've liked other Ross locations in the past, but I have not been impressed by this one the couple times I've visited. If you're looking to buy discounted clothing TX Maxx or Marshalls have a far better selection, and much nicer brands. This location seems kind of grubby. Customer service was fine, but nothing outstanding, and on a Saturday the line was slow, with a wait to check out of about ten minutes. I just really didn't find anything to interest me in going back, and I don't think I will. read more

I find myself in the middle of a mighty jungle....of clothes racks. With weapon (credit card) in hand I slink carefully between the rows. From the corner of my eye, I see it! The color is perfect, there's someone else coming! Quick! Attack! Nope, it's totally wrong. OK, back to the hunt. I have to give this place 4 stars because I love their deals. Especially if you're willing to take the time to 'hunt'. There are clothes, home decor, kitchen supplies, art, some furniture, and the SHOES, at very reasonable, and often outstanding prices. Frequently it's just fantastic. And sometimes, just as with any hunting trip, sometimes it's a bust. I have to complement them on recent increased efforts to keep the isles and racks tidy. All of the hunting causes a bit of chaos. The shoe department especially can be less like a jungle expedition and more like a zoo. Be prepared to grab and stake claim on any promising prospects if you go at a busy time of day. And one huge warning, if you are going at Christmas time, plan to spend some time in line. Or even better, plan to bring someone along to wait in the line while you shop. Then, when you're ready you might be near the front. The lines tend to move very slowly, which causes them to get very long. So grab your camo and take a trip! With the right preparation and equipment, you may bag an awesome deal. read more

Today was my first time visiting Ross Dress For Less and I was mostly disappointed. They have very little in the men's department and even less that was in my size. They had LOTS to choose from in the women's and kid's department so it might be a great place to shop for that clothing. They also have a lot of home goods and accessories. Some of the kitchen stuff seemed pretty good, nice looking pots and pans and utensils. I ended up buying some kitchen towels which I plan to use for pottery class. The price for the towels was right and I liked the colors. At checkout we waited over 10 minutes because they only had two cashiers. This surprised me because they had one employee just standing up-front greeting people who could have easily jumped on a register and helped out. I'm giving Ross 3 stars because I think I might find more clothes in my size on a return visit and found the store A-OK for the most part. read more

If I could give zero I would. Not only does this place look like a freaking bomb went off, but the staff acts like they are trapped in the store, and have no way to escape. They were so rude, that it must be a resume skill they look for when hiring. As we were checking out we put things on the counter and held the rest as not to make a massive pile, and the girl at the register, Maria, just held out her hand with out a word. Then about ten seconds later said, "I need those". Well yeah, but have you heard of customer service? There's better ways to say it. I have never bought clothes here because everything seems Plus-size! Maybe it's me but I think the smallest thing I have ever seen there is a size 8. Besides that, I like the shoes and home stuff. Prices are cheap, much cheaper than TJ Maxx but you don't get the brands either. Lines can be long and customer service is lacking as in non-existent. Overall, you have to be in the mood to shop here. read more

Eh, I usually love Ross and all that it stands for, but this particular location is just so-so. It isn't the cleanest, the staff isn't too friendly, and the selection is decent, but I never leave feeling like I've hit some jackpot like I do when I go to other Ross's or similar stores. Messy store so you have to look carefully for items. Most of the employees are friendly, but it seems there are always lines. My favorite thing here are their gift bags for only $1 each. I stock up several times a year. Love their designer purses and can sometimes find nice shoes. They don't let you take their carts out of the store so expect to carry everything, even large heavy items. Crazy. read more

Should be called "Ross get murdered for less" The store is completely trashed and strange people loiter inside and outside of the store. I ran in because I heard they had maternity clothes. I bought a pair of pants for $15 (a bargain) but ended up waiting in line for 30 minutes because there was only 1 cashier doing sales and returns. After all of that I wore my pants once & they turned my legs blue- then fell apart after washing. Save your time and money and just wear your husbands gym shorts. It's far less humiliating than going to this Ross and then staining your legs/hands blue. read more

This place is probably the better of the two Ross stores I've been to (the other was in SLC/Sugarhouse). I haven't been to the ones down south so I'll have to check them out. But what i like about this place is it's got the selections you can't find at the other store, more variety and is just a bit larger so it can hold the variety and inventory. The dressing room attendant seemed nice (typically they're super grouchy standing there all day) but I had a pleasant experience. The line moved relatively well but given it was a weekday. Would go back there vs to the other one. read more

This Ross has a very good selection. Usually fairly neat and well stocked. There's not an overbearing presence of security like a lot of the Ross's in less desirable locations. This would be my favorite of the SLC locations. Obviously not as great as the Downtown Denver store.... But how can you honestly compare anything in SLC to Denver? read more

If I could give a zero star review, I would. Just stood in line for over 25 minutes to buy 3 items. There was one employee at regular checkout, and one employee at returns. Three other employees just sat and talked at the front of the store. There were people lined up through the entire queue. All of us were looking at each other like "what the hell?" When I finally made it to checkout, I told the woman at returns that they probably needed more checkers, because people had been waiting a LONG time. She just looked at me and did nothing. Also, no "have a good day" or any sort of smile. Zero customer service. Go to Nordstrom Rack or the location in Millcreek! This place is TERRIBLE. read more

What a JOKE! I went in for a pair of jeans and a polo shirt, They had one pair of jeans in my size, and that is a common size too. But the jeans had holes on both pair of knees!!! LOL! This is the 2nd time in a row that I have come to this Ross and had horrible Customer Service. I do hair and am a food waitress at night...I realize the utmost part of any experience is Customer Service. Not only were we not acknowledged or any kind of eye contact made, our cashier was talking to another employee and laughing about something else while ringing our purchase up. The kicker, she was the front end Manager!!! Who does the hiring here??? Who ever hired this girl to be a manager maybe should take a bit more time, considering the importance of this position. read more

The absolute worst experience today. I saw four people in the store, two employees and two security guards. I needed to return a shirt, that had a rip in it, that I didn't notice when I bought it. I stood in the return line and waited and waited and waited, I finally asked the Security guard if there was a cashier for the return line and he explained that the cashier, #398961, was the only one checking people out and was also doing the returns and I had to wait until she was through checking everyone out that was purchasing items. There were six to seven people in that line. Finally, the cashier started yelling "returns, returns, returns" and I looked around to see if another cashier was coming to help the people in the return line. There wasn't, she was talking to me, she didn't say " I can help you now, " nothing that would lead me to believe she was talking to me and then she made a face at me. The security guard was kinder and more respectful to me than the Cashier. Don't know where this store gets their employees, but they are unbelievably rude. And, that's not to mention the terribly long lines at Ross, one or two Cashiers for a line that has at least twenty people in it. There are so many other options and places to shop at, this Ross store has lost my business. read more
