What a wonderful place. One of my favorite things about this chain is there is always something new. They've got great home stuff in the back, new spices and bottled stuff always coming in, and if you pick through racks - nice bags, accessories, delicious soaps, perfumes, high quality shampoo and conditioner, great clothing finds, and omg the shoes... hit or miss, but sometimes you find a pair that just grabs you. This Maxx has a bit more designer stuff than I've found at other locations, which makes this place even more dangerous and irresistible. If this TJM was a big sticky spiderweb, I'd be the big, dumb juicy bug tangled up in it using my dying breath to squeak out "please take my money, and hey, can I get this bag unlocked?" This location is always crowded. Everyone else seems to know how good it is, too. I struggle to find parking every time I visit. Worth it. But also TJM - I have a bone to pick with you - PLEASE STOP pushing your store credit card on me. This does not improve your customer service when some poor cashier that's working an exhausting holiday shift gives me some 2 minute speech about how great this thing is and I've just got to stand there with hopefully what looks like a smile on my face and pray they'll stop hounding me. The power of this location is the shopping around it or nearby- big Target (Ft Union), Trader Joe's a state liquor store, In and Out. All these spots are about 3 mins in a car or less. read more

I'm not a big clothes shopper. I just like clothes that fit well and look good. Brand names, not a big deal. This store does well to offer brand name clothes, but with a hitch - something's wrong with them. Either they just don't fit normally, or have some strange manufacturing fault. I would just recommend trying on whatever you plan on buying. The reason I like this place is because of the gifts. You can find reasonable prices for gifts to all friends and family members. I've literally gone in here and came out with full gift baskets of unique and special gifts. That's the real reason to come here. And don't be afraid to just say no, when they ask you at the register if you want a credit card. I already donated to charities, so I don't feel bad telling them no on that question as well. read more

Good for Tj Maxx. Stepping things up a bit. I've been to their Orem store, but I always forget about this location. Not that I'd be here all the time, but I had some time to kill tonight and wandered in. Good for them, for keeping things much more neatly organized than many of their discount department store neighbors. It wasn't perfect, but smalls were with smalls, mediums with mediums, ties with ties, and shoes with shoes. They've also got some nicer stuff. Sometimes I wonder who wears the stuff at places like this, but it was perfectly presentable. The home decor and kitchen stuff was fascinating and cheap. I nearly made away with a tin for square cupcakes until I realized.. um.. now why didn't I buy that? It's also well-signed and doesn't look like it's in dire need of a remodel, so that's a plus as well. With all these pluses, I'm sure you're paying an extra few bucks. But that's their gig, so it makes sense. I'm not a monstrous, raving fan. At then end of the day, it's not exactly well-curated or cute, but it does have a lot of clothes, home decor, shoes, socks, accessories, and kids stuff under one roof. read more

I'm not a huge fan of TJ Maxx stores, although I have been to some that I've liked better than others. They don't generally sell clothes that I am interested in, and for everything else they sell I'd just rather go to Home Goods. I definitely don't love this location. It always seems to be a mess, and feels dingy. Sometimes I think I'll give it a try, but whenever I walk in I immediately remember why I don't like it. It's not terrible, but I don't see any reason to go out of your way to shop here. read more

Best place for purses, luggage, and dog toys. Really!! Oh, and gift bags/cards. I can usually find shoes, boots, pjs and workout gear. They have lots of seasonal decorations and clothes. Decent selection. But my shopping trip was blighted by a cashier who asked me-- no less than EIGHT TIMES-- whether I wanted their credit card. ME: NO thanks. HER: NO problem....but are you sure you wouldn't like to consider it? ME: Again, no thanks. HER: Are you SURE? Basically we pay you to shop. ME: What's the interest rate? HER: (to another employee) What's an interest rate?...are you SURE you don't want our credit card...? ME: A thousand no's. Get it when you see it, it won't be there when you come back. This is one of my favorite stores with unique items, especially the International Food. I especially like shopping the clearance section, that way I can try something new without having to spend too much money on it. read more

Located at the shops at fort union this TJ maxx is decently stocked with supplies and has a cute variety of women's clothing. I don't see a huge difference in this location from others but it does appear to not be as crowded as some locations I've gone to. And who knows that could just be coincidence of timing I have gone but that's neither here or there. If you have shopping to do everything is so close to each other over here that it makes it such a convenient spot for all your grocery and regular shopping needs. I have a friend who works there, and they had requested 5-hour shifts as a 16-year-old; it's important to be working 5 hours so it doesn't take a toll on their mental health. The manager has been giving them 8-hour shifts, 9-5, 10-5, and 2-10. They did not respect their wishes which made it difficult to work. While the store is super cute, they're overworking their employees and not being very kind to them. I love TJ Maxx! They have a variety of things and it's almost impossible to walk out of this store without finding something you can't live without. Home decor, clothing, shoes, travel accessories, hair and makeup, pets, kids, kitchen supplies, the list goes on. The Draper Utah location has to be my favorite out for be few I've been too based on selection. read more

I really like this TJ Maxx because of its location number one. Number two it's always well organized and the customer service is very friendly. Number three, uuumm there's no number three really. Over all, this store has a great variety of watches, jewellery, clothes, house goods,dog things aaaand shoes!! I love a good bargain, and I'm a total Maxxinista! This location stays pretty clean. comparatively speaking. The dressing rooms are always cleared out and never junkied up. The staff is so-so; not super friendly, but not terrible. read more

BEWARE: TJ Maxx does not stand behind the products they sell and their exchange policy is ridiculous! I bought a $35 purse with grommets on the front. Within the first few days several grommets fell off. I took the defective purse back to trade it for a $29.00 non defective purse and was told without tags and receipt they could do nothing unless I found the identical defective purse at another store, so they could tell the price of the $35.00 purse. I called and visited 6 stores and no one could help me (only one employee knew what grommets were and most didn't know what color taupe was). None of the stores had the identical purse. What store doesn't know the approximate price of what they sell? Especially when I told them I paid $35.00 which was completely in line with SIMILAR purses. Plus I was willing to do a straight across trade for a CHEAPER purse. I am flabbergasted and I wonder how they stay in business. In this electronic day and age this is completely unacceptable.
