When waiting in the humongous line to check out, I could tell Emily and Savannah were 1000% c-section babies, from the way they avoided labor. They were complete jokes and useless, Emily was walking around the registers scratching her arms like a crackhead just waisting time, Savannah was very slow and should not at all work in a place with a fast paced environment. This Ross seems more particularly ransacked than other locations I've visited. The store looks messy and unorganized. Some of the great sale prices I found on similar items at other locations are not on as good of a sale at this location. Today I went to buy an item and as I was walking through checkout, there was one register open and it was a African middle aged woman with orange short hair She was checking someone out and I wanted to look at the snacks and chips they had, etc. below the counter, so I walked kindly in front of the lady that was getting checked out to look at the stuff they had. There's no way the lady could've thought I was cutting the line because there was only her register open she had a really nasty and rude tone and raised her hand shooed me away with a really aggressive jester saying you need to go back in your place while she shooed and pointed behind the lady I found that really rude and disrespectful all I was tryna do is look at the snacks they had so after I was done checking out, I told her she needed to work on her social skills because clearly I'm sure she's rude to every customer she encounters to which she responded. I don't have to come back to her store and I'm not allowed back so I spoke my mind and made sure she understood how disrespected I felt I've been going to the store for years never had a problem never met such a miserable person in my whole life. Came in 12/14/21. I love this ross, the girl at the register is really nice and we found nice clothes!! it looks really understaffed so I hope they can get some more people to help her but otherwise it's a great store. The line was super short so we basically just went int, tried our stuff on, and left. Might apply because she said she loves working there and it looks like they could use help :)) read more

Stopped by on Sunday, 2/9/2020, kind of early in the morning so not too many people but to my disbelief the store had empty shelving, completely missing some sections, we have inquired this angry lady behind the register if this location is closing? She said no, we are just cleaning the shelves so there is no product, seeing that I am having a hard time believing her she proceeded to state that it happens all the time, everywhere! Excuse me, in my 30+ some years of going to stores this must be the top 10 BS I have been told by associate, you remove product to the back to clean the shelving while no one is cleaning or replenishing it and still managed to feed customers nonsense of it being a common practice?? This is the place to go for clothing at a good price. The store is very clean and organized. They also have a wide variety of items to choose from. The staff is also very friendly and greet you as soon as you walk in. Great selection and variety. Great prices. Definitely will be back. read more

I bough some slippers that were a size 3 for my kids in Rosemont while at work and when I came home I found out they don't fit so I went to the nearest Ross in Naperville now mind you the tag fell off and I couldn't find but I thought it was fine since I had the receipt and the shoes haven't been touched but when I went to Naperville they wouldn't take them back and said they were "worn out" even went as far to bring the manger out to argue with me after I gave up and said you know what it's not worth and it she put an anti theift tag on the shoes I tried to return to frame me for stealing i was appalled I work as a taxi driver making hard earn money just to spend it on a store who wants to frame me a thief?! She tried to explain that "during the process I accidentally put it on" I came to that store with that not on, she intentionally put it there. I don't know how I could spend in total from 2 different Ross stores 277.44 who has quite frankly made me upset and uncomfortable. never coming back to Naperville again. if you ever come here be very weary of the people there read more

What a crap hole! I was expecting something a little more than this. Yes it's bargain priced items but why does every discount store look like a bunch of hooligans pillaged each aisle? All I wanted was a cheap rug set for the bathroom. I was hard pressed to find even two pieces in the same color. Everything strewn about, mismatched and plain old "hells no." Check out wasn't even better. One cashier for the whole store was at the return counter ringing up customers, taking back returns, etc. I would come here only if you're just looking to browse. Yeah I was excited coming from the east coast where tons of Ross's are located and have great hidden selections in their stock. But yeahhhhhhh this one was a disappointed it looked soooooo vacant and poorly organized. Instead of being new and fresh it appeared like they were going out of business. If I could give ZERO stars, I would! My experience at this Ross was HORRIBLE! I had waited in line for over 10 mins, after which, I kindly asked the ONLY cashier to please call for back up. The cashier RUDELY SNAPPED at me and told me that she already had, which in the 10 mins that I was waiting, she had not. Another 5 mins go by and I kindly asked the ONLY cashier, if she could please call someone for back up (at this time there were about 20 people in line). The cashier turned to me and said "LOOK LADY, THERE ARE ONLY TWO OF US WORKING IN THE STORE AND SHE'S PROBABLY BUSY. IF YOU WANT TO CALL CORPORATE AND COMPLAIN, GO FOR IT!". Hello, I have been a devoted Ross customer for years. On Sunday, January 3, 2021 I purchased a dog bed - item #400215430232 35X22 2-TONE SHERP for the price of $11.99. I brought it home a couple hours later. Within 5 minutes after I gave it to my dog she torn it apart and stuffing flew all over the place, which demonstrated the product's really low quality. I was very upset because I hoped that the bed would last at least for a few weeks. Dog items should be suitable for dogs and shouldn't be broken into pieces within 5 minutes, otherwise why would they be called "dog items"? I called the Ross store located in Naperville, IL (phone # 630-778-6408) and spoke with manager Joe Filsinger. I explained my situation to him, but he refused to take this substandard product back or to give me a store credit. I understand that your store policy mentions that the store doesn't take damaged products back, and generally I agree with that. However, if the product breaks within 5 (!) minutes of its use and it is not suitable for the dog use (as it is in this case with the dog bed), it doesn't reflect good on the store's reputation. Plus, probably Ross doesn't want to sell things that have low quality anyway. So, probably it is even good for the store to be informed that one of its items, particularly this dog bed, has such a low quality. It shouldn't be sold at Ross at all, in order to not upset other customers in the future. If the store returns back $12 (plus tax) for one bed or gives a store credit, while discontinuing sales of the item #400215430232 35X22 2-TONE SHERP, in the future it will benefit from doing that, because Ross wouldn't be offering people dissatisfactory products, such as this dog bed that doesn't suit dogs at all. Considering that during these difficult times many stores are closing, I think that it is very important for Ross to keep its business, service and products on a high level and to keep its customers satisfied. I hope that Ross will consider helping me in this situation. Very hit or miss. I've had some pretty good luck getting some nice clothes that I didn't really want to spend much on. Some selections have dwindled down a lot since the store opened - ladies' jeans, mens' clothing in general, etc. Other stuff like fitness clothing I've never had any luck with. Make sure to check out the clearance areas - while you are digging through mostly crap, once in a while there is a great find. My sister got a cute Calvin Klein hoodie for $2.99, and my favorite buy was probably a cute Nine West dress for $25 that Macy's was still selling in their stores for $138. I usually get our sheets from Overstock but gave Ross a try last time. They cost less but I'm not a fan. The first pair had to be returned because they were literally falling apart at the seams before I even got them on the bed. I exchanged for a different brand, and in a short time the fabric is already pilling and discoloring. The dressing room attendants have been great, and my one exchange went very well. The cashiers though - oy. Some are good, but multiple act like they are being tortured every time they ring someone up. My favorite was standing in a line of 4 and growing while the only 2 cashiers weren't helping anyone, just standing together and gossiping about some "problem" customer. They kept glancing over at us then going back to talking, got yelled at not once but twice by another employee, before finally the second one went back to her register and they both started to ring people up. Not sure I've seen two people look more miserable and annoyed! I've been to the newer Bolingbrook one a few times, and they seem more pleasant, and generally don't seem to hate you for buying stuff. read more

I went to this store for the first time yesterday. I did buy something but found the store a little messy and prices a little high. The item I get didn't end up being a good fit for me. So I went to return it. There is no customer service in this store and I was told I needed to get in the line that I thought was for purchase. They move so slow and I can't be on my feet for long. Unhappy I wasn't able to return the item at this time. This is a store I will not be going back too. I hope not all the stores are as messy as this one. read more

It's very difficult to find anything specific here. A lot of sections look like they're vacant and a lot of the clothes look simply unwearable (especially in the women's section). Don't come here if you have something in mind to buy, because you probably will not find it here. The bigger issue is customer service. The cashiers have mostly been rude and short with everyone and the fitting room attendant I saw was one of the most unpleasant employees I've ever encountered. First of all, they have this discreet clothes rack with an unnoticeable sign that says to leave the clothes you want to try on on the rack so the attendant can give you a number. Well, because it was strategically placed so that everyone could miss it, I walked passed it. Then chimes in Mrs. I-have-an-attitude-problem with the most "I-hate-you-but-I-want-to-keep-my-job-so-I-will-speak-to-you-like-a-child" tone, saying, "ma'am, you need to leave your clothes on the rack and wait" I didn't know which rack she was talking about (because it was maybe two feet in length and 4 feet in height), so I verified with her once I saw the tiniest clothing rack ever, and she said (rudely, but with the same tone), "Yes, that's what the sign says" and does the snarkiest fake smile I've ever seen. She refused to give me a number unless I put my ONE dress on the rack like "she said so" (which is a little humiliating, isn't it?). If I would have gotten her name, I would post it just so everyone could be aware of this employee in particular. If you're looking for a fight, I suggest coming here. read more

Worst place ever! My husband was an exceptional worker and a great manager. My husband however had to stay in the hospital for 5 days due to his anxiety and depression. The employees and store manager David did not care about him at all. My husband worked his butt off there. In fact he worked so hard there that he was barely home. I called and told David about him needing to be in the hospital and he said it was fine. When my husband returned to work with a letter stating he was an admitted patient and he had all verified documents as well the bosses tell him he is on leave. They give my husband no reason why whatsoever. Then a week later David calls and leaves a voicemail stating my husband is fired and gives no reason. We have called human resources and they have given us the run around. So hope ross is ready to be sued. You can't fire an employee because they have a mental break down and need hospitalization. Worse place ever! Do not shop there or work there. They talk about employees behind their backs and have no respect. Ross is getting sued big time because of this. Shop somewhere else that is fair to everyone. read more

After navigating through some really ugly clothes, occasionally you can find that hidden gem. Super rare. Maybe 1 out of every 4 visits do I find something. Then after you find it, look for holes. Many many times I've tried stuff on and the garment had holes. The women here (customers) are rude. But it's the kind of store that attracts them. They feel at home I'm sure. read more
