I had bought 5 items that I wanted to return and I never had a problem with my stuff being return until today 4/30/26 at 3:16 I have return shoes,legging,sweater, and white t shirt and they told me that the leggings where wet and smelled like softener I barely even try on this item so I wouldn't know why she thought it smelled like softener i even asked her why would it smell like softener if the tag is still there same place and everything and she refused to answer my question when I told her multiple times it doesn't even smell like nothing I even asked my mom and nothing I wanna see if another person who works there can smell what the lady had smelled but there was nothing all the question I asked she refused it also had some rude faces the lady and this young lady who worked at that time never coming back mind you it was a size m/L they never true on the size read more

Discovery has a great selection of clothes, especially the basic necessities like tanks, t's, sweaters and pants. They have clothes for active wear, casual wear, club wear, business wear...pretty much any wear. They carry the latest trends, so if you want what's in right now, but maybe not tomorrow, they'll have it. The prices are amazingly low for some of the items! I was shopping for black pants one day and prices ranged from $10 - $25, pretty decent for pants. Unfortunately, since skinny style is all the rage, it was hard to find regular bottom pants here. The biggest downside to Discovery is that they don't let you try the clothes on. I'm not much for returning things to the store, so I always like to make sure things fit before I make that purchase. Can't really do that here since there are no dressing rooms. I guess you have 14 days to return your purchase, but that can be a hassle. The best thing about this location is that it is close to Goodwill, where you can drop off your old clothes to make room for the new ones! I'm a bit embarrassed to say (at my age) that I shop here. Not for the super trendy stuff, obviously... but work-friendly dress pants and sweaters, basic tank tops for layering, and those super soft micro fleece pants in the winter time are my thing. Today I stopped in for a few new sweaters for work. I managed to grab two ($10.99 a piece), some micro fleeces pj pants, and a button up hoodie/jacket thing. Not sure what exactly it is, but it looked cute, it was $11.99, and if I don't like it, I'll return it tomorrow no questions asked. I gotten some decent necklaces there before, but that's it really. I have a feeling the rings will turn your fingers green and the over-sized belts are gaudy. At least for someone my age. I've also been lucky enough to score two pairs of cute suede (almost-knee high) boots that have lasted so far. It's hard when you wear a size 8 like everyone else, because most of the time that size is out of stock. This store is hit or miss, but for basics, you can't go wrong. You can get a cami top for $18 at Kohl's, or for $4.99 at Discovery. You do the math. No one sees it anyway if it's used for layering, so why pay three times as much? Oh, and for $12.99, the three pairs of work pants I bought there well over a year ago are still holding up. Not like the pair for $45 I bought at the "expect great things" store, which were ruined after two washes. read more

I was about to give this place one start, but thought to myself, "Wait, I shop here whenever I pass throught town". So, the bottom line here is cheaply made, cute looking clothing, cheap prices, no dressing rooms and don't try on anything over your clothes. "No dressing rooms, why?" I asked one of the women on the floor when I first visited. She said that it helped with costs. I guess it would if people bought a lot of things that don't look good and don't fit and are too lazy to return them. Any sort of service or help in this store is unheard of. Luckily, this store is located right next to my Naperville home, so I run I buy everything in two sizes, run home, try them on and return the ones I don't want. Well, I have bought a few choice items over the years. Most of them I wear a few times and they get kind of stretched out or threads start to unravel. Others, have ended up in bags for the Good Will shortly after my purchase. I do have a pair of khakis, cute top and Dollhouse jeans which have lasted and brought me a lot of compliments. Though I have had a bit of luck, I think the best way to approach this is to buy tanks, tees and other simple items that you don't want to spend much money on. A cheaper Forever 21 without a fitting room but a great 14 day return and exchange policy! I am a teacher, so I'm always looking for cute clothes that aren't expensive. I don't care tons for quality, but I do crave to wear things that are comfortable. This store has tons of jewelery, all types purses/clutches, casual to dressy clothes. It even has cute shoes! The accessories are cheap, so I only wear them when I'm going out...but they last for a good while. How can you say no to 9 dollar shoes and 4 dollar earrings and necklaces? Tops are around 10 bucks...which you see for 20 at Target and Kohl's. There sizes are smaller but if you know your body type, then you should be good! They got big mirrors to check yourself out. I go to the Fox Valley Mall across the street and I am a picky shopper so sometimes I end up buying nothing from there and coming here! Lots of girls shop here so don't mind the long line. Newsflash! Facebook ads can be useful! One brought me here, a store I had previously overlooked, by promising me a shiny new bracelet. And you know what? It earned them a customer. I'd never heard of the store before, although I regularly frequent the strip mall it's located in. When I walked in, I admit I was put off by the first clothes I saw on display. Midriff-bearing hoodies with a bedazzled Tweety bird emblazoned on them? Uh... Not for me, thanks. But buried deeper in the store are a surprising amount of work-friendly sweaters and dress pants for very reasonable prices. I'm proud to say I walked out with an armload of sweaters I practically live in, plus a shiny new bracelet to boot. Thanks, Discovery! read more

One of the largest Discoverys I have been to. Discovery is hit or miss. I'm always able to find one or two cute tops but 80% of the store is tacky. But maybe I'm just getting too old. Cute inexpensive accessories - usually run around $5.99 for a necklace or pack of bracelets. Only downside is there are no fitting rooms at Discovery. I understand the concept but it kinda sucks because their refund window is only like 14 days or so. read more

Absolutely miss having Discovery Clothing Co around. They don't exist on the west coast and I make sure to stock up on clothes when I do come home. I don't feel that the quality is that sub-par. I mean, for the price, I think it's pretty good. Especially, because one season, a friend got the SAME exact sweater at Charlotte Russe for $7-9 more. I especially, love the long spaghetti straps that come in every color imaginable and are only $5. Sure, it's a little inconvenient that they don't have fitting rooms and you must return within 14 days. However, they accept returns at any location (great as they span the Chicagoland Area - even just outside of Chicago in IN). Also, this location is on the way to Fox Valley Mall. So, my suggestion is that I always buy WAY more than I need for my first stop and just plan to go back and return stuff, on my way to do my other errands. Don't waste your time coming here. I literally just walked out! They had ONE person to ring up everyone. It was only one person in front of me I waited 20 minutes. The manager saw me in line you would think that she would jump in and start ringing me up. That was not the case I finally got fed up and put my items on the counter. I wasted 20 minutes for nothing. The cashier was extremely slow I will never come back here they just lost another valuable customer. read more

Discovery has cute and Trendy clothes for great prices... But that's about it! Many of the clothes I buy from here are of cheap quality and the employees that work there are kind of rude. Another downside of Discovery is that I can only buy their tops and never any bottoms because they don't have a fitting room, which is so inconvenient! Every time I try to buy jeggings from there or even just plain leggings they never fit me right! So I just had to give up all together! But on the bright side I do like their little perfume selection! For it to be off brands and really cheap they smell great!!!! read more

Highly disappointed with the no bag policy. Spend $300 at ultra next door and thought I would look around in discovery for something. I was told to leave my bag with the teenagers at the register while I shopped. That was not going to happen, so I was not able to shop here. It's insulting to customers and unnecessary. An alternative would to request to simply check the bag on the way out of there were suspicions. read more

Bad experience at Naperville store. I live in Plainfield, the discovery store there was closed. I was treating my 25-year-old daughter and her and my 18-month-old grandson to a day of shopping. I just shopped at the Gordman's store nearby. We spent almost $100 at Gordmans. I am sure we would've spent much more at discovery since my daughter really likes the clothes. However they were blocked from entering the store because I was pushing a cart with my 18-month-old grandson in it. A woman rudely blocked my way and exclaimed the carts were not allowed in the store. I do not understand this policy, isn't it better to have the child safely restrained for the safety of the child and the convenience of the other patrons? I am very upset by this and would like an explanation. Needless to say, will be shopping elsewhere today. read more

This place is good if your looking for cheep shoes to wear out or just clothes for work that may get ruined cause you don't have to spend much to get a outfit together. But they don't have dressing rooms and every time you try to cash out you will be standing there for 10 to 20 mins. Customer service just sucks. Don't expect your clothes or jewelry to last long if you get it from here.. kinda a waste to get any jewelry here actually. But the clothes can last longer, same with some of the shoes. Don't get winter boots here though invest in something from Nordstrom rack or something. read more

Will never shop here again. Spent about $60 there and immediately went home to try everything on (because they don't have fitting rooms) and one of the dresses tore as I was putting it on, due to its very poor quality. I went back to the store less than an hour after the original purchase and was told by a VERY rude employee there was nothing they could do. I know I shouldn't expect much when the prices are so low, but I don't think wanting to wear something ONCE is asking too much. I'd rather spend a few more dollars on things I'll actually be able to wear rather than wasting money on things that'll tear as soon as I get home. Don't waste your time and money here. read more

They've recently remodeled this location, and it looks great. Very clean and surprisingly well merchandised.

The store has excellent selection. From inexpensive tees and tanks in every color, to club tops and dresses, their variety is impressive in the post-remodelled store. However, just as it was at their old location and North Aurora location, ALL OF THE ASSOCIATES HAVE ATTITUDES. They want absolutely nothing to do with you and would frankly like you to get your purchases and get the hell out. I truly would make Discovery Clothing a location for the majority of my shopping, if their associates didn't ignore you and stare daggers at you constantly. You are unable to try on clothes in the store, and an associate "caught me" once, putting my arm through the sleeve of a coat to see if it fit, and she snapped at me. She said, "You can't try on clothes here." I asked, "How are we supposed to know if it fits?" and she said, "We have a 14 day return policy." This store is not for people who expect service and quality, but I greatly enjoy their scarves, shoes, accessories, and basic clothing. read more

I was recently here on 6/12/17 to return a cute top that didn't fit. I decided to shop around for other things...then if I found something, I would go and pay for it and at the same time return the top....kill two birds with one stone. :) About five minutes passed and one of the employees came up to me and told me I needed to leave my bag at the counter. Never in my life have I needed to leave a bag at the counter if I was going to be browsing around first!!!! :( I felt pretty "insulted" as if I was going to "steal" something!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And she made it worse because of the tone she used with me...very dry and no expression on her face. So, after that sour moment, I tried to get over it and kept browsing a little bit longer. Finally, found some cute flip flops and went to pay for them. I saw her working one of the registers and hoping she wouldn't assist me and she did!! :( Again, "very dry" attitude, no smile, no did you find what you were looking for and no thank you have a nice day or explain the no shopping bag policy while you are browsing deal!!!! Very disappointed in this store and plan in not coming EVER again!!!! I've been to the Discovery in North Aurora and they are much friendlier over there in my experience and will continue to go over there from now one!!!
