Great Finds and Discounts at Ross Dress for Less in West Volusia Town Center. One of the reasons I love shopping at Ross Dress for Less is the amazing discounts, ranging from 20 to 60 percent off department store prices. This location in Orange City, Florida, is no exception! Whether you're looking for home decor, seasonal items, or even clothing, you're sure to find something at a great price. I recently visited and was impressed with the holiday decorations already on display, even before the holidays hit. There were lots of outdoor and indoor Halloween decorations, including fun costumes for dogs and people of all ages--from kids to adults. Some costumes are priced below $10, which is a steal! I also found festive Halloween party dishes, mugs, and other fun items to set the mood. The Christmas decor is also rolling in, so if you spot something you like, I'd recommend grabbing it early. I've learned from experience that waiting too long means the best items can be sold out closer to the holidays. This Ross location is one of the more organized stores I've been to. It's clean, and I appreciate that it's wheelchair-friendly, including the accessible bathrooms. The dressing rooms are also kept clean, and the staff are always friendly and knowledgeable, ready to help you find what you're looking for. If you're trying to avoid long lines, I'd recommend visiting later in the evening. The lines can get busy between 5 and 6 PM as people stop by after work, but I've found that they move pretty quickly. Also, a neat touch for Florida shoppers: they always seem to have umbrellas for sale near the front of the store in case you get caught in one of our many rainstorms! I wandered in here one afternoon after leaving B&BW which is in the same shopping area. The store was clean and organized. I found a beautiful, large mirror in a distressed white frame for my entryway. I had been looking for the perfect mirror for at last a year. Paid only $25 for it. If you've ever shopped for mirrors, you know that's a wonderful price for a large mirror. If you have a dogs/dogs make sure to check out the dog toys. Ross always has good, sturdy dog toys at really great prices. They are usually 1/4 of the price you'll find them at Target or any of the pet stores. I have a Standard Poodle who is my service dog, so I always grab a few new toys for him each time I'm in Ross. The only complaint I have is the LONG, LONG line to check out. I shopped for about 15 minutes. I waited in line to check out for nearly 45 minutes. I know this is mainly because people just aren't wanting to work nowadays, so companies are having a difficult time finding people. This is seriously going to start hurting companies more and more if people don't go back to work because I'll come here one more time and if I see the line that long again, then I'll just go home and order a mirror online for $100+ and not waste my time standing in a line. It's a sad day when an American would rather sit on their ass and collect money from the government than get up and get a job. SMH. read more

Not everyone can spot the treasures in Ross stores, but I've had so much luck, and love shopping these stores. My wife & I road tripped up the Atlantic coast from Sarasota to Buffalo. We stopped at nearly every Ross store along the way. This one was nice, clean, not too rowdy, as some of these stores can be. I always find great pillows, some bedding, plus size clothing - we got cool plus size galaxy leggings for $5 per pair! Their housewares can be good too. Shoes, we almost always have luck. I've gotten some great Sketchers, Tevas, etc at Ross. It's a great chain. My only wish is that we had these stores in Western NY! read more

This is the cleanest and most organized Ross i have ever been to. I was greeted by the sales associate immediately upon me walking in the door. While i was searching through the clothes there was a sales associate there to help me, who was super kind. Unfortunately i didn't buy anything but because of the excellent service, it makes me want to make this Ross my go to. read more

Never, in my life, I would have seen myself give a 5 star review to a Ross Department Store... But YES, if there's ever a Ross Department Store deserving of a 5-star review, it's this one. Let me start by emphasizing that the couple of times that I've visited this store it's VERY organized and clean. Needless to say that the products do not appear battered, but perfectly new and in mint condition (contrary to the items found in most Ross Department Stores). Upon entering the store, you are greeted by a friendly security officer (just like any other Ross Store), who immediately offers guidance in pointing out specific departments. Also,the store employees that I've encountered are very amicable, to my surprise (and not in that annoying persistent way, but more like "I'm here if you need me and you are awesome for visiting us). Finally, since Orange City is not a very populated area (when compared to Orlando), this store is always a breeze to breeze through! (See what I did there? LOL). If in the area, really, just visit it so you can be joyfully amazed! I know I will! read more

I feel like I've just discovered Ross. Although I've been in the store several times, I mostly went for the home goods section of the store. On this occasion, I happen to glance around at the clothing and low and behold, There's a GROWN WOMAN SECTION! Why did I not know this before?! I usually keep a list of clothing stores that have plus size, non-old lady looking clothing. Somehow Ross slipped through my fingers all these years. Not anymore! On my first visit since my discovery, I tried on 6 items and decided against them because, well, we all have those days when nothing looks right. But on my second visit since my discovery, I tried on about 12 items and came home with 3! I would have bought a lot more if I had the right outfit pairings, but you know how that goes too. I would have to say that this trip was a success! I'm leaving one star off of the end because I bought 2 gorgeous glass Rooster canisters for the kitchen but when I got them home, I found that both canisters had cracked or broken glass. Some may consider this my own fault for not checking the items very well before I bought them. But considering they have a clearance section specifically for damaged goods, and these weren't in that section, I assumed I wouldn't have to check them out before purchasing. Also, it didn't help that when I got to the dressing room, the associate mumbled under her breathe, "You've got to be kidding me" and I felt as though the comment was directed at me and the amount of clothes I had to try on. Not very professional. That being said, I returned my canisters the next day with no issues. The associate dealing with returns and exchanges was happy to help me and didn't ask any questions. It's Ross guys. You go because you want to pay less than the department stores. That being said, this location serves itself well. Staff is never rude or complacent. Items are kept well organized and stocked. I love shopping here and wouldn't waste money paying for atmosphere elsewhere. read more

I have a daughter that is 13 years old and she is very picky with her clothing. I know that if I take her to the Ross in Orange City we will find her what she likes and usually a few extra items I like too! Very clean store and the best thing is they issue returns with a smile. read more

It's your average Ross except I'd say a bit cleaner and more organized. I didn't wait an exceptionally long time to check out at all (in fact only about 45 seconds) before a very friendly cashier jumped on and rung me out. Overall good experience today. Clean. Friendly. And easy to shop. read more
