Last Christmas, I came looking for something special for my newest granddaughter. I found the cutest purple sloth and a sweet book called Good Night, Sloth. Unfortunately, my granddaughter loved her purple sloth a little too much and managed to mess it up! So, when I came back to Folsom, I knew I had to look for another purple sloth. They are so popular that the purple sloth is currently on backorder, but I found this big, super-soft sloth instead. It's actually an upgrade and will be perfect for her! My other daughter is expecting her first baby--a little boy! So, of course, we had to do some baby shopping. We found some adorable finger-puppet books and a Warmies dinosaur. So many cute things! But this store offers so much more than baby items. You can find things for your kitchen, bedroom, dining room, Christmas, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and so much more. There are unique gifts everywhere you look. I absolutely love browsing here! I only wish I lived a little closer. I live in Nevada, but whenever I come to California to visit my daughter, we're definitely going to make a day trip to Folsom. It's so close to her, and this store is always worth the trip. The people here are awesome, too! They even offered us some homemade cinnamon rolls, and they were AMAZING! The prices are very reasonable, and they also offer a military discount, which is a wonderful bonus. If you're in Folsom, California, make sure you stop by Not Too Shabby on Sutter Street. Meaning that if you're the avid collector of quirky one-of-a-kind treasures, this would be the ideal spot for you to check out. I will say that this location is in a very industrial area of Rancho Cordova as they are directly on Mercantile Dr and tucked in between Trade Center Dr and Folsom Blvd. Parking is as simple as you can imagine since this is a very desolate area surrounded by unmarked warehouses in all directions. I also wanted to say that they do have limited hours only being open Thursday-Sunday from 10am-6pm while being closed Monday-Wednesday. I came here during the afternoon on Saturday 3/7/2026 at around 3:00pm. There were only a few cars parked in front which gave me the impression the majority of those were employees vehicles. Upon entry, I was greeted by a gentleman at the main entrance. I will say that this place is quite huge with aisles and aisles of products that include kitchenware, jewelry, home decor, crafts, books, clothing, crafts, toys, handmade items, furniture, collectibles, dolls, and much more. Just about everything for sale is new and/or near-new with many items that are decades old while being distributed through the vendors. I will say that the prices are definitely on the higher end of the spectrum but as I mentioned, everything is unique and distinctive. Since I already stated the positives, I will tell you some of the negatives. During my visit which was from 3:00-3:45pm, I was literally followed by several employees. I get that they want to completely minimize shoplifters but I could see the staff giving me the stare down in the corner of my eye. This completely tarnished the overall image of my shopping experience as I am someone that doesn't like to be watched when taking my time to shop. Needless to say that I didn't buy anything but just in case you want to visit this business, that was my firsthand experience of what to expect. Finally, if the Rancho Cordova location is too out of the way, Bliss Marketplace also has locations in Midtown Sacramento (27th/R St's) as well as Roseville Square (Douglas/Harding Blvd) with the same hours of operation. They also follow the season/time of year as my visit (which was in early-March) had a lot of Easter and springtime decor. I am sure it gets very festive during the fall and Christmas season. With a nice variety of goods combined with a convenient quiet location but just okay service, I am giving the Rancho Cordova "Bliss Marketplace" an above average four star rating.

Gather holds a number of different crafting classes, from painting to macramé, to candles and body scrubs, and everything in between! They also offer seasonal classes such as wreath-making and chunky blanket weaving. I attended a private "Scrub & Bubbly" party where we made 3 different body scrubs to take home. The sweet owner Meleya was our instructor and had the mimosa bar and our work space, nicely organized with all of our tools and ingredients, set up when we arrived for our 90 minute class. She had some pre-printed recipe suggestions for us or we could make up our own concoctions as far as what scents we liked. Everyone's individual sugar scrubs turned out amazing! It was such a fun and enjoyable time, sipping on our mimosas and getting our hands dirty (and by that, I actually mean, getting our hands CLEAN AND SOFT AND SMELLING WONDERFUL!). Perfect spot to host a special event (birthdays, showers, etc.) or if you're just in a crafting mood. So gather your friends, make something awesome, and have a great time!

Gather hosts a variety of craft classes. You can learn to knit an infinity scarf, glass etching, jewelry stamping and so much more. The day I attended their one year anniversary event we made a glass gratitude jar and a hanging succulent in a glass ornament. I had so much fun! You can book your own private party, you can bring food and snacks for that or use their local chefs and bakers. Visiting here with a group of friends would be fun, for girls night out. Date night or a this is a great birthday party idea too! I'm looking forward to returning soon!
