She was like "ma'am you need to remove your hangers" when there's no place to put them in..... and isn't that your job to help remove the hangers off of the items? I just think it is silly that you have a self-checkout but have to wait in another line to remove the sensors, they need to make it like target! read more

It's an 'off-price' store, which is just a fancy way of saying they scoop up all the leftover inventory from big department stores and sell it to us for a fraction of the cost. I was still on a quest for ladies pjs so I popped in for a quick look since I was right across the street at lunch. I found a cute blouse but I didn't purchase it since I came looking for sleepwear. I found exactly what I needed and got in this huge line that said returns and check out. A lady came over and ushered a handful of customers in the line over to the self checkout area. This area is not really visible from that other line. They are going to need to lay this out better and have better signage. But a pretty good idea! There were 4 self checkout stations. After you finish and pay, you go to the self checkout attendant and show them your merchandise and the receipt and they will remove any security device that needs removed. It actually was a pretty cool way to get things moving. It's better than just standing in line waiting for one or two clerks, when potentially 4 people can be checking themselves out. Granted, you may have another short line for security device removal but at least you felt like there was progress towards finishing up so you can be in your way! read more

Security was very rude. We tried the self check out and we obviously didn't know the process and I was looking for a bag. She yelled at me stating "I will bag your items when you finish paying". Then once we finished we asked if she needed a receipt and she grabbed the receipt out of my hand. No please no thank you. This lady honestly hated her job. My only real complaint is about the "Self Checkout". It really isn't, as after you check out, you have to go through Security, where they scan all your stuff again! Just wait in the regular line & skip the headache. read more

It's Ross people. They don't pay their employees enough money. I used to work at Ross part time so I know. I loved working at Ross. I've never met a rude cashier here. If for some reason they are rude then ask them how their day is and tell them to smile. Maybe I'm just a people person. I could usually make people smile when they are having a bad day. If you want the lines to move faster, remove the hangers on your clothes and put them on the hanger rack which is placed by the check out line. Has a good location just very short on mens/ boys selection. Store is clean and some what in order just not alot to offer males at all, Two racks for men one 2 for boys and 20 for women and an entire side of accessories for them as well. Small home goods area and toys as well. Overall just not as good as other locations ive been too yet they have a great location hope to see some change on future returns since its close to my house. read more

I've gone a couple times, the clothing selection is really not that cheap compared to discounted trendy stuff at malls/outlets. Plus somehow I don't get the new feel on the clothes even though they're new, some shirts I've tried have stains which makes me wonder what went through that garment to have a stain and why wasn't it cleaned before putting it out there. Most dress shirts are around 20 dollars which I've gotten really quality ones from name brands in the actual brand stores when they have sales, and much more trendy models. read more

I've been to better Ross locations before. I found that this one has a very low inventory and the shelves seem somewhat bare. I don't go to this Ross unless I'm looking for something on the cheapy cheap (such as a bathmat) or white towels. The cashiers are also hit or miss, for the most part they're friendly. However, the security folks I find to be rude. read more

Every Ross you go to you can expect disorganization and very good prices. Environment: I personally don't mind too much for the clutter, it gives the place character. (; I Normally find what I'm looking for here, plus the deals are unbeatable. Products: the only complaint I have is that a lot of the merchandise is open and some parts of them are missing. Service is nice, I am always greeted walking in here and the check out people are generally pretty patient. Love Ross, and definitely coming back! read more

This is by far the worst Ross location I have ever been to. The cashier's who work here must hate their jobs, must hate people, and must hate life in general because they are so rude to the customers. Here is a tip for the workers at Ross, if you hate your job go find a new one. Remember if customers didn't come to your store you wouldn't have a job and wouldn't get paid. If you hate being in the people industry then go back to school and find something else to do and get a different job. To the manager of this location and/or the district manager who I hope reads these reviews, tell your Cashiers to hand your customer the receipt and not tell the customer to take it when you leave. Your job is to put the receipt in the bag. Last time I checked I don't work at Ross. Also, I don't want to hear the employees argue back and forth on what time they're going to get off or they have to stay or complain about their other co-workers. I think we call that being unprofessional and I can't believe you guys allow this to happen on the floor. The only positive is the loss prevention guy who is usually at the front of the store and is actually nice and greets you. read more

Every time I come here there's always an employee with attitude. I don't know if management sucks or just annoying customers ruin their day. Just know when you go, you will feel disrespected even if you're nice. read more

Went on Thursdays to see if I would fine anything good such as clothes. Went into the changing room to fit some clothes on and the dressing room mirrors were SO DIRTY not just one but ALL of them.The baby's clothing area was disorganized and clothes all over the place. Went to the front were the shoes we're and heard the cashiers talk bad about other employees that worked there. They were unprofessional and very loud were customer's can hear there conversation. This store is super sad in my book. There is no real rhyme or reason where stuff is located. The staff aren't friendly and I can never find anything the few times I stopped in. I have been shopping at Ross for several years. It was my go-to place to find household decorations and gifts. Since I have been shopping at Ross, I have never had to return anything so their return policy was never an issue... To make a long story short, I had to write an email to corporate to resolve my issue. After speaking with Ms. Ha the area supervisor, she clarified the store's return policy and claimed that the assistant manager did not fully understand the return policy. She put me in touch with the night manager, Daina. These two women handled the situation professionally and gained back my business. They assured me that they would speak with the other customer service agents to ensure that they are professional in handling returns. (If you guys must know, I returned a defective whistling kettle and the CSR kept repeating (loudly and in a belittling tone) her interpretation of the store's return policy, which caused a small scene since there was a line at the cashier station. I don't get embarrassed easily, but I got embarrassed. So embarrassed that I had to write to the corporate office). Luckily, the corporate office was professional and were quick to resolve any issues caused by their one employee, who almost cost them one of their long-time customers. If anyone has experienced bad service from an older (45-60), heavy set, African American, woman with a bad attitude, you should write down her name and report her to corporate. Anyone who cannot speak to others with decorum should not work in customer service. read more

Found a couple of things at this location. I was surprised that they did not have any summer clothes out for children.

I had a horrible experience this morning when I was returning my shoes that I purchased the day before. The shoe's that I bought did not fit once I got them home and cut the string that was holding them together. I got to the store and went to go try some more shoes on, and I could not tell if they fit or not because they to were all strung together. I went to the front and the associate told me she would have to ask her Manager. Manager told me no that she could not do it!!? I said you have to so I can see if they fit. Well it took some convincing and she finally cut them apart so I could make my exchange. The manager "Megan" gave me the # so I could complain and I said ok! I'll call and complain and never shop in tis store again! Horrible customer service!!!! read more

I feel very bad for my mother the fact that her shopping experience at this Ross store took an unexpected turn. I took my mother to this store location 1/15/2014 as she requested. I haven't done my shopping at this store location for a while due to reason being there is this woman(Ethiopian lady in customer service counter) that work there was an ex-coworker, I was the top seller then she was not. I been coming to this store for a while way before she started working there. The day I first saw her working that day I set aside my differences because I was there supposedly out enjoying my day shopping; it turned out to be an awful day the same feeling I am receiving today 1/15/2014. It suppose to be a family affair unfortunately 1) the service was not there 2) very unfriendly 3) the staffs gave us cold shoulders 4) we were mistreated (they talks to us as if we were not there). Moving forward, I do not want to go back to this store and to any of Ross's store even if am there shopping at Target or Lowe I will make sure to avoid this particular store. I am sorry Ross I do not allow this happen to me nor my family ever again therefore I give 1star out of my generousity. read more

I used to have a good time there but today I came there with my friends, when we tried the shoes on and the staff there was really rude. She just stared at us and whenever she went by, she just put the shoes on the shelf strongly in front of us. Then she told another staff to remind us to put the shoes back to the shelf. But, the problem is we already put those shoes we didn't want back on shelf, and the left was what we were trying and considering. Moreover, her behavior was really rude when we first came to the shoes area. It seems like we were annoying her or something. Then when we checked out, that woman didn't want to check us out then she left another women did that. I am really want to complain to the manager about that women's behavior!!! read more

Today, Jan. 2, 2017 I went to the Ross store at 9:45am on S. Plano Road in Richardson to purchase queen size sheets for my son. I had just left work and figured this would be a good time to shop while everyone is still sleeping and indeed there was maybe 3 other people in the store. I entered the store and was greeted by the security guard, I walked to the back of the store which was VERY dirty, Items on the floor, items not stocked and total disarray within the store. I found my items and headed to the cashier, there was only one cashier in attended with is of course expected that early. However, when I tried to pay for my items the cashier (name Gabbie) tells me to wait. Ok I waited, while you took and placed security tags on three pairs of shoes (very slowly I may add). So I said to her, "I think you can complete that task after you finish ringing me up" especially since there was someone else waiting in line. She ignored and continued, I finally got my items paid for and was not given a thank you for shopping nothing. I then spoke to the manage about Gabbie's behavior and that was immediately dismissed. If you want to shop at a Rose store this is NOT the one. This is the third time I have gone to this store and notice the rude behavior of the cashiers, the lack of cleanliness of the store and the total disregard for professionalism. read more

Horrible experience. Never have I felt the need to post a bad review but today was an exception. My mom and I were both in line to checkout and she went ahead of me to buy her clothes while I stayed back in the line for a next available cashier and when she was nearly done , my mom gestured for me to go over there so I did and the lady who was working the register yelled for the next person in line-which was me. I barely had got to the register when she got startled and i guess she thought I skipped the line because she was saying (and I quote) "Where did you come from? *talking to the lady in line behind me*: Sorry, give me a minute, I don't know she just came up on me out of no where" . I was repulsed and so I replied "She's my mom, I was in line and now I'm here. That was so rude of you" and she did not say anything back to me. Told me to grab my receipt and THREW my bad over the counter. I heard how she greeted the next customer and that pissed me off even more "Hi, how are you?" .. When I didn't get any of that. read more
