Once you check out you have to stand in line with your items and wait for a staff to check your receipt and give you a bag. I know they don't want people to steal but they should have someone in that area watching the Self check out and not have guest standing in line waiting for a bag. Came for a return item. No speed line for return items. Has to be in line with all customers with only one casher. More than 50 people in the line. About already 30 minutes on it. It's ridiculous. Because they had opened 4 self checking they don't open more casher. We see lot of employés doing nothing . I hate this store . DON'T recommend this address. Tumbleweeds blew by as I entered. Heard "Hi, welcome to Ross!" But couldn't pinpoint where the ghost man was who shouted it. I hightailed it to what was laughingly called the "Home" section. I was looking for dish soap. I know, but I really hate Walmart. And this store was literally right next to where I was at, I feel your judgment eyes as you're reading. Anyway, there was lighter fluid, and some sort of degreaser but no dish soap back there. So I was going to leave. But then, on my way out I decided to walk through that maze thing that they tried to do, like TJ Maxx but got all wrong. And then I looked all the way over and saw a mini wall of shampoo and cologne. I've come here a couple times but only for inexpensive electronic/cell phone accessories. Don't sleep on them! I also fancy a gourmet treat or two . The cashiers have been friendly, and I believe I even sold one of them on one of my purchases. This section is small (to the left upon entering), but I've found what I was looking for every time. Price is reslly reasonable and quality isn't low. No complaints. Staff is friendly too...even around the holidays. Ross typically has great home decor deals too. Haven't browsed this yet at this location. They also typically have a large dress selection. I would look through the dresses, but I kind of stopped once a niece who lives in a different state had the same exact dress that I did...from Ross. Wow. read more

So i wanted to try on a pair of pants and out of the blue this lady comes up and tells me to hang the pants up she didnt tell me why. So i say but i need to try them on, she says hang them up, so i reply that doesn't make sense how will i try them on if i hang them up. Finally she says she has to hang them up to check the pockets then give me a number, then when i am done hang them up to check the pockets. I came out i hung them up and she asks if i wanted to keep them i responded nope walked away. When I see Ross, not sure why but I already know I need to go in with half expectations. I think that's been the general mindset ever since my teen years, and I'm still seeking that one that will put me in my place, but for now half expectations or not I'll still shop at one once in a blue moon. Came here looking for a couple dresses for Vegas at a bargain price, generally why I'll seek out a Ross. When you need those types of clothes that you don't think you'll find another time to wear them and if you do it wont be that often. I scored and found two! The store appearance was disorganized and slightly messy, which can be a huge turn off and with my OCD personality makes me slightly annoyed, but patience is everything right? Service was never much to want nor ask for here, in fact everyone looked like they had a bad taste in their mouth, that being them working at Ross. Sure enough, I found many dresses that were similar to what Marshalls sells, but at a cheaper price (and a bit lower quality and style). The store was clean and organized. I have a love hate relationship with this place. On one hand, the prices are good depending on what you're looking for. Basic things like belts, socks, pants, underwear etc, there's no reason to pay huge prices for the same thing anywhere else. On the other hand, this place is a disaster area. There aren't nearly enough people working here because it takes 30 minutes to check out some days. There's usually only two cashiers for a packed store. There's trash and merchandise all over the floors, children screaming and destroying the half of the store that is actually in order, and sometimes you'll find something you really wanted, and you'll find its already been torn open or broken. Ugh. So why shop here? Because if you can find what you're looking for here, the price makes it worth it compared to most anywhere else you'll go. read more

This Ross is a little cluttered and unorganized. It's worse at night and during the holidays. The security staff usually greets me at the door when I walk in. I went with my sister New Year's Eve during the day, and the line was long but moved quickly. The guy at the register said, "Next!" before his current customer's transaction was done, so I got behind them. He wasn't even ready. He had to break a $100, but there was no change in the register. I had to wait longer for another cashier. My sister got something that was missing a belt and had a snag. She asked her cashier for a discount, and the cashier told the other employee what my sister wanted. I think she was an asst. manager or something. Her cashier was being rude about it as if my sister was demanding she get a discount cause she's too cheap to afford it full price! She works and is a grad student. They said they couldn't give discounts and that you have to buy it as is. The cashier had rang that item first, so my sister just went ahead and got it. If that were me, I would've just said to take it off, and if she had to ring everything up again, OH WELL. I get that some people still steal from there, but really, who can't afford Ross?! If anything, she'll just return it when she goes back to Denton. The only good deal I found that day was a beautiful Adrianna Papell gown for $30. It's always a hit or miss at Ross. There are better locations with nicer items. You just have to take the time to look through the chaos. read more

This is the Ross that is closest to my house, so it is visited most often. There are other stores which seem to be nicer and have better selection. Still, this one is not too bad. It is in a good area, located near Kohl's, Michael's, and Famous Footwear. Service here leaves a lot to be desired. The staff does not seem very friendly or have the best customer service. Lines can be long at times depending on when you go and the cashiers do not seem to be in a hurry to get people through the line. We still use this location though because it is convenient more than anything else. They usually have what you are looking for and the store has a variety of options. We buy a lot of our kid's clothes here as they outgrow them so fast. No since paying full price for something that will be worn 2-3 months at best. read more

This store has gone downhill big time. My mom and I shopped for clothes here yesterday. We couldn't believe how rude the employees were. It felt like you were guilty until proven innocent! They have multiple security officers staring you down and when you go to try on clothes they rudely tell you to put them on a rod to count them and you can't bring any other clothes in.. I asked what I was supposed to do with the rest of my clothes and she said find a cart to put them on and leave it out in the store? Then as we're checking out the cashier tells my mom to take the clothes off the hanger...isn't that your job? And then screams "NEXT" before my mom even paid! read more

I will never come to this location again. I have been here four times and each time I was followed by security. What did I do to warrant this ? I guess my skin. Why do your store employees assume I will steal because I black? I usually only come in with a wallet and keys, so please tell me where I would stuff merchandise. Horrible horrible horrible customer service. I recently had surgery and am walking with a scooter because I can't put weight on my foot. I needed assistance to get something off the top shelf and the girl I asked to call someone for help told me she can't use her walkie talkie to call for help. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?! She told me to walk around until I find someone else and ask for help. I flat out asked her to clarify that she was stating they can't use them for customer service and she said no. I mean it's Ross so what do you expect...but I've never witnessed a Ross like this. First, let me say I love that once you walk through the door the first employee (loss prevention) greets you and then the cashiers follow "welcome to Ross" that's why I'm giving one star. Oh and the fact that they did have some pretty good items in there and the organization of items was perfect. What I did not like is the fact that the bathrooms and even dressing rooms are DISGUSTING! Let's start with the restroom...they have a sign-in sheet to show who has cleaned the restroom but obviously they just been signing and not cleaning. Pee and even SHIT on the toilet. It was sickening and I can't believe a restroom looked like that, let alone a women's!!! Now the dressing rooms...dirty ass mirrors and walls. You can see where people been wiping boogers, dirty hands, even blood. I witnessed somebody make two lines and the cashier let it be known there was only one line and that customer would have to wait. But when it was my turn I notice a lady make a second line and she skipped me. The cashier didn't say anything so I walked to the counter stating I was next and the cashier kind of had an attitude about it. Ross isn't that bad to be honest. It's actually one of my favorite places to shop. I've been going to this store for a while and they have some really good deals. What other are saying about it being disorganized and messy are true but their merchandise is pretty good. I found Michael korrs high tops for $50 when normal was about $100. Didn't get them but I mean it was pretty cool. I also bought my prom dress here. $20 and the dress was so beautiful! I've never seen anything like it. It doesn't look like the typical prom dresses you usually see but they also have those. This place has so many good stuff you just have to search for it. I saw a dress at Macy's and went to Ross and found the exact same dress for much less. This place has amazing designer bags for a great price and really nice dresses as long as you look for them. The shoes are nice too. The men's section isn't too great though. Well in my opinion. I've looked there for good clothes for my boyfriend and none of them are his style. A lot of them are really big and he is pretty skinny. Luggage are really nice and worth the price too. Overall you just have to be patient when looking for good things. My sister who flew in from the Philippines really liked this store and so did my uncle from Canada. Be aware that the lines can get pretty long and that when you aren't even done paying the cashier will call next customer and that is because they are trying to get people checked out as fast as they can. read more

I don't shop here very often but I thought for some home good items I would give it a try. I had bought two large decorative pillows dog treats and a few other items. After I purchased my items and was trying to take my things out of the car, I realized that the shopping carts couldn't go out of the store. I asked if somebody could assist me with the items to my car, I'm temporarily disabled. I was told no, nobody could help me out of the store. I could not get the things out without making two different trips. So I had to return my items because I could not get them to my car. When I was returning the items I mentioned to the young man that all I needed was help out to my car. No apology, just said "can't do it". I think they need to get on the ball with their customers with disabilities. read more

I like Ross but this particular store is full of idiots!!! My phone was stolen by a cashier not even 5 ft from the so called LOST PREVENTION LADY!! I had to find my phone cover, which was 2 FEET on the other side of this blind idiot. No one in the store offered to call the phone or offer to help. To make matters worse no one knew the number to corporate office, so I had to look it up and make a police report after I got home. I hope they shut this poor excuse of a store down because people should not have to spend their hard earned money and receive such bad service and by reading these other reviews nothing seems to change this behavior because they obviously don't care!! read more

One day I was there when they opened and I could see and hear the manager literally screaming at this young man who was an employee. She was right in his face and I could see that he was trying so hard not to loose his temper. I waited around awhile and when I seen him leaving the store I asked him what happened. (this young man has helped me out many times when I was looking for something) He told me of how the management is prejudice toward men, especially white men, (almost all of the employees are Hispanic woman) and that no matter how hard he tried she would disrespect him by screaming at him from across the store, but when it came to the woman she was very polite when correcting them. I called the district office to voice a complaint as a customer because I witnessed this myself and thought it inappropriate. Nothing was done and I received no phone call to follow up. I will never shop the again and I ask anyone who has seen this to do the same read more
