Yikes! Went in to see if they had nice looking sparkling wine grade bottles n right up front near the jewelry. They had two types of sparkling bubbly waters. I chose these for the flip tops actions also the price was at $3.99 which these bottles tend to be higher in value in brewing supplies shops. I chose to just take this n leave sense the store was getting bombarded n there was nobody in the line. So here's my 3 star experience, it should be lower but i feel for the staff during the holidays when everything is freaking crazy n the tempers are high AF. Ya'll ever seen that episode of undercover boss? The one about the candle n holiday decorations store? Yeah.... Yep yep. Listen I'm not gonna waste my time putting the cashier on blast on here. They were obviously not having a great day. But i will tell you this. Not coming back, maybe after the holidays. Maybe n only if i bring my elders cuz they like the store. Me? Just me? Nope. My first 5 seconds interactions with the cashier were; "i'll take ya, just wait a moment" i stop midway in case someone else opens up sense they were already busy with something. Without skipping a beat they adds "it'll be 6 seconds" n immediately in a rude manner scolds me "don't you dare start counting!" im like 43 not 12. I don't waste my time being rude to nobody ever. It's a mix of my catholic upbringing, being raised by my grandparents and common decency. I used to work in stores like these as a teen. Never ever lost my temper. Im more of the humor and shenanigans type. A "Rogue" or "Cat Girl" for my nerd folks. Frowns n scowls don't sell. Joy, content and Fun safe environments create better sales n keeps people coming back. Believe me i been called horrible things to my face n i was able to grab that cannon ball in mid flight n turn it into roses. People have bad days n the best weapon u got already comes included in your face. Nice little smile n a hint of spice. Thats it, thats all you need to make it through the day. If it ever gets old? Get some hobbies or find something new to fall in love with every time it gets meh. No? There's literally a bar in the same parking lot lol. So why a three though? It's what they said afterwards that was my "Hell naw" moment. "If you would've counted!? I would cut your pinky n your toes off" they gave off unhinged smile n I didn't return mine. I was not impressed, it's not my energy to wish such horrible things to people cuz at the end of the day? It was their fault to let people come to them n then make em wait when they haven't even finish their current task. Either finish the task n then reset before every interaction or put it aside and focus on the great costumer support moment. They asked me if it would be funny to cut people's toe n pinky... I tried not being a cunt n coldly replied as calmly as i could mustered; "HELL NO, why the hell would that be funny!?" They piped down n kept interacting with the other cashier. They didn't even offer a bag, wrap, not even a; "thank you for shopping" or at least drop a recovery bs moment like; "sigh, I'm just kidding, just a little stressed out. Have a nice day" nothing crazy but humanizing yourself n a little "retraction" in the unsettling event. If this would've been someone else!? You would've been blasted down in center. I know people have hidden battles n suffer in silence. I do to n refuse to bring my baggage to work. *Dear supervisors, do not fire this person. Just remind them of creating Professional n positive experiences to all guest. maybe a nice incentive for the best customer Positive supporters get like .... Apple bees? Pizza? no need to punish them. Coaching n motivating the crew is way better option. read more

I have to give this experience 3 stars, and I'll tell you why. It was a Thursday afternoon and all they had was 1 cashier. The line kept getting longer and longer. She called for assistance at the checkout counter at least 2 times while I was in line. I felt really bad for her because she was doing a great job trying to move the line along. She did the best that she could under the circumstances. The management at this store need to come out and assist if no one else is available. There was an employee stocking the area where you form the line with useless crap while all of us were waiting. Maybe he's not trained in checking people out. Train him! It was ridiculous! Other than that, the store is one of the newer ones in the area. It still remains neat and organized unlike the one near the mall. I'd go back to browse but I'm not sure if I want to wait in that line again. Some people walked out. No bueno. read more

I'll give this location three stars mainly because it was stocked pretty well BUT that after buying hundreds of dollars of merchandise, I had to go get my car and pull it up to the entrance because the carts can't leave the premises!! We had two carts of bought items and a stroller carrying my child....no one was around to assist either. There was no security, which was odd for a Ross. They all usually have a security guard. As we were cashing out there were only two registers open on Saturday! No bueno! A third register eventually opened up but the line extended way out. The store seemed pretty clean, and like I said pretty stocked! The parking lot was pretty full but there were spots open by the bank. My suggestion is to allow the carts to leave the store or offer help to people who buy a lot of goods/can't carry their goods and help them to their car! read more

I'm new to the area, so I asked around about which Ross has the best selection of clothes. Specifically, plus sized clothes. I was told, the Valrico store. I am personally a Ross fanatic, so of course I visited as many in the area as possible, because I'm ALSO picky about clothes, and I've come to find that this location is indeed one of the better stores! They tend to have everything I'm looking for, and a decent selection at that compared to other stores in the area. This location is definitely our go to Ross! read more

I shop at this particular Ross quite a bit because their selection seems.to be the best in the area because of it being so organized. I do have to say that there is hardly ever more than 2 cashiers open even when there is a huge line. There has been multiple times ive walked out without buying the items I went there to get because of the crazy lines. I really don't want to waste my time and energy on unfavorable reviews like this one but I need to finally bring it to someone's attention! And truthfully it's a one star store, I just can't bring myself to click on the one star above! I'll preface, that this store is convienient to my house and the Publix I shop in so if I need a quick gift or a shirt for my kid, I head here first. And EVERYTIME I DO, I regret it! This place needs to evaluate their management structure from a district level, they're obviously not checking on the store, training the manager and coaching the staff. So terribly mismanaged. A. the store is always dirty. B. They are the most unfriendly staff, only greeting you (half the time) when you walk on since their sound a capacity count. C. They had 5 people cleaning the store last night and 1 cashier with 5 people in line at 9.30pm. D. the staff never has a sense of urgency or respect the customers time. E. staff would walk by me and not engage or greet me like many other stores do in this area. F. the cashier's ball up your clothes instead of nicely folding it in your bag. I ALWAYS have to refold it so it doesn't look like I sat on it on the way home before giving my kids the shirts I just bought them. Last night, more notably, after I gave the store loss prevention person a look, a cashier finally came to help the other cashier, after I waited behind 3 woman with full shopping carts. She asked how I was and I said annoyed and then she dropped it. So for future reference, when a customer tells you they're annoyed, they obviously have something they want to say, engage them!!! Then she proceeded to ball up my 2 dress shirts, adding fuel to the first as I clearly already pointed out I wasn't happy. I tried to return a rug that I really loved because my IRobot was getting tangled on it. I didn't have the receipt and the front lady, floor supervisor who deals with returns said that it was not returnable because it had been used and had hair on the bottom (I have a cat, off course anything on the floor will have hair). I have returned things here before with and without receipt. I throw this item's receipt away because I was sure I was going to keep this rug. The rug was in perfect conditions. She was just trying not to be helpful. Costumer service is pretty bad and I am not going back to this store ever, and that would be my advice to anyone I know and whoever reads this review. read more

This location is smaller than most but good options. I visited this place on a Saturday, the parking situation was a bit hectic. I went around 3 times before being able to find a spot. I didn't feel it to be crowded until check out. The location is maintained very clean and organized. Even with a receipt bras are not returnable. Ask the sales associate if they are and they will say yes. When you return, they refuse. May Amazon take you out for sure. If something doesn't fit, you are stuck with the item. It is the principal. A whole 8.00. The point is, Inconsistency from one employee to another. Bad business for a retail store. read more

I have been fortunate enough to find some great deals on designer items at Ross. I was excited when this store opened in late 2012. I was there on opening day and found a great deal on a Calvin Klein handbag. Since then I have not found anything! The store is clean and well organized but does not have near as much merchandise as the other Ross stores in the Tampa Bay area. read more

I lost my boyfriend credit card in the store-earlier today and I'm extremely sure the worker in the isle with me and my best friend picked it up . When I asked SECURITY he told me the color of the card before I even told him the color . I left them my boyfriend number and later had my boyfriend call they told him to come in a reclaim it. I also spoke to the security guard outside and he told me they had the card but couldn't tell me much , fast forward my boyfriend left work to come get his and I came to pick it up and they said the worker who found my card didn't exist , the security personnel didn't exist , and that we never called. Manager had antagonizing us the entire time , they were no help. MANAGER WAS EXTREMELY RUDE AND SO WAS THE OTHER "worker " who came up to ask me the what was the issue . My boyfriend came with his ID and still refused to give it to him. Right before we left she said the I told the security guard it was a blue capital one credit card when I never told him details, I had only asked if they found a card. The guard himself told me they pull this all the time. I hope the manager looses her job , this was the worst interaction I've ever had a store. BTW they said no cards were turned in but they had a STACK THEY HAD TO LOOK THROUGH. the security himself told Don't like toreturn items to customers and it happens all the time , this management if you can even call it that is disgusting. It took us getting visibly frustrated and upset for the manager to even "talk to workers in the back" and she didn't even try to look at security tapes. What a sad excuse for management , i never felt so belittled and unhelped they literally made it seem like we were lying about every aspect of the situation and were wasting there time. It's hit or miss here. It's a decent size store, but regional management should really consider giving this place more inventory.
