Nobody acknowledged it, nobody offered a replacement. The brisket had the texture of a roast that had been cooking for thirty minutes. Tough, underdeveloped, and nothing close to what brisket should be. Beyond that, the overall experience hit every low note. Staff checked in on nobody, the space is tired and worn, and the general atmosphere felt like maintenance stopped being a priority years ago. The love for the food left a decade before.

Furthermore, they also have daily rotating sandwiches and soups such as the grilled pimento cheese sanwich, tuna salad warp, chicken meatball alfredo sandwich, broccoli cheese soup, clam chowder, and smoked sausage kale soup. Not only does McKenzie's provide a new and unique menu every week, they also get all of there ingredients fresh from the local market which is a huge plus in my book. They only purchase a set amount of ingredients and more often than not, the meals are sold out if you did not preorder your meal ahead of time for pick up. I really enjoy ordering from McKenzie's and it definitely earns the coveted 5-star rating.
