We stopped in because it was convenient to parking off Main and Second. They offer some sort of tour but I was shopping for souvenirs for some friends. I did, however, see a family paying for the tour in the back of the store while I was there. The selection includes T shirts, funny mugs, shot glasses, stickers, lighters, fake alien IDs etc. I cannot speak for the content of the tour, but the items were cheap souvenirs that were cheaply made. Don't get me wrong, I got a couple of good items for a very reasonable cost, but had to expand my search to other places because the selection was fairly small. I was also looking for cheaper items, so that wasn't a slam on them- someone has to balance out the overpriced places. Like many touristy places in New Mexico, there is no air conditioning so it was stifling and uncomfortable. Service was a bit awkward, I felt like I was being stared down the entire time I was shopping and then there was very little talking while I was checking out, though she did thank me after I paid. Maybe the creepy vibe is intentional and good for business because of the tour? I'm not sure. Could have been an off day due to the heat. To be completely fair, this was a 3 1/2 star experience, not just 3 stars. Since I see the other reviews are higher and mention the tour is only $2, I would be up for stopping back in and checking out the tour when we pass through next year. Maybe a more comprehensive visit will be more impressive and I can update the rating at that time.

Very cool museum if you're retired military get a discount for your whole family said that was very nice they have a map or everyone's from the in United States so i put Lone Pine California. So this museum is kind of cool icon talks about h*** they found this weird space ship in someone's backyard near Roswell and it was a hush hush and a then and they think aliens are something that landed there

The people who I assume were the owners working the counter were so hilarious and friendly. Couldn't stop chatting us up and I'm not real good at wrapping things up with chatty people. The space walk was definitely worth the $2, you can tell someone really put in a lot of effort and creativity in depicting some of the history behind UFO's in the area. It's not a very long tour so take your time, they let you take all the photos you want. The merchandise in the rest of the store was reasonably priced. They don't take a charge card for anything under $5. They had a cool guestbook you can sign where you can see that people have visited this place from virtually all over the world. You will see where I signed: aliens are the shiznit! I picked up an Area 51 security badge, think I'll get to use it before government agents gun me down? hmmm, probably not but it's good fun.

Visited this place for UFO festival. Cool walk-through black light exhibit. Neat installation overall. Fee $5. The staff and creator was very nice and welcoming.

Total tourist trap! Cheesy, with no redeming qualities. A waste of time and $2 for the entrance fee.

Not counting our hotel , or shopping or eating , this was the activity we spent the most money on…read morein our time in Roswell, and it was by far the least worth it. I was really taken aback because of all the good Yelp reviews. I don't know if I am missing something or I came on a bad day but this is definitely not worth it in my opinion, especially when there are so many other fun things to do close by. When you enter The Alien Zone there is a tiny gift shop in the front and the girl behind the counter was watching a movie on her laptop. We asked for two tickets and paid $17.32. She pointed to the curtain and said "You're fine to go back and check it out. You can touch all of the props and take pictures." Once we walked through the curtain, I thought we were getting pranked. There was a wall full of toys like aliens and rats and spiders but they are all behind netting that has been zip tied together, so you can't touch any of it. Then you see a few displays with aliens that look like they are left over from some old escape room or something. Underwhelming is an understatement. We figured since we had already paid, we might as well try to have some fun, but it is so dark in the room that It's difficult to get a good photo. There are only two rooms and once we got into the second room it got really really warm. At the very end they have a lab coat that you can put on for photo ops I guess but we were literally sweating, so we just left. If you are reading reviews to decide which things are worth doing and which things are not, definitely put this on your not list. The UFO spacewalk is just a block or two away, it's less expensive, and way more fun. There are also plenty of alien photo ops all around the city, including the visitor center, that don't cost a penny.
