You don't exactly stumble into Roswell Spacewalk expecting NASA-level realism you go because you're ready to space it up and have a good time. And I'll tell you what... they've got the sci-fi sounds humming, lights dancing, and just enough weirdness to make you feel like you took a wrong turn somewhere past Earth. Is it a little generic? Sure. But if you walk in with the right attitude and maybe a drink or two whispering bad decisions in your ear it turns into a pretty dang fun ride. It's the kind of place where you catch yourself grinning for no good reason and thinking, "Well... this ain't right, but it ain't wrong either." And look, I'm just gonna say it there were a lot of folks in there enjoying themselves, good energy all around, and yeah... easy on the eyes, not gonna lie. The whole thing felt light, playful, a little goofy but in a way that works. It's not trying to change your life, it's just trying to give you a good time, and buddy, sometimes that's all you need. By the time you walk out, you're not asking if it was perfect you're just nodding your head like, "Yep... that made the list."

This is definitely the best activity in the downtown area! We had such a good time we walked through twice! That's fine by the way, because your wristband allows you to go through as many times as you like for the day. Plus, it's super affordable. Only $6 per person. They also run the AC so it's nice and cool and comfortable inside. They have some really nice art here as well. Unique and priced reasonably too. I highly recommend stopping here for a little out of this world fun!

This was a cool spot to check out with my family while we were in town. The first little hallway they set up was fantastic, I thought they did a great job with the black lights and the little cow/spaceship floating around in space, plus the alien doing the anatomy scan was funny. I also loved the second big room you walk into that looks like a big lit up cave, I would 100% add a room like that in my house to chill in. It didn't take long to get through the entire thing especially as we got lucky and there weren't a ton of people when we went. (We arrived shortly after they opened), I would say we were inside for fifteen to twenty minutes because we took our time walking through and taking photos/videos together. The gift shop is small but there are some fun things to look at like prints and trinkets to take home. They also gave us a little pamphlet to take up the street to the Toy Space Museum for $2 off per person which is perfect because we had already planned on visiting that spot right after visiting here.

First stop, already blacklight goodness

Very cool blacklight experience, it's owned by the same person as the Space Toy Museum and we liked that museum so much we decided to come here the next day. The big tip we got was to ask his nephew or niece for the toy ray guns to take pictures of and it made it more fun. I love the design, many of the simple graphic elements are also found at the Space Toy Museum, especially at the UFO control panel right at the beginning. The experience is a bit like going through a haunted house that is alien themed though there are 0 jump scares. You'll find some hidden and not so hidden pop culture aliens along the way. The entrance and exit is in the same spot as the gift shop, would recommend this as a unique place to take pictures that really up-plays the cheesy alien history of this town.

This is a cool place but it is very short lived. You are done with the whole experience in less than 50 steps. If you are into blacklight environments, you will definitely enjoy it, as there are decorations and things hiding everywhere. I guess they do a good job at creating the feeling of being in a different planet. There is an area with swirls that made me dizzy, but other than that, I didn't really experience much else. You can walk it over and over if you like. It is for sure more fun with kids.

A cool little spot for the hold family. $6 to enter takes about 15 minutes to go through the hold thing. Lots of fun.

This little experience was actually soooo cool and refreshing! It was interactive, made you feel like an adult kiddo, fun, affordable! Bring the family and kiddos here for a neon alien vibe experience! Definitely worth a stop if you're in the Roswell area!!!

Footprints to the door

Was a small building just off of Main Street. There were lime green neon foot prints leading to the door. Priced really reasonable plus you get a dollar off at the UFO toy museum. It only took about 10-15 minutes to slow walk thru. It's just more about the aliens than the actual Roswell incident. It's all lit with black lights and neon displays. Again you follow the footsteps thru it. It is dog friendly as well.

Loved all the neon aliens, monsters and glowing wall paint. The charge was $10. and you could walk around and take photos for as long as you want. It's a small space but cool for lots of glowing spooky photos! Also a small shop inside for alien themed gifts.

Best $6 per adult you'll spend in Roswell. It's the best kitchy fun blasting aliens! I think this is such a clever idea for the downtown area. Perfect photo ops. And the attention to detail inside was great. The gift shop area had cool little souvenirs too. And awesome local art you could buy. I loved it!

This place is a lot of fun. My five-year-old and I saw it featured on a number of YouTube videos. He was super excited to go here and shoot aliens. (The videos indicate kids get to use toy space guns to protect themselves.). Well, when I asked I was told they don't have them for borrowing at this time. But, they would happily sell them, for $11 or more. You guessed it, I bought one. When you pay, you get a wristband that allows you in and out privileges for the day. You can come back as many times as you want. So, the value is pretty good. The whole family seemed to like this spot...

This little shop of Alien horrors is a cool walk through black lite with kids and adults AND Dogs. Yep, bring your pup! My Charles was totally unimpressed with anything but the sniffs, but maybe your dog will be more responsive. Wouldn't it be cool to see how he might react? If not, still fun for $6/adult! Friendly service

Too short of an attraction. It's like a maze but no scary things. Love the colors. It's fun overall.

To kick off 2026, I must write about the Anderson Museum of Contemporary Art in Roswell, NM…read more This place is outstanding. Allow me tell you all the reasons why... First, it's free admission. Free parking too. Donations were welcome. Second, this behemoth of a building is home to the Roswell Artist-in-Residence (RAiR) Program, founded by the now deceased businessman and fellow artist Don Anderson. There are - to my recollection during our brief introduction on November 29, 2025 - hundreds of artists that apply every year. They dwindle that number down to 6. The artists hailed from all over the world. Third, the artwork is fascinating. There was no limit to the use of mediums either. Each piece is labeled with the artists name, their country of origin, what year they were born, the years they were RAiR, the title of the artwork, the year of its completion, and the mediums used. My middle school daughters and I thoroughly enjoyed room after room of inspiration. They talked about a few of the pieces for several days afterwards. And to think... this opportunity resides in the flat desert of southeastern New Mexico.

The Anderson Museum was such a highlight of my lengthy road trip across the country. I was just…read moresearching Google maps to see what there was to do in town, and came across this museum. I didn't really have any specific expectations going in, but this place honestly blew me away. I've been to some of the biggest art museums in the world and been less impressed. Pound for pound, I don't think any other art museum has had so many pieces that I found compelling. If you are in the area, I can't recommend this place enough. It may be a relatively small place compared to the likes of The MET, but this museum holds its own.

BrickTown: Alien Attack - Briefing...

BrickTown: Alien Attack

LEGO display...and scavenging fun…read more BrickTown is part store, part museum, and total distraction from the day. You could do a historic space flight from the point of the aliens in '47 or the moon landing in '69; but we just did BrickTown. MacKenzie did a fantastic job of explaining our options. We sat in a room to watch an instructional video, and we were let loose to view the exhibit. Also, available are various skill levels of scavenger hunts that will make the exhibit viewing way more involved and enjoyable. Of course you can skip the scanveger, but it will make the museum a little tedious. The first room you'll see various aircraft, but the Roswell Air Show scene has a lot, aliens included, of course. The room leads into another with the halls lined with incredible LEGO Dot interpretations of the Mona Lisa Starry Night, and the Last Supper. You will then see a Pirates Cove scene and various famous buildings. I thought this 1-meter Titanic rendition was pretty good...even with the iceberg ahead. The coup de grace, is actually the interconnected scenes in the main gallery. Everything else gets lost here. You have an amusement park scene, connected to an apartment scene, connected to a park that is getting overrun by an alien attack - led by the biggest alien mother ship on the planet? The mother ship is blasting a huge laser downward and splits a camper can. There are moments of humor here as in the midst of their attack there aliens are assimilating to the activities. Towards the back you will see a Star Wars themed Xmas scene. Also, there is another bigger City themed Xmas display of events. I don't think this scene is permanent, but seasonal. If you love LEGOs you may want to drop in.

Visiting from out of state and running out of cheesy alien exhibits, we decided to stop in for a…read moremovie. First, I'm taking into consideration that this is a small town. Which usually means you don't have the best selection of theaters. And this particular theater isn't horrible. It's actually fairly clean and well kept. And the prices are somewhat less than other theaters. But it going downhill from there. Popcorn, sodas, and candy are still not cheap by any means. And everything is basically self-serve. Popcorn is dispensed from a huge glass box. Get your own butter. The popcorn was burned and stale. Fountain drinks were as expected. It's soda. The theater we were in did at least have updated and comfortable leather seating, which reclined. In the reclined position they were all loose. And felt as though you were rocking in the chair. For some reason, there is even a USB port in each seat. So you can keep your phone charged and make sure you don't miss a call or text during the movie. Clearly, sarcasm, but it's there, nonetheless. The theater was also poorly designed. Period. It's very narrow and long. There is a crazy amount of space between each row. Wasted space. Which further accentuates the fact that if in any other than the front two rows, feels as though you're super far from the smallish screen. Light protrudes from the entryway. The lights were not dimmed enough during the movie. Proving to be quite distracting for anybody in the back rows. Fortunately, we were able to move down a few rows to avoid what would have been an unbearable annoyance from the lights and tiny screen. Small screen combined with long narrow theater is not a good combo. Audio also wasn't great. Sounds like they were overdriving low-range PA speakers. Very bright and harsh sound from the horns. Surround effect was decent. There was some bass to be had; not bad there. Once again, I do get the small town theater expectations. But in the future, I'd just wait until we were in a better theater with a proper movie-going experience. Keeping in mind the reason why folks spend money on a movie in the first place is the experience.
