As a chain of affiliated medical offices you fully expect Rothman to lead with technology and they do. Register at the kiosk and remember you're a "guarantor" for payment and only when it suits them, a "patient." However, what really matters at an orthopedic office is how well they relieve pain... and believe you me the spider that bit my right hand left me in agony -- and not like Peter Parker superhero version shooting webs out of my wrists, careening through the Manhattan skyline. Two days after a visit to Dr. Daniel Fletcher my hand is once again under my control with rapidly reduced pain. This grateful "guarantor" says thank you and leaves five stars. read more

Doctor Raikin did a total ankle replacement for me and I am still walking. The last time I saw him I asked what the record was for one lasting. He told me the record was 18 years and that it was a man! Well I made it to the 18 years this past June!! Thank you all at Rothman for all that you did for me. if you are considering hip replacement, beware of Dr Schnell. He performed hip replacement on me. He botched the surgery and ruined my life. Constant pain every day and cannot walk. He is the worst. read more

Incredibly rude and neglectful. I received my treatment literally in the hallway between rooms.. was seen by Dr. Schek. The office staff allowed me to be seen and told me my insurance was okay only to find out when I was seen by orthotics that they did not accept my insurance for the whole appointment. They didn't answer my questions or even ask me if I had any, were rushing to get me through, and did not care about my needs. Got a second doctors opinion and they completely disagreed with what Schek had said, and when I brought it up I was told I "didn't receive treatment" rightly and that their opinion "didn't matter." So many wrong things about my appointment. Just don't really recommend Rothman in general because of their phone system and my other experience at Urgent Care! read more

Communication is absolutely horrible. 4 weeks to "read an MRI" of a mass is unacceptable. Even if you call the after hours phone number and ask to speak with your physician you will never get a call back I'm just telling you from experience. read more

I waited an hour before getting called then a few people that arrived 30 mins after me was seen by the same doctor before me so what's the purpose of scheduling. The system is just screwed and the doctor seems to be in a hurry to end my session. Now I remember, I was here before for a broken toe and after Ct scan and x-ray doctor said she can't do anything just let it heal by itself. Really! read more

I broke bones in both my feet in September. Dr. Shick was amazing and thorough. I felt cared for by her whole team, and she always answered my questions in depth and made sure everything was sound before moving me out of the boots. I wanted to do physical therapy at Rothman as well, and I scheduled an eval through a representative, who told me I would have to have two separate evaluations for each of my feet, 9 days apart, which seemed ridiculous to me--like scheduling separate gender reveal ultrasounds for twins. But at no point during this scheduling process was I made aware that I would have the eval and then not be able to be seen again for a MONTH and I would be on "standby" for any cancellations. They only have one physical therapist at the moment, and while she's fantastic and I would have loved to work with her, the wait time is ridiculous. I wish I had been made aware that I wouldn't be able to have a regular schedule immediately. I have ended up going to a different physical therapist in Ewing, who can see me 3x per week for 4 weeks as prescribed by my doctor. I just wish Rothman had been more transparent with their lack of appointments ahead of time. read more

I was a "regular" at Trenton Orthopedic Group for 10+ years. Previously, the waiting room was jammed, an unnecessary and time consuming measure of meeting with patients (at the back of the waiting room) and within earshod of many people, discussing medical conditions, medications, taking BP was by far the stupidest idea TOG ever had! It was a waste of time, unnecessary and violated Privacy. The wait time was usually well over an hour and your time with the doctor was literally 5-10 minutes. The place got the reputation of a clinic like setting whose main goal was to get as many people in and out. Then, after your 5 min doc visit, you had to wait 15 mins to check out. So, in the past from start to finish, 11/2 hrs to 2 hrs was not unusual. In addition, the staff just seemed miserable. Fast forward Rothman taking over. Slowly, there has been a vast improvement! Check in is efficiently completed on an ipad. Within 5-10 mins you are called to present your pic id, insurance and copay. The last time I was there, my wait was about 15-20 mins. I had xrays and then spent quality time with the doctor. I didnt feel rushed and all my questions were addressed. The doc did inject cortisone and we discussed other treatments. Truly, Rothman has totally turned TOG around 360° Its as if TOG was doing everything wrong, big brother came in and set the practice to work like cakework. Ive been to two other very large Rothman facilities, including Phila and Bensalem, where the wair time is extreme Kudos to Rothman for turning TOG into a reputable Orthopedic group. I have multiple Ortho conditions and needed to have a reliable practioner. I will be returning for my other conditions. IF you avoided Rothman because of TOGs poor reputation, give Rothman a try. read more

I was at the location in Mercer and was basically treated like I was a number instead of a patient to the point that I was left sitting in a waiting room to be bandaged after receiving an injection and the nurse left me sitting there because she THOUGHT that the doctor was not finished with me and I had to yell out to another nurse to be taken care of!!! If I had not yelled for help I would probably still be sitting there wondering what was going on!! read more

I never leave a bad reviews, but this was beyond bad. I waited 3 weeks for an appointment with Dr. David Surrey for the pain in my back & hip since December. I went to my Primary, Neurologist and never received any treatment. I am allergic to the medication Gabapentin which is usually the first line of treatment, referred to ortho for some relief, so I thought. I have been thru 24 weeks PT, no help. My Neurologist suggested seeing Rothman, I have seen Dr. Joshua Hornstein in the past excellent Physician, but to my surprise I was so disappointed by Dr. Surrey. Frist off waited longer than it took him to see me. with no one in the waiting room, now know why. He was rude and very dismissive. He performed a brief exam, suggested I may have a pinched nerve, comment what a shame I was allergic to Gabapentin, excused himself said he would be right back and never did. The medical assistant came back in handed me a script to get an MRI, said if I wanted to call to get results then I could. No appointment to return, no treatment plan, no courtesy what so ever. MRI shows valid lumbar deformities. Definitely deserved more of compassionate Physician than he was to me. Never going back to him, it's Physician like him give this Practice a bad name. read more

Rothman was a great place for service but my last visit I waited an hour past my appointment and my follow-up appointment was canceled because the X-Ray machine was down according to Rothman. They offered another location, but that would have meant more time off from work for me. Fast forward, had an appointment yesterday and the physician assistant was an hour behind time, while I could not wait a whole hour to be seen, and the office was crowded with people waiting to be seen. Also I was told because I had seen a physician assistant that's who I had to continue wit. Calling my insurance providers! The front desk staff overbook and are very unprofessional! the physicians should really consider their reputation are being ruined by the people they hire to make things more professional and accommodating! I have been a patient here for years. This is the first time I had an emergency and I couldn't get in to see the doctor that did surgery on that hand. I was told he doesn't take emergencies at the Pennington office. I guess the patients that live away from Hamilton NJ are not allowed to have emergencies. After a few hours I checked Yelp to see if they responded. Needless to say I got an appointment at 3PM the same day. At least the customer service department does a great job. I took a fall running down a trail at Blue Mountain. I could tell that my knee was not right so I made an appointment at TOG with Dr. Duch. The good doctor replaced my wife's ACL when she took a fall a few years back racing down the hill with me at Beaver Creek. The good doctor had her up and about in no time at all. After MRI and Radiology Associates Imaging the good doctor informed me that I had a slight tear in my MCL. Not to worry said the doctor - give it time and it will heal on it's own. Only good experiences with TOG and Dr Duch is the man if you run into knee issues. It is hard to get an appointment on the phone. I went to their web site and using the like "schedule an appointment online" and they were phoning me for an appointment in about an hour. read more

Waited six weeks for an appointment. My appointment was for 10:30 a.m. Arrived at 10:00 a.m. to fill out all necessary papers and health cards. My first appointment with this doctor. After all info was taken, I waited in waiting room for maybe 10 minutes. Called me into the little waiting room. Took off my sock and sneaker and sat until 11:45 a.m. Asked nurse why I wasn't being seen by doctor yet and her reply was that they had a new patient for 10:30 a.m. and my appointment was for l0:40 a.m. At this time I still had two patients ahead of me. Needless to say I was also a new patient. Finally after waiting one hour and 45 minutes, I said I was leaving and nurse asked me if I would like to reschedule. I told her the doctor was not God and that I was sure there were many good foot doctors I could see. Would not recommend this group to my worst enemy. MR read more

My husband has severe hip pain for many years. Finally it was time to do something about it. We made an appointment at TOG and within 1 week we saw a joint replacement specialist. These guys are very specialized so you get the best care for your problem. Dr. Saxena did my husbands hip replacement by the anterior approach and he walking out ot he hospital the following morning.
