Communication was good and the plumber even had to come twice because the water shutoff was in a part of the basement that was locked. I've had someone come to my home now 3 times to install a toilet, each time within 24 hours it's become unhinged again. The first visit was to fix an old toilet, they purchased a new one (fine), $1000 later and over a month out from that first visit I'm now stuck with a toilet that simply won't stay rooted down and am going to have to call another company to fix it because they keep sending the same technician to my home. Really not satisfied. Also my last appointment, the tech didn't show up for 2 hours- once I called, they said he was home sick, and they were just not planning to let me know? Over charged my dad's fiancee to fix a leak. Did not fix it. The tech NEVER opened the dishwasher which is not used and it had 2 inches of moldy water because the water valve to the dishwasher was leaking and broken. Took me two minutes to trouble shoot! Yet "experienced" plumber missed it? Supposedly replaced trap that was under sink and leaking. They are OLD discolored pvc. Charged 600 for a sloppy job. read more

I had sewer line work completed on April 28, 2026, at a cost of approximately $18,000. At the time, I was told the sidewalk restoration would be completed by the following Monday. Shortly thereafter, the project manager contacted me and asked for an additional two weeks to complete the work. As of today, more than a month later, the restoration work remains unfinished and I still do not have a scheduled completion date. My yard is torn up, the sidewalk has not been replaced, and I have been unable to get clear answers despite calling regularly for updates. The most frustrating part has been the lack of communication. Promised timelines have repeatedly come and gone, and my attempts to obtain status updates have largely been ignored or brushed aside. At this point, I am genuinely concerned that the restoration portion of the project is being abandoned. I understand that scheduling delays can happen, but customers deserve honest communication and follow-through. After spending $18,000 on this project, I expected a much higher level of service and accountability. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company. read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! They came out Sunday evening because we had a plumbing problem. The first guy couldn't unplug it so he called in the "manager" with the camera. Within 2 min we are told our main pipe has collapsed and will cost us $8000. Basically sale pitched to get us to sign the contract and we gave a post dated check for that Friday. Then Monday morning we decided to get a second opinion from 3 other plumbing companies at which no other cameras showed that our pipe has collapsed. All we had to do is the jetter and the line was cleared for $800!!!! If we just stayed with roto we would be out $8000 and our front yard dug up 7 ft under! No apology no nothing from roto! Avoid this company at all costs! I still can't believe they were going to charge our elderly relatives $13,000.00 to clean up their flooded basement. They called us today anxious and upset because of this high priced quote they got from them. The basement is small in size and it flooded because the sump pump failed. Our relative is a Veteran on a fixed income and 96 years old. We all know prices have gone up but to take advantage of people when they are desperate is totally unacceptable. Fairness and consideration is something this company lacks. We did our research and found another company that is far less than this totally inflated and frankly "rip off" amount. To the folks out there that need Plumbing and water cleanup, do your research first before calling this company. You'll save yourself money and anxiety. My encounter with Roto-Rooter for water damage restoration services was an utter nightmare from start to finish. Firstly, the bill I received was outrageous at $4,134, far exceeding the initial estimate and unjustified for the services provided. Upon reviewing the charges, it was evident I had been grossly overcharged for tasks either not performed or misrepresented for my case. After discovering flooding in my basement, I promptly contacted Roto-Rooter. Their plumber replaced a sump pump, which I paid $1,080 out of my pocket, draining a mere 3 inches of clean ground water. By this time there was no standing water on my basement floor. Then came the quote from Chris Flemming, their salesperson of water damage restoration service, estimating an additional $3,000 - $4,000 for complete restoration. However, the service didn't come until two days later due to their busy schedule. In the meantime, my friends and I handled much of the cleanup including vacuuming any residual water, pulling off and hauling away carpets, cleaning and reorganizing the basement. By this time, the only thing my basement needed was anti-fungal agent application and drying fans and dehumidifier to prevent mold growth. I communicated this with the roto-rooter salesperson, and he asked me to let them at least dry the basement. So I said Ok. When their team finally arrived two days later, they spent less than two hours on the job, and one of the guys came back within 24 hours and picked up all the fans leaving only a dehumidifier for another day. However, the next day I got the invoice, which was outrageously overcharged for services not provided or unnecessary, all while their own salesperson admitted to common overbilling practices right below the insurance cap. Moreover, despite initially agreeing to leave the dehumidifier on for several days due to high humidity levels, the service technician turned it off prematurely at the humidity level of 74%, potentially leaving my basement vulnerable to mold growth. When confronted, their response especially from Jason Menegaux was dismissive and inconsistent. In conclusion, my experience with Roto-Rooter was a complete letdown. From inflated billing to subpar service, I strongly advise seeking alternatives. Save yourself the trouble and find a company that values honesty, integrity, and customer satisfaction. read more

Our system got backed up where feces and toilet paper started coming up through our bath tube drain and basement sink. Morgan(tech #673) came out with in a hour of calling them. He identified and solved the problem in about a hour. He double checked everything and unclogged everything for us. He was very professional and knowledgeable with answering any questions.
