We dropped in Saturday around 5:30pm. The owner was pouring the wines and he explained the wines he poured. Tasting fee was $10 for 7 wines. Wished I could say I liked the wines. The Duet red blend was the best out of the 7 wines. Most of the wines smelled or tasted aged. It wasn't to our taste. They had live singer when we were there.

I stopped in here with a friend and had the best tasting of 6 wines for a VERY affordable price. AL was very kind and gave so much information with each wine he poured and turned the tasting into a wonderful experience and science lesson! We learned about the different areas each wine comes from and a bit on how they are created. Recommendations: EVERYTHING! My favorites were the Zinfandel, Cuvée, and the Chardonnay. All are very crisp and perfectly flavored with no heavy after tastes. Perfect for sipping and with meals. My friend and I ended up leaving with 3 bottles of wine each because they were TOO good. I'm so glad we came here and found this place. All of the wines were fantastic, even the ones I usually don't prefer (Al changed my mind about Zinfandel's!). This was such a lovely stop in downtown Saratoga. I highly recommend and I will most definitely be back to purchase Roudon-Smith wines as often as I can!

This was a fun tasting experience! They have 3 high top tables outside during this time. The wine tasting is $10 for 6 tastings. We tried a grenache blanc, chardonnay, pinot noir, tempranillo, a duet blend and a syrah. My favorites were the grenache blanc and syrah! The flavors of the syrah were bold and full bodied. I was pleasantly surprised with the grenache blanc because I am not that fond of whites overall but this was delicious and smooth. I liked the environment but would have loved an explanation of the different wines. It definitely makes the experience more personal and fun. At times in the beginning we were about to be given the next tasting when we hadn't finished the previous one (though we were told that we didn't have to rush but, still felt rushed haha). Despite that, I still had a nice experience. The owner came later and was very nice!

(Bonus points for being dog and toddler friendly) Our older toddler had a blast on her first real pony ride, even after taking a bit of a tumble when Max got spooked. The staff said this usually doesn't happen and were super apologetic. My baby girl was fine and took it like a champ. She still had lots of fun! On the wine tasting: Wines: Awesome! I ordered their white wine flight, the chardonnay and rose were standouts for me even though I tend to like sauvignon blanc profiled wine more. Service: Great too, the staff was attentive and friendly Snacks/food: Ok, so like other reviews have said...my only critique of the wine tasting experience was that the cheese, meats, crackers, olives arrived completely packaged with flimsy plastic utensils. I was expecting a cute charcuterie board; basically the "platter" presentation just saves me a trip to Whole Foods -- but if you bring your own food, they will banish you 5 feet away to the less comfortable bench tables. It seems like they don't have a kitchen license, which is the reason for the packaged food. That said, I think the provided olives could have at least been the pitted variety. Anyway, literal champagne problems Vibes: The wine tasting area was shaded, relaxing, and comes with a great view of all the pretty horses coming and going.

Overall, good value for a wine tasting and I enjoyed all of the reds (which is rare for me!)…read more Came here on New Year's Eve for an afternoon tasting and we were the only ones there! The outdoor heaters were nice on an otherwise gloomy day. We had a few whiffs of manure while riders would walk by, I guess that's expected. Usually I'm not a fan of reds, but the Test Pilot (all blends, grapes grown on the estate) blew me away! I just wish the pours were bigger, and staggered vs served all at once. As others have mentioned, the cheese plate didn't have the best presentation (basically packaged + paper plates) and the wines all came out at the same time vs a more interactive experience that I've had at other wineries.

Mount Eden is only open weekdays while Domaine Eden is only open weekends. They serve both wineries' wines for tasting. They have 5 tasting flights varying from $30, $40, $45, $60, and $65. 3 wines per flight and they pour a good portion. We got to try 3 different flights to share. Mount Eden Estate , Chardonnay, and Cabernet flight. All the wines were pretty good. Fruit forward and bold. Our favorites were the first Chardonnay , Pinot noir Tanaka project , and Cab from Mount Eden library. I believe it was 3 bottles purchase to waive a tasting fee. Pricey wines. There was only one male staff. He was friendly and made sure we had enough shade when the umbrella shade moved. You can bring outside food. Nice Mountain View.
