I really wanted to like this spot but I gotta say the drinks just were not that good for the price. If I'm paying over $20 for a craft cocktail it's gotta be just that... a craft. And sadly they tasted basic. The spot was cute but it was cold with air conditioning blasting, we all had to keep our big puffy coats on the whole night. Props to the restaurant manager who turned the air conditioner down which helped for a bit but then it got cold again after a little while. I should add that this was not summer time and it was cold and rainy out! The food was fine but nothing to rave about. The service was really slow. The manager was friendly but it took forever for us to get our orders in and for our drinks and food to arrive. When drinks finally came one of them was the wrong order ... so more waiting.

Love this place and will definitely be back! It's in old Bellevue and it's so chic inside. The guy who runs the bar/restaurant was so pleasant and clearly loves what he does. He made amazing drinks for my friends I and he provided us some history on how he chose the Brie cheese appetizer on the menu from his love of France, which by the was delicious! It had berries in it and the outer part of the Brie cheese was taken off, which made it easy to eat. I highly recommend going here!

My partner and I had a fun time. It was a Saturday night at 7pm. The Bar Manager Bobby introduced himself and after a conversation, he recommended cocktails and they were delicious. Try any of the Mezcal drinks! Bobby seems to really like his career choice and seems to be great at it. I will definitely be stopping by again.

Went for quick drink with friends after dinner in the area. There was live music, which we really enjoyed. The drinks were great, can't wait to try some other ones on the menu next time.

All style and little substance. In the last year I've been to many of the best cocktail bars in Seattle and Bellevue. Unfortunately, Rouge is not in the tier they think they are. The cocktails are way overpriced. They charged me $26 for Whiskey Sour. To be fair, it was a special seasonal version but in no way was it worth that price. It was ok. Even for half the price I would feel the same. The group of 5 I was with felt the same about their drinks. The service was also very slow. The food was pretty good.

Cute date spot in downtown Bellevue! bartender was super helpful when we asked him for drink recommendations. We like lighter and sweet drinks so we chose from the seasonal summer menu. Thought a bit pricey, cocktails were both delicious and aesthetically pleasing. Seats were very comfortable for lounging and talking, and the lighting and noise level were perfect for having good conversation.

My husband and I wanted to get out and enjoy a good lounge. We were not disappointed. I found this place on google and we thought why not. Located in Old Town Bellevue, it was east to find and I loved walking down the Main Street with all of the twinkle lights setup. We were seated in a corner booth, which we enjoyed. It was quiet and private and just had very chill, relaxing vibes. We initially just came for some drinks but they had some small bites and since we were loving our time there, we stayed and had our late dinner too. I enjoyed a couple of mock tails recommended by the manager or owner I assume, and he was incredibly helpful. It was passion fruit based he said and it was delicious. My husband is a Gin fan and although the green tea he was unsure about, he went with the Zen garden. He absolutely loved it. He ended up ordering 2 more before the night was done. Let me just say for a cocktail lounge, the food was absolutely satisfying. We may just go back for the food. It was that good. We started with the marinated olives and stuffed mushrooms. Both delicious and the mushrooms were filled with Boursin and Parmesan. Sooo good! Once we enjoyed that and had decided to stay we also ordered the steak bites, baked Brie, and creamy pancetta rigatoni. Omg all three were amazing. That rigatoni was one delicious pasta. My husband made little steak and Brie bites with the baguettes they provided. Last we finished off with the rum soaked bread pudding, and it was DRENCHED. You won't have a hard time tasting the rum lol. It was moist inside and a nice crust outside. We can't wait to return. We had a lovely night out, and this place is the perfect date night spot.

Great ambience, service and location. A nice place to go for a nice cocktail. I loved the espresso martini. I found the tropical negroni okayish

Open up the doors and step back into the jazz era. What a feast for the soul this place is. Oh, seriously, what a glorious place this is. I would love to know who has the eye for decorating this place ... and whose heart and soul was put into the making of this place, because they surely captured a slice of mine! The service was amazing, a fantastic great gatsby vibe (F. Scott Fitzgerald would be so proud!) and the drinks were stellar. I had the Josephine and loved every drop of it. I want to go back and try the whole menu. I didn't try their food. The wait staff went out of their way to make everything wonderful and perfect for us. They let us stay later than we should. We were having fun, but we were slightly too loud, slight too obnoxious, and slightly too gergarious -- due to too many drinks prior in the evening -- and what is most impressive is the lovely staff didn't even reveal an ounce of annoyance. I was thoroughly impressed with their congeniality and ability to maintain such class, grace and even joy under pressure. (I'm not promoting over- drinking and we did take ubers home, btw....) Also, we wanted more to drink, because the drinks were just so yummy, but they very kindly and sweetly told us they needed to close. It was such a great night. I will go back again to drink some more fancy drinks and make a little better 2nd impression! : )

We came here for happy hour and left with blurry vision, so yeah, you could say we had a good time here! My friend picked out Rouge Cocktail Lounge for our happy hour spot, which is a new, trendy cocktail bar in Old Bellevue. We visited on a Tuesday right, soon after happy hour started and we were the only patrons there then. But as the night went on, the place filled. The space is large enough for a few groups and couples. It's a dark cocktail bar, with one area towards the back with red lighting and a velvet sofa, which looked more intimate. On happy hour, they had a handful of small bites and cocktails for about $10. The Manhattan was solid, which was basically all bourbon. I enjoyed it! They had a good selection of cocktails though, which is what they're known for. But if that's not your thing, they do offer wine, beers and hard seltzers, with small plates, like charcuterie boards, deviled eggs, etc. Overall, this was a nice cocktail bar that'll get pricey the longer you stay, if ya catch my drift. Staff was friendly and the aesthetics here gave me speakeasy vibes, with its dark lighting and velvet seating. I recommend stopping by if you're looking for a cocktail or four in Old Bellevue.

Let's talk about this amazing find in Bellevue!! My husband and I have been on the hunt for amazing date night areas in our local city and this place came up! I am always a big fan of unique and creative cocktails and this place delivers!! We didn't do a reservation since it was first come first serve but on Friday night it was not super packed! I loved the beautiful dark atmosphere which makes you feel like you're in a speakeasy. For our drinks - the only one star I removed was on the timing of the drinks. Our first set of drinks did come long after we were done with our food which I would have loved to have my drinks before the food. My favorite drink has to be this pink cocktail!! I have never had something like this before but it was delicious and so refreshing! Also the food that we got which was the brisket Mac and cheese was super flavorful and amazing! A great small plate for my husband and I! Would love to come back and try out some more food and cocktails!!

A very poor quality picture of a very high quality drink!

I was early for dinner reservations in Bellevue so dropped in for a drink and wish I had time to stay longer! The bartender and server were awesome! I asked for something along the lines of a lemon drop cocktail and got a wonderful custom creation. I don't know what was in it other than vodka but I could drink roughly 10 just for the taste. I simultaneously wanted to chug it and savor it. 20/10! They offer small bites and have a happy hour. They have wine but I highly recommend straying from that unless, by some unfortunate circumstances, you don't drink liquor and ended up in a cocktail bar. It was relatively early on a Friday, probably around 5:30p and it wasn't too busy when I popped in but by the time I left it was filling up. I can see this being a great place for post-work decompressing, pre-dinner drinks, the first stop on a boujee Bellevue bar crawl, or a solo treat yourself! I am excited to have a new spot on my list and will come back soon with more time carved out to get the full experience!

Beautiful place to go for a drink. Live music on Thursdays. Happy hour is a good deal, 5-6pm. Our first round of cocktails were disappointing. Like another reviewer mentioned, they tasted watered down. Our second round of drinks were better.

This was while the place was practically empty, so I'm not sure what else could have been occupying their time. Second, I ordered the pork shoulder stir fry which wasn't bad but had several large pieces of pure fat & gristle in it that I felt a high quality restaurant would have taken out of the dish. It's indicative of lazy & careless food preparation skills. Also, the basmati rice was very under-cooked...some pieces were even crunchy. Lastly, after leaving the place, I realized that I accidentally left my sunglasses there. So I called later that evening to inquire if they had found them. I discovered they route all incoming calls to a bot that instantly made me feel unimportant and unappreciated. What's worse is it tried to connect me with someone in the restaurant, but kept looping back into its own messaging narrative. What an absolute PITA. This enables me to make a broader point: Restaurants have to get it through their heads that cutting costs has negative impact on customer experience, putting the lifeblood of their business into jeopardy. Take the widespread adoption of QR code-based menus during COVID...how many restaurants do you know actually switched back to real menus after COVID passed? The answer is very few. The reason why? They are too stingy to pony up the dough and ignore the benefit to the customer experience. They figure, 'people already know how to do that so why spend the money on printing up menus anymore?". They couldn't care less about what customers might actually enjoy more, and that's the real travesty. If restaurants are going to force their customers into a self-serve model (as so many have nowadays), then why bother tipping anyone? I am so fed up of a world where the idolatry of wealth has surpassed the appreciation and value of real, engaging human experiences. The Central Bar + Restaurant could help reverse this course if they ever decide to they put customer experience first instead of their own profits. UPDATE: Added one star because they actually had my shades...went ot go pick them up today.
