WARNING! I have ordered food directly from this Round Table several times a week for work for months! Last night we ordered $230 in pizza and wings. The delivery driver that dropped the food off had a Pit Bull Dog in the car! I called to complain and tell them we're not eating the food. The manager told us that someone would be there within 20 minutes to pick it up, 1 hour and 30 minutes later I get a call saying they were outside! We had been closed for an hour at that point. This place is a joke, it's the second time this month we get the wrong order, we literally live about 5 minutes away and when we got home and opened up the pizza it was barely warm, burnt, and dry. I called to make the complaint and spoke to Derek "shift supervisor" and not only had a bad attitude but basically accused me of lying, he wouldn't give me the managers name and without offering to replace the pizza he asked me to bring the pizza back?! For what? I would not recommend this location. Today 12/15 I was contacted by the manager, she was very nice and apologetic, she offered us a free extra large to compensate for the burnt pizza. It's a long story that involves me making a panicked phone call to my credit card company because of a glitch in Round Table's online ordering system. I DO NOT RECOMMEND ORDERING ONLINE. Service was extremely poor and we were charged extra for ranch with our wings. The wings we're supposed to be $24.99 yet we were charged 27.99 for ranch. I come here all the time and have never been charged. When asked about why this price was higher I was told it was because of the ranch. I haven't been here in awhile, but my boyfriend and I were looking for round table and this was the closest to us. So I placed the order online through Yelp. My phone is on silent so I didn't hear the phone calls round table was making to my phone. I received two calls and was left a voicemail, which I greatly appreciated otherwise I would have just assumed my food had finished at the original estimated time (which is when I called back). The person who answered was very polite and let me know there'd be 20 minutes until it was ready. I sent my boyfriend in to go get the food, and this is why one star is lost. We both have been more into giving out reviews and so he paid attention to what the atmosphere was like inside. Long story short, he wouldn't want to eat in there. That's half. The second half of the lost star is they didn't offer cheese and pepper so we went back in to get some, nor did they give me my ranch I ordered. This aside, we loved the food. Staff was rude and acted like this was my fault. The Manager got involved, apologized for their mistake in misreading the order and said he would refund me but stated that their credit card machine was broken but he would take care of it later. Very unfortunate the reviews I read after ordering and picking up a pizza from here however my experience was quite different. I ordered online so I could pick it up on my way home. When I got there it was later in the evening and there were 4 young adults working there. They were young but very nice and professional. I got a chance to have lunch at this location after church and I was very happy with the food and quiet atmosphere. We had their pepperoni Parmesan pizza and it was well cooked and being a pizza buff, i was not disappointed as I have been with other franchise pizza places in the past. The boneless wings were right on time and complimented the pizza very well. Not too spicy but just enough heat to not overpower the main dish. The price was reasonable, and the place was clean; I'm not a fan of open salad bars but that's just me. I'm going to admit it. I like Round Table better than Cheeseboard or Zachary's. There, I said it. I feel so free. My husband agrees with me: Reason #2,643 that he is the best. RT has been my favorite since I was a small child. I love the crust. It's not too thin and not too thick, with just the right ratio of crunchy to chewy. I love their red sauce. I love the Wombo Combo, which had spicy sausage and portobellos on it. We get coupons for Round table all the time, so a large is usually about $17. Cheaper than the fancy places and yummier! I work in Pinole a quarter mile away from the Round Table there.. Usually I go to the one in Pinole, but after leaving work and living closer to San Pablo I decided to go here. I have vowed to never order food from here again because of 5 chances I have given them over the last 7+ years.. I get home disappointed every time. The pizza is sloppy, toppings fall off, and undercooked soggy pizza. The last time I ordered a pizza from here (against my better judgement, coerced by my son) it was during a time when they had an appetizing special advertised on tv.. We call in and of course, they are out of the ingredient vital to the specific special, I still order the pizza with hopes to get some kind of a discount on the "incomplete" pizza special.. I was told no discount.. When I arrived home, everyone was disappointed at the mere appearance of the pie. Terrible. But this review is really not about my past experiences here with their food, but with my seemingly impossible expectation that they couldn't possibly screw up issuing a gift card.. Having left Pinole, I go to San Pablo to grab a few gift cards. After requesting a couple gift cards, the person at the register "doesn't know how to do it". I am told to wait for a second so the appropriate person can take care of my request. I end up waiting 20 minutes and get told that there is NO ONE here that can do it. Round Table quality has always been high, IMO. I think their latest round of commercials means someone in marketing has finally clued into this; seriously, delivery pizza, Dominoes is flat pasty pre-fab cardboard, Round Table has always been fresher, thicker, chunkier.. more "real foody". This location makes the usual great pie. Ingredients are each tasty, I like a good veggie and meat mix-up, and will try a variety of bases. The downside to this location is that it's in a slightly depressed, older mall situation. I don't think they can help that, and it doesn't affect delivery or pick-up pie. I ordered 2 family size flatbreads a tomato pesto flatbread and artisan pepperoni. But they gave me a tomato flatbread. It's supposed to have basil and pesto. It has neither. I can understand a mistake but the problem I have is the poor customer service when I called to report the problem. Manager told me I have to return the whole pizza . I ordered two large pizzas for $50 bucks but anyway I knew Round Table is a little pricy compared to other pizza places. They said about an hour but it finally was delivered at around an hour and a half. The driver seemed strange but I would have given him a tip if he didn't cop an attitude with me when I asked why didn't the store just run the credit card over the phone instead of having the driver use his finger on the old fashioned paper thingy.
