Round 1 is a great place for claw machine lovers, especially with their Sanrio plushies! I've been to the Santa Ana, Industry & Moreno Valley spots. When I was browsing their website for August, the corduroy Cinnamoroll plushie was the one I wanted :3 However, this is the only location that seems to be unfair. After purchasing a $50 game credit, play card and playing the entire card, at ONE claw machine , and leaving empty is truly ridiculous. I spent all of my credits, over 15+ swipes, for an attempt to grab the white puppy. That claw machine is sooooooooo rigged, you've got to be kidding , even after the 15th swipe, the claw would STILL loosen up, I asked an employee if there's a "strategy" or if I'm close to the number of swipes, so the claw will have enough strength for a winning grab? Was out with my son and decided to take him somewhere where we could have a great fun time with each other with games and fun. The location of the business was located next to the mall so parking was easy and vast. Once we arrived the atmosphere was great, the sound of kids playing, arcades going off, and lights and excitement all around. We then later walked to the front and looked at the deals they had. Seemed pretty straight forward and I wanted to spend some time with my son there so I got the $30 deal which I believe was 150 credits. Once we got the card (which if you get a new card it is a $2 charge) we headed out to the floor to choose what games to play. We started playing various games (I highly do not recommend playing the claw machines, they are not worth it) which later made me realize that 150 credits does not give you that much play time at all! The prices of the games were ridiculous and I feel that me and my son didn't even really spend that much time there due to the fact that we ran out of credits so fast. Just don't realize why the prices are so high at this establishment. When you win a prize like a figure, you need to take the display box to a worker who can then open up the machine for you. Went to Round 1 to play games with my daughter. That part of it was fine and we had no issues there. Place was clean and wasn't too busy when we showed up. The drop in stars is really from the food. Ordered a chasu bowl and a chasu ramen and both were lacking. Not only that but both dishes took a long time to come out. My daughter doesn't like the veggies, so her bowl was supposed to be noodles, chasu and naruto. Went to grab our food when it was ready only to be told they didn't defrost the naruto, so sorry unless you want to wait 2.5 hours for it. To make matters worse, when I got to the table, I noticed my bowl only had one piece of chasu. The picture on the ordering screen showed 3-4. Food is definitely not worth it here anymore. Also, not sure why, but I was told they don't sell soda to guests anymore but saw them serving it for parties. The cost of the claw machines are ridiculous compared to the cost of the games itself so if you aren't confident i would be cautious about playing them. the game attendants are friendly & will adjust the plushies/boxes if you ask. this place is aimed more for teens/adults just due to pricing & their game selection. i wouldn't take your kid here and suggest going to dave & busters or chuck e cheese instead. read more

Embarrassing that they hire the type of bar staff they do. My family and I went to bowl for one of our cousins birthday. We had waited in line for the bar to order drinks. Upon ordering drinks we sat at the bar to just chit chat and wait for our name to be called for the lane. As I was sitting down on a stool one of the off-duty coworkers came back and was so passive aggressive and said "that's my chair my stuff is there". As I got up to give him the stool because I didn't even want to entertain negative energy he still was passive aggressive. My other party members order a pitcher of beer for themselves and I had just a truly specialty. I finished it waited around 10 mins and decided I wanted another one. When I went to go order another drink this passive aggressive woman on the bar who had glasses was a small build accused me of drinking from the pitcher of beer and my drink and said she couldn't serve me because I was "intoxicated" which was complete bullshit because she was in front of me the whole time and I was on my phone and not even talking. She said she was only going to give me water and that the rest of my party also couldn't order drinks. I told her that her remark was absurd because first off I hate beer and secondly she was there the whole time I was drinking. After I told her I didn't even want their water and told my party not to order drinks because we wouldn't be receiving them. After I told my party this we were all confused because we weren't even drunk and didn't even have much to drink. THEY can CHECK their stupid ass cameras as well. Took my kids to Round1 in Temecula for the first time. Majority of the claw toy games are rigged. the claws are so loose that it barely grabs any of the stuffed toys. We went to Round1 in Lakewood and the claws are much firmer - lots of customers won toys. Save your money and buy your kids toys from the stores instead. I would really consider having the inspectors test these claws - I think they are super loose. read more

I have been a Round1 guest since 2010 and will write you a relatively thorough review of this location. In short, it is not a bad place to take the kids or adults to have fun in an engaging and thrilling environment. There is Karaoke, Bowling, Billiards, and plenty of Arcade games. Staff was friendly and helpful, we had a great time for under $100! Okay here is the long part: this location is independent than other ones. When we first went in at night (around 9pm) we had to go through security just like the TSA. It was actually nice because my friends and I have encountered a couple of alterations in the past and this makes me feel a bit safe. I have a general Round1 Platinum card, but for this one, if didn't work because it's not a part of the worldwide network or something like that. That kind of threw me off because if it's under the name, it should all be the same... right? Anyways... It's not that bad. This Round1 is different as it has different games and prizes that caters more to the consensus of this location. It still has your Japanese arcade games (Rhythm games, dance games, crane games). Speaking of games I did the math for you guys so you don't have to. The average and true value you should use before you swipe is this: 1 credit = $0.23. Most games are 6.8-9.0 credits which will cost you $1.57-2.07 per swipe. The crane games are 10-12 or $2.30-2.76 per swipe. Most prizes are valued around $20 for the cranes which means if you can't get the prize in 8 or less swipes, you're now in negative value. When it comes to tickets, the max efficiency average for obtaining tickets is $0.03 per ticket. That means it'll cost about $3 to win 100 tickets. If you go look at the prizes, $3 is not worth anything for 100 tickets. In summary, when it comes to the arcade; don't even bother winning tickets, don't try to win the crane game unless you know you will get the prize in 8 or less swipes. Play the arcade to have fun and understand a swipe is anywhere from $1.50-$3. Besides the arcade, the bowling/billiards/Karaoke is actually nicely priced imo. They also have food if you're really hungry and drinks. They used to have a $2 drink special but inflation happened and now it's $4-6 per beer. As for the mask policy, like anywhere in California at the moment, masks are required. Think about how many people are touching each game and ask yourself do they have enough staff to clean up after each game, of course not. They're just following state mandates no need to hate. read more

My girlfriend and I went there last Friday a little after 6. Our experiences going here have been top-notch. The manager (Vince is his name? Apologies, I did forget) Is the man. And the staff on the floor is ready to help out guests. The Bar staff was super chill and expedient at getting drinks. Finn showed my gf where the Sailor Moon figures are at, Julian is super quick to help out with resetting the machines, and the dude whose hair is dyed blonde is pretty cool (sorry, my dude. I forgot your name.). The biggest shoutout goes to Chris. He made our experience so much more fun, was incredibly kind, and was ready to help out at the drop of the hat. For how busy the place was, the quality of service he provided was exceptional. I wish we could've provided tips for them, but we know they aren't allowed to take them. read more

Honestly this place is going down hill since opening post lockdown. I went here with a group of friends when they first opened and left with literal arm fulls of claw machine prizes, but after coming today honestly was disappointing. Many of the games had broken buttons and got stuck mid Game, no staff came by to help when games frooze up, the claw games wouldn't even move prizes let alone hold onto them. Many of the claw machines had lose fingers. The staff were also less than helpful as we had waited 20 minutes in the prize area to redeem tickets only to end up walking away with nothing. I get that we need masks right now but we had waiting 10 minutes in the bowling line for a mask for my partner only to leave and end up not wearing masks at all the whole time we were there. I've read the reviews and felt I needed to write my own. First, YES, it's a little pricey. But truthfully, what isn't pricey anymore??? For $100 in the arcade you can spend a couple hours playing and then spend your points in the shop. There's also the bowling and food. There are few arcades with this range of games available. M kids and I have spent several afternoons here. Stay away from the claw machine type games. These are always in favor of the house but the machines at Round 1 are expensive and typically take several attempts to "win" the prize. The prizes are better quality than just about every other claw machine I've come across but still pricey. It's very well laid out and very colorful of course. The music is loud enough to enjoy but not so loud as to be an annoyance. If you're not a fan of flashing lights, stay away. It's very Vegas-casino-for-kids inside! They have lots of single player games but also quite a few that you can play together. If your kids enjoy gaming, this place is worth the trip and the cost. The only downside is the cost but for the cost of an inexpensive lunch and a movie you can spend 2-3 hours at Round 1 so it's about the same. read more

I have never taken the time to write a review, but experience at this location was so TERRIBLE. I felt the need to do so. I have recently moved into the area, but have been to another Round1 location (industry) multiple times and have loved it. However, my experience at this location was HORRIBLE. My party and I walked in very enthusiastic about playing some games. Unknowingly, I was playing a claw machine game that was in a "restricted area." There were no signs, or anything really preventing me from accessing that machine (which did work perfectly fine). When I had already gone to another machine in a different area, an employee approached me and had let me know I had crossed a restricted area. It genuinely caught me by surprise. I apologized, and continued on. Moments later, 2 security walk up to my husband and I, and tell us because we crossed a restricted area we needed to leave immediately. Still so surprised, we apologized, explained the situation, and tried to make sense of the misunderstanding. The security and manager refused to even take the time to understand us. And began harassing us, following us around with not even an arm space distance!! It was so uncomfortable!!! We were not seeking trouble, and even asked the manager Erick to stop cussing at us, when we were speaking to him appropriately. He made the excuse that he was from NY and that's just how he spoke to others. On top of it, once leaving security did try and harass us on the way out. One of them who had originally approached us didn't have much to say at first when he was alone. However when we walked out and he was around the other security guards he proceeded to yell and tell us he would be off of work soon. Insuating a fight. When INSIDE our car, the security all came together and acted as if they were going to approach our car by walking out of the building towards us. Definitely wouldn't recommend this place. Just a bunch of pathetic people who take working at an arcade too seriously. Let alone men in their 20s who are on a power trip getting paid minimum wage to feed their small brained egos. It only has a one because they make you give a star. Should be 0.5. We ordered one unlimited play card then then we're advised to order two cards. After asking questions on the benefit the employees mistakenly told us the card were unlimited for the wrong color games. 2 minuets purchase they still refuse to transfer the funds, refund the card, or any form of compensation for their mistake. They had a lack of remorse. Also you could tell they weren't trained properly and didn't understand their basic protocols. Not to mention the employees behind the counter cursing an a children's establishment with other employees. They were complaining about new employees and said others aren't new they just don't won't to learn how to do it right. As a business owner I'd never exposed my customers to this type of service. Also to punish customers for an employees mistake. REALLY? I wouldn't simply have a refund and allowed the customer to purchase what they wanted and gave a boost to their play or prize for inconvenience. If a customer invest over $100 in your establishment some form of adjustment would be the least you could do. Unfortunately the owners and GM will suffer for the employees actions and they might be wonderful people. One thing I don't like about reviews but someone needs to know what to expect before you come. We live in San Diego and we're excited to see they opened a Round 1 a little closer than LA area. Decided to come with my friend who was visiting and my boyfriend. We each spent a pretty penny to play the claw machines. Since we frequent Round 1, we've gotten pretty good at the machines. This time around we were winning a lot and reloaded 3x. The employee there would not leave us alone/kept watching us. She GRABBED a prize from my friend and told us it was hers and thanked us for winning it for her. Ok, we get you're joking but who in the f*** grabs something from a customer? A little later I wanted the same prize my friend won and the employee came up to us and kept telling us "one is enough". Is it any of your business? We are winning without your help, but it's okay to move the prizes around for little kids and not bother them? Horrible service. I booked all my stuff in advance for my large group. Lanes we're not ready on time. Had a horrible time with getting the karaoke to connect because of their horrible Wi-Fi. This place is such a joke. The games are sooo expensive, most being over $2-3 each to play. They took out a bunch of fun games and replaced them with claw games that are close to being empty. In order to win, you have to play them over and over again, spending way more than they're worth and even then you don't win. When I ordered a beer, I couldn't get it because apparently they only have 15 glasses in the whole place since they said people throw them away??! That's so weird to me. This place is huge and you only have 15 glasses?!? The staff is also so rude.
