Absolutely horrible. Trash all over the campground, no one to clean or take care of anything. The flowers are all dead. The first night we stayed the people by us stayed up till 3 am blaring awful rap music (which I like but not for my 4year old) someone else had a fart noise on a speaker all night and didn't stop till 4 am. Not once did anyone from the camp come over to tell anyone to quit down. The people next to us weren't watching their kids and their kids ended up at our site playing which was fine, but no parents were watching their kids which is crazy in this day in age. The next day the same people were doing drugs in their car and everyone in their party was going in and out of the car. Kids all over who swear and have no adult supervision. It's extremely disgusting, annoying and just upsetting this place was like this. We were supposed to stay Sunday too but we left early bc it was so bad. read more

If I could give this campground a zero, I would! Made a reservation for two nights here (sight unseen). When we arrived, it was damp and cool. Went to take a shower after a long drive -- NO HOT WATER. I called the office to complain. Someone came to "fix", but after waiting a couple of hours after I was told it was "fixed", there was still NO hot water. Early in the morning, I tried again..... still none. Bathroom facilities by the laundry area were locked. Washers in facility were dirty. NO Amenities as advertised. NO free wifi. We checked out after not being able to shower. Basically paid $88.50 for a night's stay (Electric hookup only). Asked to get half of my money back, for the night we did stay. Reimbursement for this was never made. read more

We were stupid enough to believe the camp managers that "B" section was quiet. Could not be further from the truth. Pounding, exceedingly loud, horrible techno music blaring from the Jurrasic Park golf carts day and night. We have loads of money sunk into this spot and the park does absolutely nothing. Letter after letter, complaint after complaint, go completely unanswered and not responded to. If you want a quiet, relaxing weekend, don't come here. read more

When we arrived last Friday we were pleasantly surprised with the cleanliness of the park. We brought our two young kids in our RV as a place to stay during our weekend trip to Cedar Point (~90 min away). The park promotes itself as "family-friendly" and has quiet hours starting at 11pm. Nothing could be further from the truth! Loud music and rowdy drunks kept us up all night. Park officials drive around during the night, but seem to be complicit in the blatant breaking of their own rules. Our trip to Cedar Point was ruined the next day as our family was sleep deprived from the day before. Will definitely not be staying here again! read more

I went for a tent camping trip over the summer and was specifically seeking in between primitive camping with some amenities- the front desk staff ((all young adults)) were so accommodating and helpful I was shocked aha. Just their friendly-ness and service had me wanting to buy things in the guest shop so I could hangout with them longer They have a laundry center which came in handy due to my dog having an accident in my car oops. I didn't get to try the lake out bc it was colder and late in the season but this seems like a great family friendly park. I'm from Michigan and will 100% be bringing my family down to get a cabin when we hit Hocking Hills next summer. I sincerely appreciated the late arrival time into the camp ground//center. This was an emergency back up plan on my trip, that was surprisingly excellent and I will definitely plan to come back. read more

I'm very disheartened to learn things haven't changed despite Bill Diamond's commitment to look into it. The owner of the Jurassic Park golf cart must be a part owner as he was playing the same obnoxious and loud music when we were there. This was a great place. We never would have gone here without "Passport America "! We arrived at 5 PM and it all looked very nice. We were directed to our spot which was a little crowded, but still very nice. The biggest complaint we had was the camper on our left, who left their dog on a leash while they went away, and it was barking for about an hour. (Note that this was in direct violation of camp rules, so not a fault of the campground.) On our right there was a camper that had their lights on all night. It was a flag and it was very bright. The things we loved the most: The park had a wonderful walking trail that circumvented the lake and park. The park was very clean. They had a band in the evening that played some great 70's hard rock music. (That was OK, but we're more into country.) We stayed and listened for a while. The atmosphere was friendly and enjoyable. I wish we had more time to stay and enjoy the many amenities that the park had to offer. The staff was mostly younger people, and they definitely did the best they could with the Covid crisis the way it is. read more

The summer before Covid, my family had a season pass at RoundUp Lake. That summer I paid well over $3200 for that space. Their pool broke and we were promised the entire summer for restoration. It was not fixed until the summer was almost over. I had no access to the pool and no refund or compensation was offered after requests. I did not camp for two More years there. I decided to book a week this last week. Their pool broke AGAIN and it is now empty. They refused a reimbursement of any kind. Now I will share pros and cons - Pros. - Big lake with fun obstacle course - Big campground with lot of green space - Many playgrounds - Nice facilities - Friendly workers - Close to hometown - Many dog poop stations - Fishing, boating fun - Weekend activities - Free kayaks and canoes to tent - Nice jump pad - Nice pads with tables and fire pits - full hook ups - Camp store - Quiet setting - Dump station Cons- - The beach and area is covered in duck poop and is impossible to avoid . - The beach swimming area smells like sewage - Their kayaks are loaded with cigarette butts and smells like sewage - The pool breaks with no refund or compensation ($350 loss) - Not much open during the week - (restaurant, beach , snack shack, recreation activities - The shower houses are dirty - Diamond properties (the owner out of NY) does not return phone calls or messages. - The life guards are under staffed and sleep at the pool. Water safety is not a priority and I foresee someone getting hurt or worse. - There is no one for campers to contact in an event of a complaint. read more

First and foremost, if you are any person of color, or any ethnic background that is not Caucasian, do not, I repeat, do not stay at this campground. Management is very rude and disrespectful and it's definitely a prejudice camp ground. We were kicked out at 1-2am in the morning, making us wake up a pregnant woman and a child out of their sleep. And even though we assured the management and officers we were drinking and had a child and pregnant woman with us, they still kicked us out and made us drive home and that we would have to figure out the issue ourselves. "Multiple complaints" were made of my family that were not even true, of smoking, being loud, and racial slurs which were never true. Since we were a group of color their first initial reaction was to accuse us of weed and even after telling the officers and management to search our cabin and belongings they refused. They said they had no intentions of investigating any further, proof or no proof, it was non-negotiable. Its claimed to be a family camp ground but that is not the case at all. They're we're kids running and screaming all night, even passed their 11pm quiet time. Definitely had underage drinking and kids driving golf carts, and smoking as well. A lot of loud campers and drunk people being loud but since they were Caucasian it was never an issue. Also after kicking us out by security, management refused to speak to any of the party, still won't speak to any of us, refused to refund us, or even take in consideration that it was 2am in the morning, and it was such an inconvenience to drive at that time. We even had other campers come up to security and tell them to let us stay because we were not disturbing anyone and yet they still would not let us. Also, the campground was not clean, there was little to no hot water, and one of our party ended up getting bed bug bites. Just very disappointing overall, Very horrible experience, and a very prejudiced campground and management. I would not recommend anybody to stay at this campground at all. read more

It's ok here, there's not much to do during the weekdays. I've heard of some pretty questionable stuff that goes on here with teens during the weekend but I think the new gates to get in is really gonna help. I've only been camping twice but this place is pretty nice. Lake is clean and has a nice beach. Lots a green all around. Close to civilization and shopping/restaurants. Only thing that's a little lacking is shower facilities unless I just missed them. Overall good spot. read more

By far the worst experience I have ever had at any campground in the country and also my entire life. I am 5 months pregnant and came here with friends to peacefully celebrate my birthday. Campground is absolutely filthy and not taken care of. Minors drinking and driving around on golf carts all throughout the day and night almost hitting me on my way to the bathroom on several occasions. Children and adults walking around smoking marijuana. Lot occupants are very racists. We were asked to leave at 2am because we were accused of being the people on the campground smoking marijuana. All we were doing was sitting around the fire together eating s'mores (something I wanted to do because of cravings & Mind you I'm 5 months pregnant and we are here for MY birthday with a young child with us who was sleeping already) we told them it was not us and our music was off and were still forced to pack our things in the dark and told to leave by campground manager because we were a "disturbance" and occupants "complained" about us specifically. Refused to refund the hundreds of dollars that we payed to stay the weekend, didn't even get to spend one night. These people are awful to human beings. They do not take care of nor respect their guests. Not friendly environment at all for Hispanic/Colored People. Very sad that people like this are operating a business. read more

Fantastic experience! Charity was great and super helpful at check-in. The sites are beautiful and relaxing. Especially appreciate the clean bathrooms with good water pressure in the showers after a long day on the road. They were also welcoming to my dog, even have a doggie pool in the dog park where he could cool off! :) If ever back in Ohio we will stay here again. :) read more

To start off, let me say I didn't stay there, but just dropped by to dump my holding tank and get propane. While there I drove around and interacted with staff at the main office and propane. The main office/store is large, but barely stocked with much of anything. The twin ladies who managed the registers were very friendly. The park is jammed cheek to cheek with campers with VERY large groups. Everyone gets around on golf carts decorated with USA paraphernalia. Lots of smokers, drinkers and loud music during our dump visit. If you don't enjoy recreating in a giant village of white folks, swearing, smoking and drinking and driving around propane choking carts with flags and radios, don't go here. read more

This used to be Yogi Bears Jellystone Park. It changed its name last summer. Gone are the bears and other cartoon characters. What remains is a beautiful lake with fishing, boating and swimming. Bath houses and restrooms are clean. This is a great place for group camping Also has several sites for company picnics Seasonal sites are available Sites are well kept. Themed weekends are fun. The swimming pool is nice and works well with the on duty life guards. The snack bar serves a limited menu of burgers and ice cream. The gift shop and ranger station is woeful. Hard to find those last minute supplies you may have forgotten. Gone are the pancake breakfasts that used to be fun on weekends. The arts and crafts activities are lame as well. The miniature golf course needs help. Overall, good, but could be great with a few upgrades. read more

Options in the Mantua area for an RV park are limited. Fortunately, the Roundup Lake RV Resort was there for us after a long day of travel. The reviews for RLRR on TripAdvisor run the gamut, though the newer reviews are probably the most accurate and reflect new management. Our first time at the Roundup Lake RV Resort, we saw a clean, well-maintained park with a friendly staff. If my travels again take me through this part of Ohio, I'll be back. read more

We have been camping here for approximately 22 years. We started as weekenders in a pop up and have been seasonals for a very long time. Our children grew up out here and still camp here to this day. We have been through some terrible owners and management . Often times thought about leaving in the past a/c terrible owners. This ownership company and management by Charity have done an exceptional job. We are constantly seeing improvements in our beautiful park We enjoy all of the activities offered and especially the cleanliness of the park. It was my families first time back to the park since the park changed names. It used to be Jellystone Park, but now Roundup Lake Park. Alot has changed and not in a good way. The park is showing it's age and is in dire need of repair of just about everything. If it can break! it is broke. We lost water for a few hours and power was off and on most of Saturday and Sunday. Our power inverter in our camper blew up due to the power issues Sunday morning. We found out it was a resident in the park charging his golf cart with a bad charging unit that was on our line. Cons: 1) We found the park to be loud and out of control most of the time around sunset. 2) My son couldn't use the pool due to the freezing water temp. 3) Trash cans overflowing through out the park. 4) Rude office staff and out of this world prices for items in the store. 5) Alot of foul language from residents at the park after quite hours 6) There is no security. 7) It was obvious that the residents had full run of the campground at all times of the night. 8) Way too much drinking and public intoxication. 9) Too expensive per night. 10) Per hour Wi-Fi costs Pros: 1) Decent Lake 2) Alot of open spaces 3) Location, Location, Location. 4) Close to shopping 5) Never having to go back there. Note to park owners: Take control of your park. No longer a family park, but a single persons party spot for the weekend. It seems the park keeps getting worst every year and the weekend crowd is gone, however other parks in the area are showing higher traffic as Roundup Lake is losing out on the masses. Your own seasonal residents are the down fall to why the park is empty! You cannot contol them and refuse to do so. I watched a park employee ask a resident to turn down the music and 5 minutes later it was louder. There is no respect. If you want families to return drop the rates and make up the diffrence in volume. Put some money into the park and attract the crowds again. read more

We love going to this camp ground because there's a lot of stuff for the kids to do, became friends with some of the seasonal campers, and it's close to home. But when the sun goes down the night life begins which makes it not a good family camp ground. Quiet time is supposed to be from 11pm till 8am. That never happens!!! People are partying until 5am at times. Screaming, yelling, loud music, fireworks, under age drinking, people racing around on golf carts drunk, people stumbling around, etc. The last few years we have complained to manager at the front desk and she just says sorry and to call security next time and it'll be taking care of. Which on the paperwork it states security on staff from 11pm till 3am and I've never seen them. Main manager parties with her friends and family there till early hours of the morning so maybe that's part of the issue being shes not responsible herself. Also other staff that run other areas of the camp ground are untrained, rude, and don't pay attention to what's going on around them due to being glued to their phones. Restroom and shower facilities cleanliness also have gone down hill. A lot of up grades need to happen around the park. You're lucky to get a solid picnic table. So if you're looking for a good family oriented camp ground this probably not the place for you. I know we won't be going back now and friends of ours that are seasonal campers say they're are not renewing next season due to the same issues. Sad!!! Its a beautiful setting there with the natural landscape. Just needs a better manager with better trained responsible staff. read more

This is a big, and nice campground. It has a beach, and a big "lake" to catch and release fish, a decent pool, however, the sites are pretty close together to the point we worried about the people's fire next to us with ambers hitting the tonou cover on the truck. Their quiet time is to start in an hour we shall see. Their is about 6 tents set up across us (all together) very loud, setting off fireworks. Just very noisy all around. I realize folks want to have a good time, but it should be done with being considerate to others. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad if you weren't so close together..ppl in pop-up have been BLARING music since they set up..wonder why the staff isn't enforcing policies.....?? read more

I still love this campground & it offers so much to do with the whole family, but the last couple of times I have been here, the restrooms were not as clean as usual & the pool was dirty. We were there at the pool the first thing in the morning & it looked like the pool and area surrounding it was not even cleaned from the day before. There were lots of bugs floating in the water, clumps of hair & old band aids, not only in the pool, but on the cement area around the pool. We actually found it disgusting & left after an hour to go to the lake. If they pay more attention to this area, I would go back to my five star rating. We will probably go someplace with a cleaner pool next time. We have been very disappointed the past couple times with this. read more

Having been to all of the local places and having countless issues, we were desparate for a new option. We found this place and it is amazing. I have not been here long, but this place is amazing. We have been to Crystal Rock in Sandusky for a season and American Wilderness for a couple of seasons and this place, in just a couple of weeks puts all other local places to shame! I will start by saying that this place is clean, so clean that I almost couldn't believe they maintained their grounds this well. The lake is amazing, the pool is beautiful. They offer free lessons. The ice cream man pulls in on weekend afternoons, there are tons of activities, just this weekend there was a carnival. There are a few comments below about people who have made their seasonal sites too permanent. We found that this is what makes this place so nice. The couple people we met have been coming for between 25 and 45 years. That means that the people treat this like their homes, taking pride in private and public areas, watching out for you, helping with setups and just generally being neighborly. On top of all of that, with such a beautiful lake, hills and pool there is nothing as nice as this park anywhere within an hour or more from Cleveland. read more

This RV Park sucks! Most of the people are either permanent or seasonal which is fine. They take really good care of their sites, but don't let the looks deceive you! It's the prettiest sucky place we've ever been! The problem is they give the decent sites to people who live there and leave the rest for travelers. Every available site is on a hillside! Just try and level a rig on a hill! The sewer is at the top of that hill! Ever try to drain your tanks with the sewer up hill? Yeah, it doesn't work!!! It wasn't just us. Every short term traveler we spoke with had the same problem. If you're looking for a place to live or vacation long term, this is your spot. It's pretty and lots to do, that is if you don't mind the smell when the people passing though try to empty their tanks and it spills all over the ground! Just had a nice weekend here... Camped in a pop-up with wife & kids. Last minute deal & the sites they assigned us ( 2 popups side by side) were lacking shade but otherwise pretty good....can't complain for last minute as the local state parks were full. Busy barn was great for the crafty girls, as was a. scheduled kickball game for my son, pool and beach were welcomed in the heat of the day, and we even had a decent go at fishing..... Friday night was a bit loud with a few camp sites partying on, but have had worse neighbors...Saturday was better...Will be back, great close to home family get away.....late night noise, average sized sites, and restrooms getting trashed during the day Saturday are keeping this from being a 5 star......but we will be back. read more

I'm sorry for this review, but people that go for weekends might be happy but we wanted to stay 4 days during the week and there wasn't anything to do except swim in the pool. We use to camp there every year till 2004 and so this year we started to come back,but there wasn't any pool games or movies ,wagon rides or even a game room or snack bar to get a burger and fries or popcorn. There wasn't any life guard on the beach side so we couldn't swim there.We need to have more to do during the week too. We paid the same price for the week as the ones that stayed the weekend.The ranger station use to have all kinds of food but there wasn't hardly anything there.We had to go down to Aurora to get a loaf of bread and that doesn't make sense.We were very disappointed. We were there on July 27 and were supposed to stay till the 31, but we went home a day early.Please try to add more ,us people that stay during the week need things to do also. read more
