Even though Folsom isn't shown as being in their service area, I called and asked if he would repair our door. He said sure, and we made an appointment at 8 in the morning. He came on time (actually 5-10 minutes early). He spent some time diagnosing the problem (our door sometimes stopped when going up or down), and determined the spring tension needed to be increased. After doing that, the door clearly traveled with less strain (and noise). It's been over a week now, and it's operated normally each time, so should be fine. My husband asked him to lube the door, which he quickly did. And gave us a ballpark figure for replacing our springs, which we'll probably have to do sooner rather than later. He clearly knows this stuff, and the price is probably reasonable (have nothing to compare it to). read more

I want to share a most positive experience I just had with ROUSE Door Company. Recently we had "another" Garage Door Company come to provide routine service on the garage door, tracks, etc. Before they did anything, they began pressuring me to replace both springs... claiming they were cheap and would fail with a few weeks. The service representative was high pressure and quoted me a price that was more than twice what I paid before. Since I had not had any issues with the springs, I sent this garage door repair man on his way .... Paying the minimum for a service call ...... for which no service was provided. Based on a recommendation from a buddy, I call ROUSE Door Company today and they were at my home within an hour. I found the gentlemen who came ... to be courteous, knowledgeable and efficient. He provided the routine service and adjusted the door "open positioning". Additionally, he advised that the springs were in almost new condition and certainly did not need to be replace at this time. We had an accident where our garage door started coming down while backing the car out of the garage. In addition to damage to the car the bottom panel of the garage door was also damaged. I contacted Rouse Door Company and the owner arrived at my house within the hour. He examined the door and then told me that he could fix it for $75. Since I had assumed that and still believe that most garage door companies would have said I would have to replace the bottom panel if not the whole door I was pleasantly surprised. I agreed and he went to work. He worked on the door for about a hour and when he was done the damage was barely visible from the outside and the door went up and down as well as it always had. Mr Rouse saved me a lot of money by fixing my garage door rather than telling me I had to replace the bottom panel. Replacing the bottom panel would have been expensive and I would have had to find a painter to paint the entire door. Excellent prompt service. One of our garage door springs broke suddenly today. He came and replaced both springs ,as he had recommended to me on the phone and checked the garage door opener within an hour of my call. He was very personable , and advised us the electric opener was wearing out but was still good for awhile and did not need to be replaced right now. I had this business replace a garage door spring on mother's house and asked them to send the receipt to my house in the bay area.The repair guy said he would have the office gal send it. I called back 3 times and the gal said she would send it to my house. Its been a month and I have received nothing. Yesterday my garage door did not fully open (it opened about 90%) and I backed into the very bottom of the door. Called a regional garage door repair company, they came out and gave me an estimate of about $600 to fix it. To double check, I called Rouse Door Company and the owner has at my house in about two hours; and after 40 minutes of bending and banging, the door was fixed completely to my satisfaction. Rouse also fixed the adjustment on the motor (would have been an additional $90 with the other company) and installed a new rubber boot at the bottom of the door (by itself, the cost of the new rubber added about $80 to what Rouse charged). My total cost including the new rubber boot, fixing the door, adjusting the motor was a total of $175. Thank you Mr. Rouse for such good quick work at such a reasonable work.
