As everyone knows each Rouses is different. While this is not the biggest, it's pretty darn close to a mini epicurean one. Pleasantly surprised by their fish and cheese selections. The bakery as a group of talent working in that kitchen, the case is chock full of mouth watering deliciousness. Picked up a cookie cake for my non cake eating 17 year old son and my gal set me up in a hot second and the gorgeous penmanship! I even grabbed a pack of fresh flowers for his room......

For boiled crawfish only: 5/3 at 6 pm Absolutely awesome! The crawfish were hot and a good size. The price was fantastic and the crawfish were flavorful. We purchased potatoes and sausage to accompany our meal. The crawfish were self-service with plastic and paper bags, so we appreciate those in front of us not cleaning out the entire cooler. A good stop if you're looking for a crawfish fix! Served from 11a-7p during crawfish season

This bread with no expiration date. Next day after purchased.

A good place to get wine but I'm so disappointed of the bake goods totally tasteless, usually you will end up with expired bread etc. What make me sick was seen flies all over the food at the Deli. You need better quality control in your bakery and deli in all the stores in New Orleans. I been in some rouses in Lake Charles and is a totally different story.

Tomorrow is the last day we will work with one of our favorite girls at work. We wanted to wish her well with cake and some balloons. Seriously, Rouse's?! So disappointed in the writing on this cake. She didn't even attempt to make it look decent. This is terrible work... she knew it was terrible when she was writing it but her response was "oh, I got this" ummm , no hun, you don't "got this". We won't be using this bakery again, wouldn't want to get this surprise when you open your box, now would you?? Come on Rouses... this is just sad and makes me mad. The other stores are always great, this one is sadly disappointing. It's embarrassing to even present this to someone but, what choice do we have now. Get some candy letters to plop on there instead if your bakery girls have bad handwriting don't ruin someone's cake with crappy writing that runs off the cake.

Visiting from out of town and my local NO friend took me here for crawfish!!! We waited about an hour for them but it was well worth the wait!!! They were seasoned to perfection! We also picked up some corn, sausage, & potatoes. Unfortunately, they weren't seasoned in the same boil though. There was alone of about 20 people deep trying to get to the crawfish. The staff was polite throughout the store as well. We got a few more items there as well. They have a hot bar, salad bar, wine, and so much more!

    Yummy summer rolls!

GREAT SUSHI!!!!!! Friendly staff, super clean store, quiet too. Just a little pricier than Walmart because all the food is better if guess

Absolutely worst managed grocery store by far. During peak hours there are only two checkout lanes open. If you come, be prepared to wait.

This place is always chaos. I hate when I must come here so the Gretna location will get my catering orders from here on.

It's a small Rouses, but since we only have 2 on the westbank, I tend to go here every once in a while.

You gotta come to fresh market on Thursdays for the $5 bistro meals!!! (Beware they do sell out of…read moresome items.) They also have a hot plate meal where you can get a rotisserie chicken, two sides, and 6 rolls - feed 4-6 people. (Perfect amount for 3 people sized family in my opinion.). Depends on the portion sizes your family eats. Either way, great last minute meal ideas after a long day of work. Or for your lunch break! The workers are all really polite here, but the checkout line is not fast so make sure to get a basket or cart to make waiting in line easier. It is always clean in here, and they always have lots of fresh produce. Plus a convenient parking lot.

This has always been my 'go to' specialty market in NOLA…read more The vibe is good, creative offerings and just a very pleasant, upscale place to shop. The staff, especially at checkout, always seem to be friendly and upbeat, which is nice. The pre-prepared foods, snacks, drink choices, bakery and deli are typically better than most, sometimes better than the larger Whole Foods on Magazine St. here. And, they have an amazing floral section at the back entrance. There's a convenient parking lot that wraps around the back and downtown side of the building, but the spaces can be tight, especially with a SUV size vehicle. This time I grabbed some coffee, bread, brownies, and wine. Unfortunately, I found many of the aisles and sections not stocked very well. The bakery section had very little product as did several other places. Just empty bins and shelves. Hmmmm? It is the beginning of Mardi Gras season so plenty of King Cake and specialty vodka. Nonetheless, I do like this store. Fun fact- this used to be the Bultman Funeral Home, in a classic building on the corner of St. Charles and Louisiana Streets. Yes, indeed, a mortuary as well.

During the first week of January, my lifelong friend visited Plush Appeal to purchase Mardi Gras decor for her out of state home. We are natives of New Orleans and were raised with the proper etiquette and respect for ourselves, others and community. We are proud graduates of an affluent Catholic high school and our class of women has made quite a positive impact in this world collectively. With that said, as my friend was shopping she interacted with one of the sales associates and had a lovely conversation. This particular sales associate then left the area. Within minutes two other sales associates approached my friend, accused her of stealing, and when my friend attempted to clear her name and prove her innocence, these women refused. They stated she was on camera and despite my friend asking multiple times for proof and to view the cameras, she was again refused her request. Apparently, two large men were then instructed to escort her out to which she stated she felt extremely uncomfortable. Several of her friends have reached out to the store. Ms. Vee was so nice! CeeCee though ... the manager... when I called to ask for clarification she became nasty and hung up. Long story short, nothing was stolen. If that were the case why not call the police or show the video? Most importantly to note are the differences in skin tones. My friend is an upper class African American female who was seemingly targeted for the color of her skin. Take your business elsewhere!
