Gracey and Bruce were our servers. Both were great. Gracey immediately removed trash ( which is a rarity now days). The service reminded me of a cruise vacation from several decades ago. My wife and I shared the trio ( salmon, shrimp and chicken tenders) plus baked potato, steamed broccoli and a salad. Our bill was a bit over $20 plus tip. The only thing I wish we would have changed is we would double up the shrimp instead of the chicken. 3 at our table raved at the sirloin. My father in law said his baby back rips were wonderful. Everyone raved at the food and the service. My only warning is get there early--- don't expect to walk to table at noon. We got there when it opened at 11am and they accommodated our group of 8 immediately. My brother in law drove back for a return trip a couple days later ( I had to go home). My opinion is since Covid most places don't do good service anymore. FD's does.

Waited an hour and ten minutes for a dry as the desert burger, a micro side of mashed potatoes with thin watery gravy, and a side of canned corn ($11.50); and overcooked chicken livers that tasted like they've never changed their fryer grease, a tiny baked potato with fake butter and burnt bacon, and a side of woody broccoli stems ($11). When we first stepped in, I considered just looking at the carved mahogany bar and going somewhere else. But, we figured it should be fast and we could endure the cacophony for a short time. We were so wrong about it being fast. There was only one wait staff working that night, and she was also behind the bar. When she finally moseys over to us, she admitted she had forgotten all about us. She then took our drink order, and the drinks came quickly. But then she literally never came back to take a food order. Watched her go to all the other tables, watched her clean off the bar, watched her answer a phone call for a takeout order, and then I finally went up to the bar and asked her if we could put in a food order. Once the food was ordered it came out quickly. My husband's smashburger and candied pecan salad were both really delicious. I am a sucker for a local food item whenever I see it on the menu, and I made the mistake of ordering the cashew chicken poutine. The cashew sauce had zero flavor and was just overly salty. The chicken was fried very tough. At least the cheese curds were good. But I barely ate any of it. Nothing but regret about this choice.
