For sides I had a baked potato and a cup of gumbo. The gumbo tasted like I was fine dining in New Orleans. In fact if I get the chance to dine here again, I'll have a bowl of gumbo and the side salad. It had plump sautéed shrimp on top and was perfectly seasoned with spices. They tasted more like a lower-quality frozen product, which was a letdown. On the positive side, the service was excellent. Even with the restaurant getting busy and a live band setting up, the staff stayed friendly, attentive, and on top of everything. One thing to note is that we initially arrived around 12:45 p.m. on Sunday, only to find out they weren't open and was told that something came up and they didnt open until 3:00 p.m. on this Sunday. Overall, I still enjoyed the atmosphere and appreciate the great service, but I hope the kitchen can get back to the food quality that made Lindberg's one of my favorite spots in the past.
