Right off the bat, I was greeted by very friendly staff who were keeping busy during the slow opening hour by watering plants or restocking the bar. I decided to head to the bar backed by the very friendly Karlie. Started off with the Scottish eggs, and they came out piping hot and fresh with a side of spicy mustard. The combination of savory sausage flavor, sweetness of the deviled egg, and a dab of spicy mustard made these starters absolutely worth the choice but could almost be a meal itself! Going further along with the Irish setting, I also went with the original cottage pie, loaded of course, and hands down it's the best pie I've had. The beef, gravy, vegetables, and potatoes added with the garlic mashed potatoes and pie crust was absolute bliss. Again, piping hot from the oven with that perfect mix of soft and crunch from the crust was perfection comfort food. Paired with a Guinness, this is as close to heaven as one can get during work's hour lunch break. The bar area started filling up with the lunch crowd towards the end, but Karlie expertly managed all of it with ease, remaining attentive to the gathering crowd while multitasking between taking food orders and serving as well as bartending. This masterful combination of service, atmosphere, and great food is hard to find around Springfield, but Dublin Pass nailed it while making it look easy, making them a highly suggested stop.

Great food, great service and great atmosphere. Not sure you get much better than this…read more The waitress was wonderful, she walked us through the menu, and when the fries came out, went through the dipping flight, which was awesome. The burgers were really delicious and the strawberry shake was sooooooo good! Great place, I highly recommend.

I ordered a double patty ugly burger, solid cheese burger for kids and the foodie to eat in with fries and the garlic aioli and truffle aioli dips . I also ordered the brisket burger to go for later. Let's start with Service - inside it was fast freindly, helpful and informational. Enviorment - modern no music playing or background sounds other then the cooks which was ok but a little ambiance music would help. Restrooms - Older building with modern upgrades so bathrooms were clean but hot not ac cooled like other area of the restraunt. Food - Now to the main courses. The ugly burger was great veggies were crisp burger looked like an ad and tasted amazing on all options taken each with its own twist except the kids they choose basic and those tasted good too. The fries were good crispy and hot with aioli soda products chosen were good nothing tasted over carbonated or flat. The bbq brisket sandwiche was beyond amazing and itself even re heated to eat later was a star if only I had taken one bite hot and fresh if was over the scale great 10 out of 10.

This…read morelocation is set up next to the prepared food area in this gigantic and well laid out Hy-Vee. Boy do I wish we had a Hy-Vee in Saint Louis and Saint Charles counties! I'll review this Hy-Vee next. ;) Our order was taken immediately by a friendly staff member and we were given a number stand for the table so they could identify us to deliver our food to our table. Then my lunch partner and I found a seat in the Hy-Vee seating area which looks like a mid-range restaurant seating area with faux leather seating and wood tables, fireplace and floral arrangements that you can purchase from Hy-Vee. It's also right in front of the bar area at the entrance to their liquor section. This Hy-Vee has a full bar and bartender! It took over 20 minutes to get our food and I went to the counter to ask about it and was told they were waiting for the onion rings to finish cooking. The onion rings were well worth the wait and were the highlight of our lunch. Fresh from the fryer, thin and crispy with their light batter, they were simply fantastic. Not greasy at all. Every bit as good as they say they are on their reality TV show. I ordered the Original Frim Dorchester (O.F.D.) burger which contained double patties, swiss cheese, sautéed onions, bacon and tomato jam. I also asked them to add sautéed onions, which they forgot but quickly corrected when I asked about it. I thought the burger was really good with all of the toppings. I didn't notice that the beef was especially flavorful. The tomato jam was the bomb and they really did a good job in sautéing the onions so they were nice and caramelized. My only complaint would be that my top hamburger bun was smashed on one side like someone sat on it. LOL! It didn't affect the flavor though. :) My lunch partner ordered the chili cheeseburger and he did not like chili at all and scraped it all off. He wished he would've ordered the O.F.D. I will definitely be back for those onion rings and to try another style of burger as well! Nice visit and I took a photo with the cut out of the Wahlburg boys, but I'm not going to post it here. Haha! Nerd alert!
