The first dog they brought out mounted my dog, and they pulled him away. We then asked who they recommended, and they enthusiastically suggested another dog. The dogs got along at first. But we are college students, and they told us this dog was potty-trained and would be a great dog for our small townhouse. This dog turned out not to be potty trained and ruined our house no matter what we tried. He also started getting more aggressive with my dog until he bit my dog around the throat. I left for winter break at this point. My roommate then started trying to surrender him, and they made it super hard and did not believe him about the bite. They kept putting him off, saying they did not have time for a surrender appointment. When he finally brought him in, they had another dog in the lobby, and he got aggressive with that dog as well. A couple of days later, they called and said they put him down. This was not the ending we wanted. The dog was sweet hee just needed a different living scenario and some training. I work at a shelter myself back home, and Halifax disgusts me.
