We were in town for business so we wanted a place that would take ClassPass credits and able to accommodate about 7 of us with varying degrees of experience with barre. For me, this was my second barre class ever, first with barre3, and it blew my first experience out of the water. I had issues with my first barre class (again, not with barre3) with the instructor going too fast, not showing us what to do, and me being very confused through the hour. I'm no stranger to yoga, Pilates, and working out in general so it was a bit frustrating going into barre. This was not true with barre3-Coppell! We had the pleasure of having Mary Beth teach our class. She is helpful, engaging, and pushed us to do our best. She guided us all through the class, showed us modifications that we could do depending on our ability, and encouraged us throughout the class. I had such a great time and a nice workout for the evening. My only qualm with our 7pm class was that the room where we performed barre was very... dank and warm. Presumably from the last class and as an encouragement (?) to also sweat off our day. Which I did and I got a great workout, but a little air would help! Well well well.......V Cycle.... This review is about to…read moretake you on a roller coaster ride of feelings...A whirlwind of emotions if you will...So let's begin... It all started on a quiet Sunday Morning...fresh from church and ready to take on the day I headed to V Cycle looking for a little sweat that would make me feel ok about the delicious brunch I would devour in a few hours. But little did I know Chuck Norris and Bruce Lee conceived a child and turn them into a cycle instructor. I mean Wow.........Don't get me wrong I've been kicked by a wild donkey in the teeth once before but it was after a reckles st. Pattys day weekend...not a spin class. I mean the instructor Paula was insane.....And I mean that in the most amazing slash "my legs are dead" way. Let me explain... So when I got there Paula immediately set me up with a bike even though I got there a bit late. Point for professionalism. Next she jumped back on her bike and rode away and pushed us to the limit. Not like a kindergarten sock hop, no i mean like really pushed us. Think General Paula during Dessert Storm. But here's the awesome thing, right after she pushed us she then talked to each rider individually to help! Even gave me a towel when I was tongue out rolly eyed! She was great! Next the venue. Clean and sheik. Think classy meets space ship. This place was brand spanking new Finally the workout. After i was done with Paula's class, not only did I want to sign up for more of her classes but I also felt a part of the group. She was so inclusive and friendly. It healed my wounds from cursing her name while she was killing my legs. All in good work out fun she's the sweetest! Overall, if you're looking for a cool, fun place to work out where you're not going to get judged but you're also not going to sit on your ass. THIS is the place. You will sprinkle holy water on Paula when she's training you begging for mercy but you will then make Paula your life and spin coach after because she rocks! Enjoy the studio and god have mercy on your legs. Disclaimer: "breaking it down low" dance moves after this class will only break your hips you'll be so sore. Hurt so gooooooood sore. 100% worth it. I attended a vision board workshop led by Destiny W. recently, and it was amazing! The workshop…read moreconsisted of a yoga series/flow, an opportunity to create a personal vision board, and then yoga nidra to complete the workshop. I will address each portion. Attendance: The workshop was well attended, but there was still space so I did not feel like I was too close to another person. I did not know other participants, but had met the woman leading the workshop (Destiny W). I felt welcomed into the space (so it was not weird if you showed up without a group of friends). Vision Board Workshop: I have never done a vision board before, and I am not a person who normally shares alot, so this was out of my comfort zone. I figured I would try it as a "new year, new focus situation." I am also not very creative/artsy. There was no pressure to share, but people could if they wanted. There were more than enough supplies (and there were cool supplies, too), so there was more than enough for the exceptionally creative and those who needed assistance in sorting their thoughts. Destiny (she led the workshop) walked around and chatted with each person but the conversations were not loud or intrusive so people could be present in the space and also focus on their own thoughts. Yoga Portion of the Workshop: I have practiced yoga before, and even at the old Samatone location (before it was purchased and relocated). I have not practiced in a session led by Destiny W. so that was new. I have also not practiced yoga in a couple of years (life got in the way), so I was not particularly flexible coming into this session. Destiny is a very thorough and calming presence in the studio. Some teachers talk too much, but she does not. There was enough direction to follow coherently, and the way that Destiny described yoga poses/steps made sense to me. It was not all explained in yoga words (some of which I do not know/understand), and there was time to actually do the pose (some teachers move quickly and I feel like I am sprinting to get from a down dog to a warrior). It was very obvious that she had given thought to which poses we were going to do, and in what order. This was not slapped together, and I appreciated that flow. Because this was a workshop, we completed certain yoga series/poses and then took a moment to respond to guided questions to help create our vision boards. There was enough time to do the pose, stop, and then write down a couple of words to help us when we got to the vision board portion. If we would not have done this part, I am not sure I would have been able to put a thought together coherently. The yoga definitely centered my thoughts to what I was supposed to be doing. The music was good. It was more animated during the vision board portion (which was good), and the background sound/music during yoga was neither too loud nor overpowering. I was still able to hear what was going on and also not hear the "extra" sounds of other people in the room. Yoga Nidra: Um, wow. I love yoga nidra. If you have not experienced this type of yoga, you are missing out. I think we might have done 5-10 minutes of yoga nidra at the end, but I also am unsure because I checked out for at least half of it. It was a very nice way to end the workshop. Studio space: The studio is very clean, bright/welcoming, and organized. It was easy to check in, sign the waiver, and find a space in the studio for my mat. There are more than enough cubbies/storage for bags, shoes, etc., and the facilities (bathrooms) are clean. The studio smells nice, or does not smell like a bunch of people sweat regularly in there or like feet. In between the workshop and the next class, the owner and Destiny were cleaning and making sure the room was ready for the next group. The studio owner (Rhonda, I think) was there and very nice/welcoming. Some studios have a clique vibe, but this place does not. There was a bit of everyone in this studio, so it is an inclusive place. That is nice. I would return for regular yoga, or for more workshops.

I found that a lot of the times they start 2-3 minutes later than scheduled and end a couple minutes earlier so a 45 min class ends up being 35...my daughter has been at other gymnastics classes before and she enjoyed them a lot more. Idk if it's bc this is a huge gym w lots of kids but she just didn't seem to enjoy the classes so I ended up pulling her out.

This gym is ok. A few takeaways from our experience. Things…read morethat could use a bit of tweeking / improvement 1. All staff where the same colored shirts on the same day, so there is an identifiable uniform. Just as cheer wears a certian uniform, socks, shoes, bows etc. So they can be identified and show as a team. (Have different shirts for customers to buy vs the same as staff) 2. *Consistency* in how a class is taught when you have multiple instructors (different one each week) is key for many! (Example: warm up the same, next exercise/apparatuse the same and how the present, explain and demonstrate, and so on) -When there is so much variation students tend to get confused. 3. Show the student how to do the exercise, do not just mark it, as many do not have an idea. Example Cartwheel - show a cartwheel, explain a cartwheel, then help student do cartwheel (just like you do a routine marked or full out, show full out!) 4. When classes are going on, random gym kids are wondering the floor and getting in the way of others. This is a safety hazard and rude to the ones participating in a class. 5. Staff should not be allowed phone use (or even on the mat) during a teaching of a class. 6. Staff greets as one walks in, Hospitality goes a long way in a competitive market (vs talking to friends) Overall kids enjoyed, instructors are nice, however had no big take aways or building on skills. We will be looking for another gym to try.
