The weights are spread out across different sections rather than just one row like at other locations. Two of the wipe stations were out on a Sunday, which isn't great, especially since that's not even a particularly busy day. Overall, it's still a great location and closer to our friends, just in case we decide to do group workouts.

When we asked about canceling, a staff member advised us via text that we needed to wait until the first payment drafted before canceling. Because of that instruction, the cancellation ended up being outside of the three-day rescission window in the contract. When we tried to resolve the issue and explained that we followed the guidance given to us, the refund request was still denied. What's frustrating is that we have the text message showing the instruction we were given, and the membership and sessions were never used at all. We also asked for corporate contact information to have the situation reviewed at a higher level, but were told the billing department was the only contact available. Very disappointing experience with how this situation was handled.

My experience trying to cancel my membership has been unbelievably frustrating and feels designed to make cancellation nearly impossible. When I attempted to cancel, I was told that I could not cancel unless I paid a renewal fee that had not even come due yet. In other words, I would have to pay a future renewal fee just to stop my membership. That made absolutely no sense. Because of this, I went into the gym in person to resolve the issue. I spoke directly with the General Manager, Chris Marriotti, explained the billing situation, and told him that I had been unable to cancel my membership properly. He told me that both my wife's membership and my membership were canceled and that everything was taken care of. Unfortunately, that was not true. Despite being told in person by the general manager that the memberships were canceled, the gym continues to charge the account and has now even added late fees. The memberships still appear to be active even though we were told everything had been handled. So now I am dealing with charges, late fees, and a membership that was supposed to already be canceled by management. This has been an extremely frustrating experience. When a customer goes in person, speaks to the general manager, and is told everything is resolved, that should be the end of it. Instead, it has turned into an ongoing billing issue. If you are considering joining this gym, I strongly recommend reading the contract very carefully and understanding exactly how their cancellation process works before signing anything.

I understand that costs increase over time, but when membership dues increase this significantly, I also expect the services and amenities included with that membership to remain consistent--or improve. Instead, I was just informed after my spin class that Life Time Frisco is eliminating spin classes altogether. This is extremely disappointing because spin is one of the primary classes I regularly take, along with yoga and strength training. The variety and quality of classes have always been a major part of what justified the cost of our membership. There have also been other frustrations. This summer, we went to the pool on a Sunday afternoon expecting to be able to order food from the café, only to find it closed with no one working. There have also been multiple occasions when the dry sauna has been out of order. Any one of these things by itself might not seem significant, but collectively they are frustrating when a family is paying nearly $450 every month. We've remained loyal to Life Time for years because we have genuinely enjoyed being members. However, other gyms have continued to reach out to us, and at this point we are seriously considering whether it makes sense to switch to somewhere that provides more value for the price. When the price of a premium membership continues to increase while services and amenities are being reduced, it's difficult not to question the value. I really hope Life Time Frisco listens to its long-term members and takes a serious look at whether the experience being provided still matches the premium price being charged.

I instantly felt welcomed. My friend I went with raved about the instructor, Anthony Young, and he was fantastic! I told him about a foot injury I had and he continuously came to check on me throughout the class to make sure I wasn't overextending myself while also helping me with modifications. The workout was high energy but not extremely difficult which allowed me to focus on my form and go at my own pace without feeling overwhelmed. Anthony walked around the class, adjusting forms and having one on one mitt time with multiple students. It had been a while since I last boxed so I was a little nervous to get back into it, but Anthony's kind and welcoming demeanor made me instantly feel at ease. The facility is well kept and clean, and there's lots of parking out front. Next time I'm in Dallas, I'll definitely be going back to take Anthony's class!
