I can see muscle definition like never before in my legs, it's crazy. The yoga classes are great. I really enjoy the Yin class, it's my hour of mental health each week. My friend got me started on Yoga Basics. It's not necessarily an easy class but rather focuses on the right posture. As someone whose journey to Yoga started at bigger gyms this is really important to me. They take the time to explain the proper positions and if you are off they will tell you how to correct it. (After an IT injury, I've learned the importance of posture!). There are a several classes I haven't tried like Booty Bunz and gym sticks that people love. There is also tighten and tone that I like but totally kicks my butt. Zumba is fun and I recommend trying out different instructors because they all have their own take on things.

I could always tell that the classes were jam packed, and I would always hear the music playing at the nail salon, so one day I was curious enough to walk over to the studio to learn more about the classes, and I am so glad that I did! I have been in love with the classes ever since! The first time I participated in a class, it was not as difficult as I assumed. I remembered back then, both Alisa and Mallory were so very nice, and professional, I loved taking both of their classes. I also remember taking Ria's class for the first time, and she was such a fiery ball of energy, I loved it! I'm not as consistent as I used to be with attending classes, but there are a majority of classes to participate in. And what I really appreciate and like is that the daily schedule is flexible, and some days the last class offered is at 8:00 p.m., which is very convenient for me. B/c I can get off of work, run errands, prepare dinner, and have time to still exercise in the late evening. I know there is a Mixxed-Fit class that is offered, Zumba, there is a Zumba-Gold class, and several other classes. There are also classes that are offered for children. Again, I can't say enough positives about the studio. The staff are very professional and always so pleasant, the classes are accommodating and there are several classes offered, plus different times accommodate every schedule, and the pricing of the classes are very reasonable. Individuals can pay per class, or purchase passes for different amounts. Studio Z Fitness is worth trying out if close in the Sterling Heights area!

The classes are fun and always different so you should not get bored. It is pricey but worth it. My only complaint is that this is not the sort of gym you can just drop in to for some light cardio or to do your own thing. They have plenty of weight loss classes but any additional training has to be scheduled with a trainer. It is perfect to ensure accountability but for me, sometimes I just want to be left alone to work out at my own pace and I cannot afford two gym memberships. I recently put a freeze on my membership at AFS to join a gym for the winter but I know will find my way back in the spring, if not before.

My favorite trainer (ICE) switched locations and I didn't like the other trainers as much. Within 5 minutes of being here, I was speaking to the owner, and my day was made. ICE teaches here now!!! I was sooo happy!! He is literally the best and sweetest person ever. I took a class with one of the other trainers and it was very very challenging. I stayed to say hi to ICE after because he was teaching in half an hour. I didn't think he'd remember me and he did!! He got soooo happy to see me and gave me a huge hug! I even took a picture with him and he hugged me like 3 more times I love him!! He said that I'm always welcome in his class whenever I want. I took 30 min of his class and it was as amazing as I remembered it to be. His class is so fun and challenging. The gym is also really cool. It has portraits made out of boxing gloves and license plates. Such a cool vibe, I wouldn't even expect a gym like this to be in MI. Definitely check out this gym and take a class with ICE!!!! The group classes include bootcamp, The Grind (I'm scared to even try it from the name), and cardio kickboxing. Bootcamp classes are 1/2 kicking boxing and 1/2 Tabata style. The music during class will keep you hype & works well with punching a heavy bag. Classes are held as early as 6am and as late at 7:30pm. It's cool that they have classes 7 days a week. The owner is really nice, but don't let that fool you. Classes are intense, but you work at your pace. My pace, slow pace. He offers personal training sessions (in home or at the building). Classes are reasonably priced and will give you a real workout whether a newbie or athletic. Tip: It is right (less than .25 miles) past 13 Mile Rd. and you have to drive to the back of the building to get in. There are boxing gloves there to use, but you can buy a pair there (or a sporting goods store) for yourself if you don't want to share sweat.

I went to this dance studio for one of my friends birthday party. We all participated in the…read moreFlirty Chair Dance class, and the Twerk class. It was so much fun! The studio was nice and clean! We were allowed to bring in food, drinks, and decorations, so that was very convenient! And the instructor really taught at a pace that everyone was able to feel comfortable with, and try! The instructor was a very nice young lady, and professional. I believe her name is Jai and she is the owner. I would recommend for women to check out some of the classes, as I know there was a pole class added and cardio classes!

Josh was an excellent instructor and he was able to make sure everyone had the right form and posture for each rep. Everyone is super nice and supportive. I appreciated how there were enough verbal/ visual directions so if you were a first-timer or repeat client, you can still get in an intense 1-hr workout. They have fantastic student deals and the night time sessions during the week ultimately sold me on signing up as a client. Looking forward to exercising more and having fun.
