Be very careful about giving a card on file because they apparently can't be trusted and they have no signed agreement for auto billing. Great way to scam customers.

This is a class you would take in addition going to the gym but not on the same day. The coach takes their time to explain everything in the beginners class and they coach you through getting into and maintaining proper form. Signs everywhere reminding you that you better have paid your $1.50 an hour! There is of course a free dirt lot across the busy road for your convenience. Or a parking 'annual pass' you can purchase from the Rochester Hills website. Our society struggles with the concept of 'the third place'. Parks and playgrounds are a haven for families and a community builder outside of work and home. What in the world is the motivation behind suddenly charging for parking? 1 - The City of Rochester Hills wants to prioritize park access for its citizens? Charging for parking doesn't keep out non-residents and in fact just causes Rochester Hills citizens to pay more for something they are already paying for. 2 - The park is often extremely crowded so charging for parking may reduce visitor count? If this was the motivation I am confident this strategy is not working. 3 - We want to encourage more families to park in the dirt lot across the street and attempt to cross a highway? I have more faith in humanity than that. Oh, I think I got it! To quote Tim Robinson's sketch 'The Driving Crooner' - "I gotta figure out how to make money on this thing..it's simply TOO GOOD!"

Also, there was a building with the fire truck painted on that I assume has bathrooms or a tribute area inside. I can't say for sure because the doors were locked and you couldn't see much through the doors. The only downfall to this park is no obvious place for bathrooms. I assume it's in the building but I cannot say for sure. I also saw a few adults walking with fishing poles and equipment. I guess you can go fishing around here as well. I believe there's hiking trails as well if your interested in that also. This park is a great addition to the community and everything about it was impressive. I am sure I will be back in the future!

Club Pilates has been a life-saver for me! I started after 6 mos of PT for a bad back- I needed to strengthen my core or face a 3rd back surgery. In August, I received a call from a collections agency stating I owed $360 to this studio, even though I hadn't attended classes all year and did not authorize any membership renewals. I reached out via email and phone repeatedly to Pure Barre to discuss, but received no communication. I was worried about the charge affecting my credit score, so I paid it and thought that would be the end. Several months later, I receive another call from the same collections agency, this time for a charge of $419 for Pure Barre. Again, I called and emailed repeatedly, even emailing/calling the corporate headquarters, but received no communication from Pure Barre regarding this charge. I paid the collection because I'm worried about the impact on my credit score, but reached out to Pure Barre to request a refund. I haven't attended class since February 2020 and received zero communication from Pure Barre but yet I owed collections over $700 !?!? This is inexcusable to me and I still haven't received a refund. I understand covid has been tough for fitness studios, but by conducting their business this way, Pure Detroit/Birmingham has lost a customer (and I'm sure I'm not the only one).

Instead, my experience with a specific weekend instructor has been incredibly uncomfortable and unprofessional--ranging from her constantly complaining about being tired or sick, to making personal digs at me, and most recently, making a hostile face at me that forced me to walk out of class mid-session. Because of my job, weekends are the only times I can work out. Seeing this instructor's name on the schedule literally raises my blood pressure, and I haven't been able to use the membership I pay for. I want to give a shout-out to Lauren, the manager, who has been absolutely lovely, understanding, and validating every time we've spoken. But unfortunately, understanding isn't enough when little to no action is taken to actually correct the behavior. A gym/studio should be a safe space where you feel cared for and motivated. The dance studio that was marketed to the landlord as a yoga studio, is small enough that the music volume can be controlled, however, the owner jacks the music up and wears a completely unnecessary headset all of which is entirely disruptive to the neighbors. Rude when approached. Overall terrible for the neighborhood. Don't recommend supporting.

A month has passed since I used the Groupon and I still find myself coming back for more. I also managed to buy a 3 months Unlimited Yoga Pack for $199 ($100 Off Summer Special). I am currently addicted to the YinShape Hot Vinyasa Class, a class in a very hot room (around 85-90 F) and the place gets hotter as the class gets bigger. I usually create a puddle of sweat around so I always bring a yoga mat towel on top of my yoga mat to avoid slipping. Face towels are also provided in the studio. Another favorite class of mine is the Slow Flow Candlelight. Everyone should try this. The class is so serene and soothing with candles spread all over the bamboo floor. How relaxing is that??? Giuliana is my favorite instructor so far. She teaches most of my classes. She sets the ambience for the practice and motivates you to breathe (to achieve Victoria's Breath aka ujjayi breathing aka oceanic breath) throughout the practice. Giuliana also encourages you to create a modified pose when the yoga pose is far too advanced. She's very helpful in guiding you with the poses, especially for beginners. Jackie also does a great job teaching. She has a very calm personality that draws you in thus creating a very tranquil mood. The studio is very eco-friendly. From the cool bamboo wood floors to the zero VOC paint on the wall, the whole place is environmentally and socially responsible. The studio is also equipped with 2 restrooms/changing rooms. I have had Giuliana for the majority of my classes, and she does a wonderful job at providing instruction on how to easily flow into the postures and creates a wonderful mood and focus during the classes. I've also had Jackie for a Hot Vinyasa class (she kicked my ass during that class, but in a really good way) and Lindsay for the Ashtanga Elements class. Another great feature about the studio is that everything is made with recycled, chemical-free and toxic-free materials. The studio offers a pretty wide variety of classes at convenient times throughout the day and evening.
