Nice size baseball field. 2 basketball courts, small skate park with ramps and a play area. Small but things to do for kids to let out some energy. They have a community room that's great for events! Sorry I didn't have any pictures. But it's a good little park. read more

Rowley Park is a great place to walk! It's clean and safe. I walk there 3 to 4 days a week.

Baseball diamonds, a gym, newer playground equipment, a skate park, a huge open, lush grassy area, located in a hear neighborhood...what more can you ask for in a park? I hadn't been here in a while and came for the Gardena Jazz Fest. It was very well organized. Parking attendants were helpful. The event was well organized. Music was great. There was a variety of vendors who were set up in areas that didn't take away from seating. There was plenty of port-a-potties next to the restrooms with outside sinks. The fest allows food and drinks, high is the best part! read more

I would say a 4 star for this park. Huge baseball diamonds, 2 that is which are back to back with lighting included. Basketball courts and tennis courts take up part of the property and the grass area of the park where the picnic tables and grills are located. The sand lot areas where the "jungle gym" for the kiddies can play. That's where we come in. Of course, during the week, there are a few of us who don't bother nobody, disregard a few signs such as no soccer or do not play soccer or something like that. Guess what, we play soccer every now and then few times a week at best. Something fun to stretch the legs and suck in some night air. This is something fun to do while I get some excercise in the mix. Tonight was a good way to sweat out the rest of this nagging cough as this cold I've nurtured for nearly a month had disappeared which prevented me from this great form of outlet. I just want to say thank you to mi compadres who allow me to join them in running after a silly little soccer ball every now and then. read more

I've been coming to this park since I was a kid. It's a nice place to go since it has lots of space for parties. There are basketball courts (indoors and outdoors), tennis courts and baseball diamonds. There are two parts of the park where they have play grounds. The uphill has more of an updated look compared to its downhill counterpart. The downhill has more tables for picnics, parties and BBQ's and is even good for kite flying in the open spaces away from the trees. Although the signs say no dogs allowed in the park, many of the community members take their dogs walking here anyway. The Gardena Police Department doesn't bother you about it which is nice because other places are pretty adamant about not letting your pooch walk. I say be sure to bring doggy bags with you for poop patrol. I think long as there isn't mounds of poop everywhere and no incidents with dogs not on leashes the park are okay with dogs being in the park area. Rowely park has all kinds of events throughout the year that is free. There is the MLK Day Parade and carnival in February. They put on a free show of Fireworks for the 4th of July. I used to go to the park to view them up close, but now its just easier to sit in my drive way and watch. There isn't that much of a difference, but its nice that its one of the few places that doesn't charge you. The park also holds the Jazz Festival in August and its a nice event as well. I've never been to the actual event, but I can hear the music from my house! For Halloween, they have a carnival and even transform one of the buildings into a haunted house. During Christmas they'll have Santa show up on the back of a Fire Engine provided by the Fire Department and pass out candy and other things to the kids that are there. This park is very community oriented which I love and keeps kids out of trouble with the programs that they have here. read more

I've frequented this park with family dozens of times over the years and today I decided to leave a review. Over that time it has seen a number of remodels. I came today and noticed they put in a good sized "skate-park" area. In addition to that it has two newer play grounds, one for older kids and one for smaller kids. There an outdoor basketball court and two shooting courts as well as an indoor gym. Along with the huge grass area is a large baseball field that often get converted to a soccer field. The park has a closing time and the facilities may not always be open unless there is actual park staff there but most of the time you can see guys playin basketball til late. Throughout the year the park also plays host to a few events like the Gardena Jazz Night, MLK Parade/Fest, Fourth of July celebration as well as kids soccer, baseball and basketball. This park definitely serves it's purpose and it's be nice to see Gardena throw more money at it as time goes on, each addition has been a benefit to the kids and the community. read more

Great to see teams practicing here and everyone enjoying time with their friends and families. Lots of parking space. More needs to be done here to make this welcoming. It's functional now, but budget cuts show in the lack of updated facilities and amenities. read more

Super chill park for a barbecue. We met here on a Saturday afternoon and had a great time. Grilled and laid out some blankets and chairs. There were a couple ants or two, but no crazy critters. Plenty of parking and the perfect mix of sun and shade. Two thumbs up! read more

This is a great skateboard facility, amazing for tricks and hanging out writing yelp reviews. Today i am much too tired and sore to do anything so i am sitting and watching, but most days i rip the fuck outta this place. The locals are great and always down to tell you how good they can roll a joint. Which is fucking cool. Because weed is cool. If youre really lucky the ice cream man sometimes comes by and you can enjoy a beverage or an ice cream. Shits cash. read more

Came out with brother in law to play hoops with his coworkers. Park has been renovated by local NBA superstar Brandon Jennings. Equipped with skateboard area and redone courts with special rubber mats on the blacktop. Open space for the community to enjoy the BBQ areas and baseball fields. Came out during the day to enjoy that LA sunshine, didn't see too much negativity in terms of character issues but like any park be mindful of your surroundings. Only drawback was the one full court and two half courts, with all the space it would have been nice to utilize more of the area for more full court action. I'm all I'm glad I came out to see this local gem and the good from one individual to give back. read more

Food wrappers in the sandbox, teenage to mid-twenties guys hanging out in the seating area just feet away from the sandbox smoking weed and shooting dice. I stayed about 5 minutes and left as soon as my child started reaching for garbage in the sand. Never again. read more

I've been coming here for a little over 3 years now and it's become my home court for basketball. Every Thursday my high school friends and I get together to catch up and play some friendly basketball on the outdoor courts when it's warm and inside the gym when it's cold. The people there are mostly nice but you do get an occasional sketchy person. I've come to know a lot of the people that frequent the park as I do and it's all love amongst us. As far as the facilities go it's a big step up from parks you see in the hood. But probably could be a little scary if you're not used to seeing people hanging around at night smoking. read more
