Absolutely perfect stay. The condo was spotlessly clean and updated very nicely. The kitchen was stocked with everything you need to cook a meal with. The patio faced the ocean. Wonderful to hear the surf and see dolphins on occasion. The sunrises were indescribably beautiful. The beds comfortable, even the pullout couch bed was comfortable. (We had a 65 year old grandma on it, and she liked it). We slept with the patio door open enough to hear the surf at night. The staff at Roxann Towers is incredibly friendly as well. Always a greeting when you walk through the lobby. The location is perfect. You can walk anywhere. The boardwalk is a 3 minute walk away with lots of food choices. We are sad to leave. Already booked next year. There's no other place that would be more suitable. read more

So we got a hotel for a week over here and let me Telya it was just about the worst experience we have ever had in the hotel we didn't get blankets until two days before we left and we didn't have any shower curtains and the only one that they gave us was moldy the lazy river has cockroaches in it and the remote for the TV doesn't even work it was a really trashy experience and all the people who wrote good stars are fakes and the showers were very disgusting there was no cleaning before we got here read more

Pros first: Paula and Jeff are AMAZING Excellent Air Conditioning in the Condo Excellent NEW Bathtub in the bathroom that I could lean back in for a bath Comfortable Bed Excellent Beach Access Decent Balcony - view somewhat obstructed due to concrete wall (chairs on Balcony not the greatest but at least there ARE some chairs and a table) Decent Layout of Condo Good Location - close to everything! EXCELLENT door key that NEVER once let me down or locked me out Had pools that I didn't use-but they looked nice- Had a rinse off area to get the sand off before you went back inside Reasonably priced - BUT you get what you pay for **When I go to the Beach I go FOR THE OCEAN and I don't have to have Fancy but CLEAN is a necessity. In one way this was "RETRO" and took me back to my childhood which I liked. In another way there is not anything "clean" about the hallways, elevator, HOWEVER the people that work here are VERY NICE and OVER WORKED. Just like every where else - it's difficult to get anyone to want to work these days. CONS: After driving ALL day long in a thunderstorm and major traffic Construction all I wanted to do was get checked in and go to my room. The first thing I see in the bathroom was feces smeared all over the toilet seat. I was far to tired to call the front desk and I had brought cleaning supplies with me and plastic gloves so I cleaned it up. However, the NICE man at the front desk called to check on me and because he asked, I did report this incident. I don't want this happening to any other people who check in here. I feel like a housekeeping person did this on purpose. It made me wonder what else they had done to the room. The sheets on the bed were musty smelling but I had brought a clean towel with me from home so I placed that over my pillow and just prayed that the sheets had been laundered. I always wipe things down when I travel even if something LOOKS clean I clean it anyway so I did that for about an hour and and a half before I could ever get a shower and go to bed. EARLY THE FIRST morning right after the Sun had came up I got dressed and I put on my DARK sunglasses to go for a walk along the shore line. There is a lady that works here who is a housekeeper who is terrified of other humans. I didn't realize she worked there and I got on the Elevator with her. As I said I had on dark Sunglasses, it was EARLY in the morning and I wasn't LOOKING at her to try to figure out who she was. I just saw a HUMAN. I didn't have a mask on and she did. She just about bit my head off. She went on a rampage about not being allowed to be in the same elevator with me. I got off the elevator the minute I realized what was happening. She insisted that I get back on the elevator b/c I was a guest and she would get the next one. She had my heart pounding out of my chest. I apologized profusely but she wouldn't calm down. This happened on the floor that I stayed on. It made me afraid she would figure out which room I was in and go in there and mess with my stuff. THIS RUINED MY ENTIRE TRIP HERE, even more than the feces that was smeared on the toilet seat. I actually felt afraid to leave my room after this happened. I was able to go down to the beach ONCE while I was there as I had already paid for chairs and an Umbrella. I feel sorry for the people that work here. They are understaffed and overworked and this one lady is absolutely TERRIFIED of other humans - I guess she thinks we are all walking around with ___19____ and are going to give it to her. I felt REALLY sorry for the man that checked me out. He seemed absolutely EXHAUSTED. He did help me but I had to PRACTICALLY beg for him to do so. I was traveling alone and just needed help getting the doors open to get my luggage to my car. The elevator area is VERY TIGHT and they only have 2 luggage racks so that is a bit difficult. It COULD BE a really nice place if whomever owns it would do a RENO on it and update the building and do a deep clean. Which brings me back to that poor lady who is terrified of humans. I guess she didn't see the HORROR that was in the hallways and on the Elevator of this place which had far more GERMS on it that other HUMANS. I DIDN'T report ALL of this but I did report SOME of it while I was there simply in hopes that it doesn't happen to other guests. I didn't want them to think that I wanted any money back or anything like that b/c I know they can't control what their employees do and MOST of them there ARE AMAZING! (There is a young man that hangs out in the front parking lot and asks people for money - which shouldn't be allowed. I felt sorry for him but I don't carry cash and couldn't help him) read more

I visit myrtle beach often. I love the atmosphere. Up until my last visit though, I just couldn't find a decent place to stay; especially when I don't have my 10 yr old with me. This place was great. Great location, walking distance to lots of attractions, and restaurants...but most importantly....IT WAS CLEAN!!! Do you know how hard it is to find a good, CLEAN, OCEAN FRONT lodging? Man... I am extremely disappointed on how cold hearted the worker is. I'm under the age of 18 and I got locked out my hotel room and nobody in the room was answering their phone. So I kindly asked for a spare room key for just that moment , the woman said "Well you better wake them up" so currently I'm locked out at 2:30am on a balcony sleeping . My family and I have stayed at Roxanne Towers many times over the years and love it. The staff is very helpful, courteous and accommodating. All rooms have a fantastic and unobstructed view of the oceanfront. It's close to the attractions and activities near the SkyWheel at the Boardwalk. This hotel is a condo setup and featured a washer/dryer and studio kitchen, all which worked out well. We choose to spend a few extra dollars and get the penthouse, which just means top floor ocean view. It was worth the view, but the penthouse should also feature some more added features. Perhaps a lounge couch for the balcony or upgraded amenities. Pros - This hotel could not be in a better location, best value, access to the beach, ease of parking, fast wi-fi, properly stocked kitchen (Only thing missing was a measuring cup), and friendly staff. Cons - Master bed is poor at best with terrible pillows, decor is aging (1990s style), plastic furniture for the balcony is poor, basic cable, pools are smaller compared to some other near-by competitors although featured a lazy river. Summary - Probably the best value you will find in a great location. read more

We just returned from a 10 night stay! The location is by far the best...so close to everything you would want to do... The view is a million dollar view by far..simply stunning! The only problem is the furniture is extremely uncomfortable... We chose to stay in acouple of nights and watch movies and the couch was so dated and awful to sit on we had to get all the pillows from the rooms and sit on them. The master bed was comfortable as they had but a comfort pad on it but the other beds were like rocks..ok maybe for children but not for adults. Did call down to see if we could get pads for those beds..could not do it but did tell me that the beds are supposed to be replaced... Good note... The staff were so nice and lovely everytime we went thru the lobby! Jeanie is a doll! We loved Roxanne and will stay again..just hope the furniture is updated soon :) read more

We went to myrtle beach for the first time. After an hour of trying to decide were to stay we thought we settled for this place. Apon entering, what we thought was a hotel room. We were surprised to see it was a fully furnished condo. I couldn't belive it. Ocean view for $85 a night in the off-season. That's just crazy! We live on the west coast the min off-season or not for a ocean view beachfront would be at least $300 a night. All I can say it was beautiful and centrally located to everything! read more

Week of July 18, 2015. Still here:( Very disappointed! See pics. The condo is very nasty. We rented it from Elliott Beach Rentals. They did come and change the battery n the smoke doctors after 3 days of beeping. Offered to send cleaning while we were out but we weren't in the room and didn't want to use our vacation waiting on a cleaning crew. just didn't want them around our personal belongs. (This should have already been done) took an hour and a half to cook 2 tatinos pizza in the oven. The burners are barely hanging on. This is a hug let down. Very out dated and run down. The sofa bed matters needs replaced bad. It's flat. The glass doors to the balcony are just filthy. You can't even see out of them. I can't tell you how upset we are about the quality of this room. Mold in both bedrooms, and all around the fridge, headboard fell off when I wiped the dust off from it. Windows so dirty you can't see out. Stove is disgusting, utensils are not in good shape. read more

Hotel was a little older, but well maintained. Every hotel of this age will have it's issues. Any that we came across were quickly addressed by management, a sure sign of caring and a commitment to quality of your stay. Inside pool was great for colder days and the rooms were comfortable. A great deal as long as you don't expect the Ritz Carlton, but for a third of the price, how can one seriously complain about anything here? Great location close to everything in walking distance too! Have stayed at the Anderson and the Camelot and this place offers a much better value for a much lower price. Washer and dryer in unit was also great to have. read more

This is one of the most nicest view and room we ever had. We came on the off season and stayed in a two bedroom suite. The view was so open and I could open my bed room door and hear the waves ... Miss Jeaine was the sweetest and most helpful staff there. The maids was cleaning our rooms every morning. We stayed on the 10th floor ...their jacuzzi tub was so hot helped my bones lol. Also the beds are very comfortable and we had a washer and dryer. Only complain I wish the pools and lazy river was bigger. I can't complain about the location read more

I stay here every time I am in Myrtle. It's central to everything and I always get a room with a beautiful ocean view. The rooms are always clean and spacious, which can sometimes be difficult to find in the Myrtle area. Additionally the staff is really helpful with activity suggestions. The last time I visited it rained the whole time, but the staff helped us find indoor activities to do so we could still enjoy our vacation. Highly recommend! read more

We just stayed 8 nights here. When we arrived we were greeted by Jeanne which she was very friendly and helpful since this was our 1st time there. Staff very combative arguementive and flat refused to hisself and answer questions on pricing. . Called just a minute ago. To ask a question about pricing. The gentleman finally told me after asking him for his name and the forth time of asking a price he refused to release his name. But asked me where I was. First of all it's your job to give me your name and you refused but I would have not needed your name if you would have done your job and answered the question on pricing. But instead he's worried about where I'm calling from. Where I'm calling from is not his paycheck. Refused to give me his name but claimed I used profanity. No profanity here is that the best you can come up with to try to make yourself be right. If you were in the right and I really used profanity why did you not feel the need to give me your name.. because he was out of line and if he can't do his job in that respect then I can't imagine them doing there job and fixing the problems. First problem I see is RUDE DISRESPECTFUL staff that's incompetent of giving pricing information. read more

We have stayed here several times over the years. If you want a clean place to stay......this is it. The rates are very reasonable and the service is great. They don't elevate the rates when there is a special event on the beach (country concert) like some other nearby hotels. read more
