This recommendation is a long time coming: Roy Rogers has come to our rescue on three different occasions and were super considerate, professional and with very reasonable pricing. The first occasion was when we moved into our house and discovered that the previous occupant had actually taken a key part out of the AC unit before they left. RR was able to figure out the issue and had a spare piece (a T-shaped connector that goes in the exterior box of the AC) on hand. I think we weren't even charged for the visit, only for the part. The second time our heat went out in the middle of winter while I was away on business and my wife was home alone with our 3-month old. After a night in a hotel we called another company who came out and told us that the whole heater needed to be replaced and tried to up-charge us in an ice-cold house. We got rid of them and called in RR, and they spotted the problem and had it fixed within an hour. My wife told me that she really did feel rescued. The third time was just recently when our AC started making a lot of noise. Knowing our AC was old and should probably be replaced, I tried to be savvy and called in another AC company for comparison pricing. They looked it over and told us that the motor had gone out and we'd be better off replacing everything. We then called in RR, and they discovered it wasn't the motor but "the wheel" which had been broken. Since we were talking a complete replacement, they went ahead and replaced the part at no charge so we wouldn't be stranded without AC while considering our options (unlike the other guys). The pricing they gave us on AC and heater complete replacement (Trane brand) beat the other guys by over $3K! At this point I'm done with being cheated by any other HVAC company and will go with RR every time. I've spread my story around too, and know of at least one other household who were very happy for the recommendation; they were pleasantly surprised at how much savings they realized by going with RR. read more

I have owned 2 homes in the past 38 years. Thus I have had been through the list of HVAC franchise company's in central Indiana. The worst being One Hour Heating & Cooling! So when I went back on the search for a reparable company to service my A/C I saw the Roy Rogers commercial on TV one morning. I called and scheduled an appointment to have my 3 year old unit serviced. Who showed up at my door, but the owner "Roy Rogers!" Roy was polite and professional. After inspecting my A/C he pointed out the misgivings of the other companies that had incorrectly worked on my unit the past couple of years. Roy was very knowledgeable, upfront and to the point in explaining to me what needed fixed and adjusted. I really appreciated his candid honesty and willingness to work with me to resolve the issues that needed addressed. When he finished I was feeling good about finding a good HVAC guy and gained a friend in the process! The first thing that impressed me about Roy is he answered the phone himself when I called today. No answering service, no automated message. I got an actual real person. It was Saturday morning and I was looking for a 24/7 company as my furnace had gone out the day before. Roy said he could be at my house by 2pm but would text me if he could come earlier. He actually arrived by 11:45! He explained everything to my husband and me. He took his time, was very thorough, and helped us understand what was really wrong with the furnace. He cleaned up when the work was finished. And his prices are very reasonable. He doesn't try to sell you ANYTHING! No service plans, no extras. He is exactly what we wanted...an HVAC expert who is willing to come out anytime to make sure we are taken care of. He reminds me of my parents' furnace repairman when I was growing up. I did my homework on Roy Rogers and thankfully he is the real deal. When I called Roy, I sort of vented my frustration of my situation and how the quality of craftsmanship has gone to the wayside it seems, thankfully he had a good ear. Roy came to my house and spent 3 hours trouble shooting my HVAC systems. He made it a personal challenge to find the solution and disassembled and inspected anything he could see and touch. He explained in great detail how the systems works, what exactly he was doing and why. No behind the scene or hoodwinked methods. Roy charged me for call-out/inspection + Freon. Let's just say it was very reasonable. Airtron charged me $300/hour for labor that should be criminal. Roy knew his stuff and I can tell the difference in experience from the other 3 techs that visited my house previously. Roy Rogers truly is as good as it gets!!! Roy Roger HVAC is a Godsend!! Due to medical reasons, I need to be in AC on humid days. Our AC went down on a HOT, HUMID Wednesday. I called another vendor (unfortunately not Roy Rogers) in Clermont. The serviceman was very nice, but he literally BROKE our AC. To my dismay, the next available Clermont serviceman was unable to arrive until Friday!?! (very poor service) My husband, sensing something was amiss and concerned about my health, called Roy Rogers HVAC. Mr. Rogers personally came to my rescue that day, Thursday afternoon! He repaired the unit immediately and illustrated what the Clermont tech did incorrectly. Mr. Rogers is professional, knowledgeable, and trustworthy. Roy Rogers came out the evening of the day we called to have our failing HVAC looked at, after we got off work, which was so accommodating to full time working parents. They were polite, knowledgeable, prompt and treated us like family. They checked for carbon monoxide in our house because of rust in our furnace, and even put a new battery in our dead CO detector. We were able to discuss the pros and cons of different HVAC systems. They have great prices that compared to 2 other companies (1 large, 1 local) we had estimates from as well as great financing options. They were able to come out in a few days to install our new system in 1 day. We couldn't have had a better experience with a more trustworthy team. After going though several big name HVAC Companies and being totally turned off with their BS in treating me as if I was another person they could overcharge and do below par service! I am an out of state owner and needed my boiler repaired for my tenant and her family right away. Roy was the only one I called on a Sunday night that showed interest in helping me.
