I had the worst experience with this seamstress, she quoted a price and told me she did not have time to write up my receipt after I waited for half hour for my appointment so I left trusting her. When I picked up my items she charged me a lot more than quoted and told me it was my fault for leaving even though she told me she could not write it up. She was extremely rude, no customer service whatsoever. She completely lied and I waited a month for my items to be completed and I decided to pick them up when she had no end date. I have never dealt with such a terrible business and I will never go back. Be careful as she is not honest. read more

Never having pants tailored before I didn't know what to expect. Mind you I am 5'5" and all pants I can buy are too long to fit right. So I searched tailors and found Lilian as I had some pants for a wedding I wanted to fit right. She was able to guess my length without even trying them on. ( She was right) When I picked up the pants they fit perfect and now I wear each pair more than the rest. Needless to say I just dropped off another stack of pants and I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a tailor. After speaking to her she tailors anything so I will be definitely giving her all my business when it comes to any tailoring needs and will recommend her without a doubt. I found some burlap coffee sacks that a local coffee house was throwing away and thought I would make something out of them for my daughter and goddaughter for Christmas. I found step by step instructions on how to make a cool looking handbag out of them, so I hunted down or bought all of the materials and went to work. I've done some basic sowing before, and I think I'm pretty good at following instructions, but it wasn't too long until I realized I was in over my head and needed the help of a professional. This was way too hard of a project for a novice like myself. I called Lillian and explained my situation, and she said she would be happy to help. I brought everything over to her and explained what I was trying to do. I also explained how these were supposed to be Christmas presents, and I'd really like them done before Christmas. Oh, and my goddaughter lives in Chicago, so I'd like one of them done by the Wednesday before Christmas so I could get it there in time. This didn't give her much time to get the first one done, but she said she would do it. Long story short, she got both of them done on time, and they look fantastic. The kids absolutely love them. I have been going to Lilian for two years now. She has done multiple projects for me from a formal full-length sequined gown, to hemming pants to altering a flower girl dress to a first communion dress. All completed in a timely fashion and to perfection with a reasonable price for the great work. The latest project was altering a swim suit. I needed it taken in before an upcoming vacation and I had limited time for the project. Lillian not only worked past her hours to get it done, but when she was finished it looked like the swim suit was brand new! She is so talented! It should be noted that most tailors in the metro will not alter swimsuits or leotard/dance wear - it seems they do not have the skills to do so. It should also be noted that Lillian has a wonderful spirit and kind heart. I feel very comfortable having her touching clothes on me, asking her opinion about fashion needs and I completely trust her. She is a gem!
