Gave them ample time (3 months) to produce the award. They've made the same one for years now for what I needed it for. I did get ahold of a Laura after not hearing back after a month(+) and she said she'd check in the order and I never heard anything again. A few days before we were to leave to present the award I left another message asking when we could pick it up - they had our deadline and nothing. No call back. They never called to apologize, follow up, give an excuse, nothing. So disappointing on various levels. read more

Okay, this is the third time I've given a rating for Royal Awards in Eugene, OR. There is a good reason for this. I originally gave them 5 stars for the quality of their work, in spite of a small mistake of switching the ending words on a couple plaques. But, they agree to correct the mistake and thus the very good rating. I then gave them 1 star based on the fact that the correction was never made and all communication ceased. That was late summer of 2022. Now in January of 2023, we contacted them again. They responded and apologized profusely. This Mom and Pop business went through some difficult health issues reportedly. The owner offered to make the corrections we asked for plus make two further plaques we wanted to honor, and to do this for free. I am impressed with how badly they felt about not getting back to us and finishing the job last summer, but they have done so now. I cannot give 5 stars, but I'll give 4 for finally resolving the matter and our acceptance of their sincere apology, their health issues over the last few months, and for making two additional plaques for free. read more

Is there less than one star? We purchased our bar stools from them several years ago. Not an 'easy' transaction to begin with, but I try very hard to shop locally, and ultimately, they came through. I needed something for one of the same chairs about two years later, so I went in and ordered the part. Nice lady wrote it down in her notebook [note - first clue they're about a century behind in customer service] and tells me with a smile "We'll get back to you" - which I later learn is code for "you'll never hear from us again." Several [3-4] diligent 'prompts' over about two months and I was ultimately able to get them to actually follow up on my order and place it. They told me they 'gather their orders until they have enough' - code: we save a few bucks on our shipping costs by ignoring customer orders for weeks/months. Never heard of online competition, huh? Fast forward several years. Like child-birth, I've forgotten the pain of my past dealings with their customer-obstruction-non-service, and I need new feet for the same chairs. I keep my records, call them with the exact model, and order new feet. Same smiling voice, same "we'll get back to you when it comes in," same result - NOTHING." Later, I go in, ask about my order, politely explain my 'vexation' with my prior experiences, and smiling voice tells me they'll call the manufacturer and get right back to me - promising to call me within two days. Nothing. And then tell me the same thing two weeks later. Nothing. And then two months later, nice-voice-on-phone says "oh, yeah, weren't you the guy who ordered ....." Several months after that, found replacements online, still haven't ever heard back from Riyal Awards. So, as hard as I try to shop locally [and I try VERY hard], Royal Awards convinced me to go online and shop elsewhere. Retirement in (in-)action! Unless you're REALLY patient - don't go there. If I could give negative numbers for a rating, I wouldn't have enough space or time to give it. These people suck at keeping their inventory up. Especially when it comes to pool gloves. Eugene and Springfield are pool playing towns and the only place to get pool supplies is this shitty shop, which NEVER has what I want. Oooh, they can order something for you. BFD! I can order online to get better quality at a cheaper price and faster delivery. How has this place been open for so long? Too many ignorant people, that's how. read more

We have used Royal Awards four straight years in a row. We host an annual whiskey party where everybody gets a glass with their name engraved on it, so we need new glasses each year. They are also a billiards and dart shop! And we have used that aspect of the store as well. I have always thought the prices are fair, and they have always been friendly. For the past 3 months, I have been trying to get a trophy made for my fantasy football league. I didn't like anything they had, but was told they could custom build one for me. I gave them an idea and they said they would get back to me. Numerous calls, were never delt with. I finally stopped in to see what progress they had made and they couldn't find my order. I went through the entire process again and was told I would get a call. That was two months ago. I found another shop. They like to brag they supply all the trophy's' for the Ducks. Maybe that's where there heart is at and not with the small customer. read more

We have been doing business with Royal Awards for years. This past year or so the customer service has been non-existent. No order confirmation; numerous phone calls and a month later find out that they wanted to know when we emailed the order over. We are done and will find another local company to work with. read more
