I wish I had a before shot of our sink to really give the full impact of the transformation. It was literally orange in color, chipped, cracked, pock marked, the works! And if you take a peek at the finished product you'll see the phenominal job Jose did in making it look like a brand new sink! Originally we had been told the job would take 2 days and we'd have to be out of the house overnight due to the fumes from the paint drying. Well I was incredibly happy when Jose told me he had gotten the whole thing done in one day & as long as it didn't bother us we didn't have to abandon our house for the night because they'd done their best to vent out the area. We were ready to make the overnight elsewhere if we had to but not having to leave our house & getting it done early really meant the world to us in terms of our time/crazy schedule. Their work not only corrected the other contractors mistakes, it also updated the look of our rental unit and made it more sanitary as well. The prior surface had mold, hideous grout and rust accumulating in the bathtub. The other companies I called charged less but there is no sense in trying to save a little in this particular renovation when you're already saving thousands for refinishing instead of replacing. Jose and his team did a few things for my bathroom: repaint shower floor, change shower door and regrout the bathroom floor. I'm really impressed by 2 things: 1. Communication. Communication over text often gets lost from my personal experience. You text about 3 things and the other party replies 2, with 1 of them not answering what you asked. This never is true with Jose. It's always clear and smooth, both in person and on text. When he was here, he even took the time to explain what he was doing. This is extremely helpful for a first time homeowner like me. 2. Professionalism. Jose and team work to the details. They went through the trouble to get the correct paint color and hardware that I wanted. They made sure nothing's at risk of leaking before painting the bath tiles and ended up regrouting a couple areas. They arrived on time and left with my house clean. Jose and his son, Marcos, did a wonderful job refinishing the counters on our 2.5 bathrooms. They did the work over four days and we were very happy with them and the end result. Our hope had been to get the counters looking a little like the white-tan-grey-black speckled granite we have in our kitchen, and it does have a similar feel. If you are going to refinish your counters, Royal Bath Refinishing is the way to go - very professional, friendly, great communication, very clear, hard working, and fair prices. I will recommend them enthusiastically to my real estate clients. A couple of things to know: first, this is a stinky process! They do everything possible to vent the fumes outside, but my suggestion would be to either do it before moving in to a new to you home or do it in summer when it's easier to open up the whole house. (We did it in January.) The other thing to know is that when the counters are refinished, they must be treated carefully. That means no Comet / Ajax or abrasives of any kind. It also means you shouldn't leave bottles or soap dishes in one place for very long. And it means when the counter gets wet, it should be dried right away. We just had our work done, so not sure how much of a hassle that may be, but my sense is that it's worth the extra work to go this route as it is far less expensive than getting new counters. We recommend Royal Bath Refinishing highly to give dated counters a new look for a fraction of the cost of replacement. You won't find nicer or more caring providers anywhere. They really strive for excellence every step of the way. read more

Jose refinished the bathtub of one of my apartments in April 2020. The bathtub looked great and his service was superb. On top of that he offered a warranty for a year. I was very impressed and gave him a great rating. Last month, when the tenant moved out we found that there was a bad spot (4"x4" area near the drain) in the bathtub. Probably that was due to the inproper care by the tenant, or excessive dripping shower head. I called Jose and left him a message without a lot of high hope. you know, in these days, a lot of so called warranty is not going too far. I have a rental in Santa Cruz and I asked Jose to perform a refinish on a tub. When he got there, he said it just needed an acid wash (walls included,) polish the chrome, and re-caulk and it would be almost $200 less than a refinish. I was referred to Jose and squad by my wonderful real estate agent Gwen Chua. Prior to moving into our new home our bathrooms looked like something from the 80-90s. Not really our style.
