So I used to go here long long long ago and they were never awful so when I didn't have time to get my eyebrows done in VA where I live, I figured I could come here when I visited my hometown for an important family event. Worst decision ever. I would have been better off not getting my eyebrows done at all. I told the very nice lady that I didn't want them too thin...I told her this twice. Not only did she make them too thin on one side (like super thin), they weren't even w the other side and the other side looked bad too! I was so upset that I was going to look at mess at such an important event. The management should check the work of the people they hire bc wow. read more

I got my eyebrows and upper lip threaded here for over 2 years. I usually went around noon and either it was in and out or a 30+ minute wait. The last time I visited this salon was the reason I decided on never going back and writing this review. It was a 45+ minute wait and I ended up not being serviced. After waiting patiently for 3 people in front of me on the wait list, the employee who should have been servicing me next, offered a friend of a customer getting a haircut to thread her eyebrows before servicing me. Keep in mind I was next on the 45 minute list and this employee went ahead and prioritized someone else who wasn't on the wait list before me. I got up to leave and the other employee asked me to stay and she would thread me really quick. I refused saying I had waited too long. Aside from my last experience with their customer service, the threading itself was an okay experience. It's a real hole in the wall and honestly the only good reason to go is because it's dirt cheap. $4 eyebrows and $3 upper lip kept me going for 2+ years. The thread itself actually is pretty rough as are some of the employees in the way they handle the threading process. I really felt once like I had my eyebrows sandpapered tbh. 1 star because of the bad service. I would rather pay these people 5x as much to get better service which is what I now do. UPDATE* This incident happened with their new computerized system. Work on having your employees treat all customers with equal respect. That's all. read more

i went here yesterday and the lady was very nice. i only give this place 3 stars because i had asked for the eyebrow tint as well and today it had already faded and my eyebrows look normal. i used to tint my own eyebrows so i just tinted my eyebrows myself today. threading is 6$ and if you want tint it's an additional 7$ prices are very reasonable i just wish the tint would of lasted since i paid for it, but i will definitely be coming back because she got the shape just right! read more

Being a regular customer of threading I choose these place to cut my long hair. I explained her several time what i want to have but I think the lady there is dull...she don't know what she is doing ; just following the random 2/3 step and holding a scissors is not a profession she need to know what the customer want...Moreover she need to know that hair is the beauty for every woman, I am damn mad at that lady every single time when I look at myself I get angry with her....I don't want any one to happen these again: never ever wanna go to this store in my all life. They used to do a great job with eyebrow threading. I think they recently changed owners & now it's real bad. My 2 sisters & mom had already told me but I still came & they messed up my eyebrow after letting it grow out for 2 months. The woman rushed & my eyebrows were thin & uneven. I come to Royal Beauty Salon to get my eyebrows threaded only. Eyebrow threading here is only $4!!!! You can get your upper lip threaded too for an additional $2. I've been coming here for a year now & have had no complaints. This salon is owned by Nepalese people. This is a hair salon, but I've never had my hair done here before. Lawd knows I love a discount. However, I would pay $20 for eyebrow threading instead of returning to this place. I spotted the guy spinning the sign on Beltline while preparing for a girls night out and thought heck ya $4 can't beat the price. The wait was about 15 - 20 mins but I didn't mind because the staff was so nice. Once called back the tech leans my chair back and starts to work on my bushy brows. Halfway through my right eye a big glob of spit fell out of the techs face on to my forehead ( disgusting) and the heffa doesn't acknowledge it, but instead pretends not to know English at all. After locating tissues in my purse to wipe my face (because I wasn't offer any), I tell her with a smile on my face that she unprofessional and NASTY, I kindly gathered my things, left and will never return. The only reason I am giving 2 stars is because the place seemed clean and the staff was very nice. read more

This place is below standard. Tried it out because of the reviews and was completely disappointed. I had to fix the mess the girl made of my eyebrows after I left. The people are nice but their skill level is beginner AT BEST! And it's $5 for eyebrows. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place! read more

Very rude staff.I called for the first time to inquire about the rates and the lady on the other side was too rude she just told me the rates and before I could finish she said she was busy and just hanged up on me.Such kind of behavior is totally unacceptable and speaks volumes about the kind of services and treatments offered.I would never even call this salon again!!!!!! read more
