" Over the years it has been difficult finding products that will provide me with the moisture my hair type requires and being "tender headed" only made matters worse. Having taken down my protective style, I put Renee Ramore hair care line to the test and I was blown away!! I cannot recall the last time my hair had "slip," leggit felt moisturized after shampooing alone. I literally washed my hair a 2nd time just because it felt so good. Shortly after shampooing I used both of the coconut infused conditioners and applied the leave-in. The products are lightweight yet effective . I genuinely felt loved, as though finally, someone thought of catering to women with hair types like mine. I'm accustomed to higher quality products being sold directly to salons yet within my own home, I felt fabulous. What a gift this is! I got mine from Jordans Beauty Supply located in South Shore. Ladies, you owe it to yourselves to check it out!! Thank you so much Tacara Renee!! #ReneeRamore #SelfCare #ILoveMyHair #JuicesNBerries

I been swindled by this thief, called a stylist! I have never experienced this kind of butchered…read moreout of all the salons Ive been to in my life. I found JAI MARIE on Instagram, I booked her via her website. She did a virtual consultation, I sent her videos and photos of the current state of my hair and asked her if I'll need to add color correction to the service. She proceed to tell me no all I'll need is highlights all over to achieve to look that I want. She stated that I can ONLY purchase her hair from her website because she only work with their hair. She claimed the hair was RAW hair, day of service I arrived at the salon, she proceeded to tell me that she cannot achieve the look that I needed without color correcting my hair first. I said go ahead, she then said she cannot because she has a client right after me. She said she would test strand my hair to see how it takes with the color. NO TESTING was done! She slapped dark brown dye all over my hair without forming me. It wasn't until after the wash that I noticed my hair was completely DARK brown and I asked her what was the purpose she said "don't worry I will fix it " it's going to look good". She ensured me she could achieve the look that I wanted without color correction. While installing the microlinks, I noticed this was nowhere near my desired color from the photos. I asked to stop, when I turned around and saw the brassy yellow microlinks strands, I almost cried. At this point there was no going back. She again ensured me that the process was not finished and more will be done to achieve the desired look. I expressed my concerns about my hair, by the end of the process, (8 HOURS). The end product was a brassy yellow nightmare that I couldn't wake up from. I explain to her this was not vision nor was it what we spoke about. In order not to cause any problems, I paid and I left upset with the entire experience. I text her the next morning and explained to her how displeased I was. I ask her if I can get a refund for the bad coloring job $250 out of $557 I paid, not including $410 for the RAW extensions, which turned out to be falsely advertised hair. She told me will not refund any or portion of the services because she spent 8 hours in my hair. 8 hair hours of damaging the hair I purchased and my natural hair, 8 hours of anxiety, 8 hours of my confidence in all hair stylists. I tried reaching out to other salons to see if they could fix this mistake, everyone I reached out to said no expect for one salon. They did a consultation and during which they informed me the was not RAW like she claimed, the hair was over processed, and incorrect installation of the microlinks. So now I have no choice but to take them out. It's like I flushed $1000 down the toilet I am so traumatized and upset, tears are running down my face as I'm writing this review. I put my trust in a licensed professional. All to get the results of an amateur. That's the review

An hour before my appointment time, I received a text from Rameeka indicating that she was running behind and would either need to push my appointment time back or reschedule me. I texted her back immediately indicating that I would like for her to push the time back as I had already taken my hair down. Following my text I called Rameeka because I did not hear back from her via text. However, I got her voicemail. At around 10:00 p.m. I finally received a text message from Rameeka indicating that she did not finish her client from 9:00 a.m. that day until the time she responded to me. She further stated that she would do me on another day and asked what day/time worked best for me. I again responded back to her immediately via text with my availability and asked her to let me know what worked for her. I have still not heard back from Rameeka since my last text.

It seems like they only know how to use excessive heat & chemicals to straighten your hair. I went in for coloring service with Mohammad. My hair was beautifully colored with high and low lights. But overall it was a brassy blonde. I wanted ONE shade cooler and for any colorist this is a fairly simple process. I was initially excited because he has good reviews and recently he created his own blonde hair dye. Upon arriving he sat me down and asked me what I wanted. I told him just a shade cooler which would put me at a light golden blonde. He said ok and was eager to get started. Red flag #1 We did a strand test to see how my hair would respond. He let the strain sit for about 30 mins. The strand was platinum blonde. I specifically told him. I do not want my hair this light. So let's leave it on for less time. He He goes on to explain that he has to lift my hair up in order to deposit the color. This would be true if I had virgin hair or dark hair. My hair had already been bleached so I certainly didn't not 30 minutes of bleach. Red flag #2 I questioned his technique when he began parting my hair without detangling first. He did not detangle my hair before applying the color so as he was applying the color he's tearing my hair apart. His hair dye he created is very drying so I could hear my hair tearing and snapping from my scalp. I asked him if he was going to detangle and he said no it would take too long. Red flag #3 As he is dying my hair he is also dying someone else's hair. I was a bit nervous because he was dying her platinum blonde. And I told him again. I do not want my hair that color. He assured me that it wouldn't be. Despite my requests he leaves the bleach on for 30 minutes. He rinses my hair and it feels like hay. So dry & brittle! I was highly disappointed because my hair was platinum blonde with a green tint. So then he puts a toner on my hair and get this black toner on my roots because he wanted it to match my brows ‍. I had just had my brows microshaded so they were super dark. But I did not ask him to keep my roots dark. I went in for a touch up why wouldn't I want my roots touched up??!! After all the dying was done, my hair was coming out in chunks. I've always had pretty thick hair but after that, I could feel and see my scalp. I was so upset, I began to cry. He keep telling me this is what I asked for. After I said more than once I do not want to be platinum. Even after applying the toner my hair was an ugly platinum blonde with a green hue and black roots. I looked a hot ass mess. He took absolutely no accountability and didn't even express the slightest bit of remorse. Black women, we have to stop letting other people experiment with us. They really think we all have the same hair texture. They have no clue of the difference in textures, curl patterns, porosity. They don't care if our hair is fried or unhealthy afterwards. They don't protect the curl pattern, the actually ruin it. I stopped going to them before when they burned my hair using that blow dryer too close and too long. You're hair will be thin and fragile if you continue to let these people do your hair. I take accountability for not going to an actual colorist who has experience coloring curly hair.
